Thanks for sharing its cool to see me in your video all of us from wild bills tv rentals Thanks you for coming out you guys were awesome and your video of the dunes it so cool
Michigan has a very diversified agriculture production. We lead the nation in several categories of fruit & berry growing. The west side of the state( lake Michigan) is known as the " fruit belt". I am not surprised you found the Muskegon farmers market big, as Muskegon is right in the middle of the " fruit belt". Your views of our state so positive. Your photography is outstanding.Thank you for enjoying our beautiful state, Big, wild & free, every income, every age, every camping style..we have it all. The nation's best kept secret..Michigan!!
“I’m going to keep my expectations low just so I don’t get disappointed” What!?! It’s Michigan man! It’s awesome, beautiful and beyond amazing! The North is one of the most beautiful and scenic parts of the Country. Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan- I’d put those three states up against any other group in the Union! Hands down the best! Glad to see you guys out enjoying it!
We did Silver Lake sand dunes for a weekend before my son deployed to Afghanistan--- 2019. It made for a good weekend for him, and us as a family. ------- But, in 2021, a friend was there with his son, --- they went to top a dune- the area was well known to them, but still, the dune had shifted. They went over the hill and into oblivion. The jeep they were in landed on its roof, and he ended up breaking his neck and messing up his elbow. After many surgeries and TLC, he made a full recovery.
If you don't have your own vehicle that can be driven on the sand dunes, take a trip on the dune buggies from Mac Woods Dune Rides. It's a blast! Thrilling! Fun! I haven't been there in 20 years and want to go soon. Take note of the disappearing home on Silver Lake that the sand dune is burying.
Muskegon native here. I'm glad you enjoyed our city. It's far from what it used to be, but, we like it. Thank you for showing us in a beautiful light! Come back to West Michigan in the fall. Gorgeous!
Silver lake is one of my favorite vacation spots. Awesome sand dunes (both ORV and walking) plus awesome beaches. Glad you enjoyed it. The largest dune is called test hill, because if you can make it up it then you can make it up all of the rest. Also, during busier times the flat area just past the large dunes is lined with vehicles on two sides leaving drag strip racing which goes on all day.
It was interesting nostalgia for me to watch this. When I was a kid (60+ years ago) our family was on summer vacation north of Muskegon and we went on a "dune-buggy" ride (before the days of ATVs) up and down these huge sand dunes. It was lots of fun, but I never figured out exactly where that was. Now I know!
My favorite State Park! We used to go there yearly. Love the steps/deck area that leads down to the beach, a beautiful spot to stop and watch the sunset. Use to have an ice cream shop at the other end of the area we camped at. It’s been years since I’ve been there now that the kids are grown. People are always surprised at how ocean-like the Great Lakes are.
Oh I have to start at the end- during the drone shots all I could think of was the sand pit and dinky toys my sons had when they were small. That footage was AWESOME! As was the whole sand dunes experience. I loved the salad too by the way Liz..... yum! My kind of food. Michigan has a lot to offer. I look forward to the rest of your adventures there. 🙏 🇳🇿 🙋♀️ 🇳🇱
watching your video as I'm relaxing at home after our drive home from a weekend at silver lake! love that area, lots of memories have been made the. enjoy our great (lakes) state!!
I went to the beach in Ludington before I drove across the state to my Chiropractor in Detroit and when she lifted my legs to do what ever chiropractors do to your legs , tons of sand poured out of my shoes and on the exam table, the floor etc. Ooops
I'm glad you had a great stay in my hometown. Muskegon has her ups and downs. Imagine taking "test hill" at the dunes in a pick up truck and just bottoming our on the other side. We came down the other side so hard I hit the ceiling of the truck, hadvtons of sand fly in the window and the drivers thermos flew out the window! I wanted to do it again!
That looked crazy but fun! The aerial shot of going up the big dune was really cool. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Thanks for sharing your adventures. 💖🙏✌
Yeah Lake Michigan is certainly NOT gulf of Mexico warm, lol!! But is does have the best sand and amazing sunsets! My dad's family had a cottage on Lake Michigan when I was little very close to Silver Lake. We would stop at the Whippy Dip for the BEST Turtle Sundaes. And there is this adorable little market called Cherry Point just outside of Silver Lake that had Cherry Strudel to die for. Oh and they have the best homemade breads there too!! You are living my childhood in this video and I loved watching it!! Can't wait to see where you go next! I am guessing Traverse City and then onto Mackinaw Island! Super excited your hear and loving our Mitten!
