What helps you out quite a bit is your temperament, you hit it off with the customer, you listen, then you plan your strategy. The mark of an intelligent operator. Well done Ron.
An old trick my father showed me back in 1965 chain a 14' pole about 8" in diameter across the tracks and back right out. The pole will break the sucksion. Keep adding poles ae needed. I used the pole trick in the milatary on a stuck D6 in 1974. Works.
Hi Mr Pratt. Found your videos and most interesting. Familiar with trucks and equipment but first time watching this Big Boy in action. Well done and love your easy informative style. Respect from New Zealand
@@procarrytrucker4101 I've been amazed ... it's like Tator is a natural extension of Ron, like a hand in a glove! I also have come to appreciate Ron: unmatched experience, professionalism, and second-to-none customer service; one cool guy! Thanks for sharing, @Ron Pratt!
I like customers who help out. This is another good customer seeing something that needs to be done and make Ron's life easier. The case taking the snatch block down.
When you pull up on site and your brain says sweet mother of pearl...and also say her kitty kitty. Always nice to have a good civilian helping that knows what he is doing. Impressive!
The operator did a really good job of keeping the tracks from spinning. I was surprised to see it come with just the double line. Kudos to both of these guys.
I’m glad I read the descriptions for every video I ever watch on UA-cam. This one right here is the best on I’ve read in a long long time! I hope everyone else read it too... God Bless You and Yours Sir!
I love watching your videos first because you are a God fearing Man who put God first in your life and you love your family and coworkers. God Bless You stay safe out there Gerard
Your work continues to amaze me with each video. And your work ethic is second to none. Your customer relationships are above reproach. I'd love to see you with a fleet of Tators if it was possible. Because you certainly have the talent
Been watching for two years now I found your channel by searching rollback videos when I first got the job as a driver. I've learned so much from your videos just wanted to say thank you so much. I admire your professionalism and how you make safety the top priority at all times. Keep up the great work Ron. Stay safe out there
Very nice work, Ron. I find it always a pleasure to watch your recovery adventures. Knowing what to do and enjoying what you do make your work day like a walk in the park. I had strong sense of knowing a side pull was not going to be successful. To see the Rotator go off the hard, paved surface was a first for me, and happy to see everything work out for the customer and you. Thanks and blessings to you.
Great video Ron. Your parents did a great job raising you. You remind me of my son, neither of you has ever met a stranger. In your videos every person you encounter seems to be your friend.
this was a battle of suction, gravity, weight, traction, and pulling power. anyone that says they'll never use geometry and math in a tow truck is lying, geometry and math are the two most important things in tow truck, that, and a good sense of humor!
At the end I saw the operator leave, that dozer had mud up in the radiator and under-carriage that needed to be cleaned out right away, but he was gone! Nice work 70,000 lb machine pulling a 40,000 lb machine uphill and buried 3 foot in the mud, Nice work!
Ron I love your videos! I work a lot of long hours and don’t get much free time between work and trade school. But no matter where or what I’m doing I always look forward to/and make the time to sit down for dinner every Friday evening and watch your latest video! Thank you for always making great content!
Sometimes when we get in where we need a little extra traction with lift axle down we slide our boom back as far as it goes I've even extended boom out. I love you videos you have talent sir. We do mostly farm equipment recovery here in NY it takes patients and some ingenuity to get in and out of some of the places farmers go and usually alot of soft ground.
It never to ceases to amaze me the places these tractor operators try to go. Heavy iron, wet & slippery mud just don't mix. I always say to myself "Don't go there" but they do it anyway.
Whewwwwww I'm worn out just climbing that hill the first time ,I couldn't of made it anymore 😁 boy that thing was boggled down with mud , that's what I would call some serious mudding 😄 great job and video as always 👍👍👍👍👍
Real Smooth...Times like that where you think, Please Brakes Hold up...As soon as the Cat started moving it was not an issue, Tator FTW ( For the Win ) D6 is a classic certainly dont see those in action very often.
Excellent both the work and the editing. I truly hope you have a restful July 4 or at least not a job like this one. As always prayers for you and the people you serve.
LOL - Love it... "Cat Fight" & "The Pete that can't be Beat" Also love the detail wording on the Intro Ron... "Tator up on the ropes" like the wrestling guys do before they leap and fly in the air after their opponent... Made me laugh when I read that... Wow that Cat was sucked into that mud like quicksand I'll tell ya... "Pete" had no problems with that bout...! Thanks for the driving part too Ron... Always like to see what's around in the area... Love that spread out farm land scenery, considering we have to drive quite a ways to see something like that... ALSO Always glad to see ya doing a job off the interstate where you don't have to worry about the cars and truck not moving over... Love your videos Ron...! They always make my day & seeing you interacting with folks gives me that extra boost that helps me get through the day too... You are such an inspiration, which is one of the main reasons I watch your channel... Thank you all the way around...! Have a good and safe 4th with your family...!
HI, Great extraction, planned well as said, inline boom lifted, you did work well together, nice and slowly does it, shows your skill in getting out on such a steep bank. Regards welshman2081
A interesting job today The Tator got it done Happy 4th of July Weekend To you and your family Ron and the Midwest crew hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend
I reckon you had fun writing the description for this video, just as much as you had fun pulling out the D6 !!! Enjoyed the ride along too !!! Have a great Independence weekend Sir, along with your families!!! 🇺🇲🇬🇧🇺🇸
Ron, to his coworker at the shop: "I went fishing this morning." Coworker: "What'd you catch?" Ron: "A 19,500kg Cat D6!" Coworker: "Oh your 'Tator really knows how to pull in the big ones!" :D
What a lovely customers you have , Ron. I didn’t understand most of what he said,!!, but sure sounded a nice guy. I now know, there’s mud and there’s Mississippi mud. This seemed beyond mud, more like liquid chocolate really. And, as ever, the tator and Ron won 🏆
Nice. Pulling that dozer out of suction dirt, and we know Ron's tator is a super machine. The Tator said "This is Kitten play to get that big Cat out of a jam".
What helps you out quite a bit is your temperament, you hit it off with the customer, you listen, then you plan your strategy.
The mark of an intelligent operator. Well done Ron.
No offense, but the customer kinda reminds me of dale from King of the Hill. The accent anyways
I'm no prude, but Ron seems to manage heat, cold, rain, snow, hard work, and danger without the need for F-bombs. A real gentleman.

That Rotator never ceases to amaze me. So incredible the things those machines can do.
My father was an operating engineer. He always said a bulldozer without a winch was scrap iron. It takes steady pressure to get out of mud.
Wise words well said.
Kind of hard ripping rock with a winch, but he probably has more experience than I do... ;)
@@ke6gwf must’ve lived in the Midwest where’s there’s no rocks hardly lol

Russian trucks videos off road never get stuck used that method. Awesome
Worked for me when I was too cheap to hire a wrecker
Nice. Save you the hassle of a wrecker.

Thanks for taking me and my boyfriend on a joy ride we are seeing places where we have never seen thank you from Munford Alabama
Good work fellas! Good dozer operator there,he knew to stop and get help and not bury the dozer any deeper.
Ron you make that tator work like no one can. Always the good eye and Experiance.
Always so nice to watch a pro.
Absolutely! Amazing team.

Great job
I love the old ways of life and that gentleman was awesome. Thank you Ron.
Ron, thank you for the ride through the countryside. Missouri is a beautiful place away for the glamour of the city!
The rotator is a mean machine! And it has a very skilled operator. Stay safe Mr Pratt!
Very skilled operator indeed.

That Tator truck is awesome. Loads of pulling power.
Great work from a great operator, another happy customer, wel done Ron.

It is always amazing to watch Ron work his magic on another recovery. Thanks Ron for another video and God bless.

Ron, that rotator of yours punches above its weight. Those Cat dozers are heavy, and that one was mired deep. Well done!
I was gonna say "spoiler alert" but then again...
The operator can make a huge difference in what the equipment can accomplish.
Together, they are... The Rontator!
Well his truck is almost double the weight
OMG! The tator odd road 😮.. My heart was pounding the whole time.
I love the way you assess the problem and and put your mind to work and you always get the job done one way or the other good job Ron
I always enjoy watching the unusual things you do. It makes your channel much more interesting than just watching crashes.
Awesome job there Ron.. looked a lot easier than I know it actually was! That was a tough ol pull for the Tator! Thanks for sharing :)
Fun to watch you work with such a great attitude toward job and your customer....Blessings to you and your family. 🙏👠👠
Morning Mr Ron Pratt Sir & God Bless You & All Of You're Whole Family Today & I'll Be Praying

Your titles are always awesome! Thank you Ron!
This was so satisfying to watch! Outstanding work by the 'Tator...Tater...?! And you Ron! Lol.
Ron great video, that was buried pretty deep! Thanks for sharing . Thanks for sharing. Kevin

this was a battle of suction, gravity, weight, traction, and pulling power. anyone that says they'll never use geometry and math in a tow truck is lying, geometry and math are the two most important things in tow truck, that, and a good sense of humor!
You are a very respectful man I grew up the same way God bless
Wow!!
Very impressive Ron on a single doubled up cable!
Nice job. Whenever you get a dozer stuck you are in some seriously nasty stuff.
Got to visit Missouri recently. Nice state.

well with a dozer there are places you can go over once ok... but not twice. first pass tears it up and vibrates it too much.
The description of the fight between Tator and the Cat up above is just cooler than heck!!!
Tator and Ron are an unbeatable team. Great video as always.
I was yelling at my phone, get Talon coming with the western star on route!
Great video as always Ron

well done Ron, you get some jobs eh , sure did win the ol CAT over in all the soup too , well done ol chap ,great videos , regards to you from the UK
Impressive pull , I was amazed to see the tator leave the road nice to take mild risk
I did not think that a single snatched line would be enough to get that out that was impressive.
Agreed, that super low speed on those winches must have an insane capacity
Iknew it would doit
As always very professional an considerate oof others ! God Bless you Sir ! 👍👍
Helping out a stuck kitty Cat. God bless

TATOR is an assume vehicle, nothing will stop it from doing it's job Ron. another successful job completed. 👍👍👍👍
Gotta love that Tator. What an extraordinary machine!!!
Ron,is probably the most wholesome dude ive ever seen in this world
Enjoyed it as usual Ron. God Bless and Happy Independence Day
Good Job, Ron!! Learning a lot about physics from watching your work!!
Still can’t believe the Tator went off road! Great job as always Ron
TATER BARELY MADE IT BACK ON TO THE ROAD not a off road vehicle at all
Like driving a motor coach off road
HI, Great extraction, planned well as said, inline boom lifted, you did work well together, nice and slowly does it, shows your skill in getting out on such a steep bank. Regards welshman2081
those high track D 6 H series are famous for the rear idler digging in an getting stuck
it's cool seeing what it's like to do an off road recovery with a 72.000 LB Tator
Weird seeing Tater off road. Knew she would get herself out! Love the Tater! Great job Ron!!! As usual!!!

Another great job! It really was Eazy Peasy! Hopefully you and the family have a great and safe Fourth of July.
That was a lot easier than I thought it would be, But then again that’s always how a professional makes it look.
Your Friday videos are the hightlight to my Friday nights.
That operator had to feel really good when the dozer started to move up and out. Nice video.
Good and great job, Tator......you, too, Ron!!
This was an amazingx anfter the second you are a genius!!!!!
Idk how you lifted it out but you did and you are amazing!!!
I’m laughing more at the huffing from the trips uphill and back mostly because it recently hit me too! LoL
Getting old ain’t for wusses! Good Video!!
True professional with awesome equipment!
"Mississippi Soup" - good stuff. Thanks for an enjoyable recovery video!