Wow! That looks like fun! Michigan is on my bucket list (and we only live in Ohio). We really enjoy your vlog. So glad we meet you at John Schneider’s place. Might not have found your channel. Happy travels.
Aw thanks Beth! Glad to have met you there as well and happy you enjoy our channel! Hoping your having a great summer. Definitely add Michigan to your bucketlist. It's beautiful!
Wow! There is soooo much to see in Michigan, I am just blown away at it all! The more I research, the more I want to stay longer!!🥰 Thanks for sharing. October cannot get here soon enough, I'm so excited to be there!!❤
Hey guys, we love your vlogs And have been living vicariously through your adventures thru COVID like many others. We were so excited when you gave Kinging It a shout out this week. They are other favourites of ours and loved that you have found them too with the cold water dipping they do. Keep up the great adventures. We are loving the travels thru the states right now. We Live in Nova Scotia and if you haven’t been here already, would love for you to come up here one day. Safe travels. Sue & John 🥰🥰
@kinging-it is such a great channel. We found them last year and just love their humor and vlogging style. Glad you enjoy them too @suewellings Thanks for watching, we're glad you can travel with us right now! We hope to make it to Nova Scotia one day.
I'm from Michigan.. I will tell you Lake Michigan (Mich Side) Beaches are one of The Best Beaches On The World. I say Start at Holland and work your way North to Ludington.. Sleeping Bear Dunes.. Leelanau Peninsula.. Traverse Bay.. Charlevoix.. Petoskey.. Tunnel Of Trees.. Mackinaw Bridge. Stop at everything in-between. 😂👏👍

Christine said bless you! We are with you guys about the state parks. Definitely a better choice than the commercial campgrounds. Like I’ve said before.......sand, it is the gift that keeps on giving. We bet when Dennis poured all of that sand out of his shoe, there were probably a couple of grains left over from your trip to the Great Sand Dunes. P.S. Dennis, did Liz make you drive faster? 😀
This was an awesome episode Liz and Dennis. Those sand dunes looked like a blast. Karen and Greg were having a great time also, especially Karen getting into that festival music at the end of video. LoL. Alberta and Saskatchewan have some sand dunes, but nothing like those I don’t think. If you’re heading North, sure would be nice if you are able to cross over into Canada by July 21. Thanks for sharing as always. Peace and Calm. 👍🏻😎🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed this week's vlog! We would love to be able to cross into Canada but I'm not sure that's going to happen this year. Thanks for traveling with us! - Dennis
Muskegon! I was born in Muskegon and have been back there about 20 times in my life. I love Muskegon, Michigan. If you ever go back go to US31 Barbecue. If you do, understand that it is not like typical barbecue. The pork barbecue is the best! I enjoyed this video.

It's too bad you two are a month behind for security reasons. I would have recommended the State Fair Park RV Park in (West Allis) Milwaukee as a base to go see the Harley museum, tailgating a Brewers game, Milwaukee Botanical Gardens, the Lakefront and the Historic 3rd Ward. Maybe a restaurant/eating/drinking boat ride tour on the Milwaukee River. All are available on the Hank Aaron bike path of about 10 miles right off the RV park- or Wisconsin Avenue for the scooter.
@@EatSeeRV Unfortunately not . Typically Milwaukee and the midwest in May for Mother's Day and then a couple of weeks travel. Summer in Dillon, Colorado, winter in Mexico. I would also suggest a push to sell some of this stuff to the restaurants, towns and activity sites (Wild Bill 's ORV) for some profit to put it onto their websites. You guys are that good.
Thank you! We're glad you enjoy the videos. We put a lot of effort into them. Bummer we'll miss you but sounds like you're off having a great time. www.patreon.com/eatseerv
Back-in-the-day we took stripped-down to the frame V8 autos with wide low-air tires. Crazy fun! It was before they got all up in our business with safety this safety that. Hahaha Glad you enjoyed it.
Yup, I was wondering when someone would correct that. She was meaning "the farther east you go" there is less wild/free camping availability. Thanks for traveling with us! - Dennis
Michigan is amazing! I lived there for a summer doing a summer selling student job door to door - many years ago. I lived near Grand Haven (Spring Lake) area for that summer. Lived with a terrific family and I'll never forget them. I'll never forget Michigan in the summer - incredible and beautiful.
Hey guys did you happen to celebrate Canada day too on the first? Where do your friends live? I’m pretty sure I have told you before that the further north you come the more fun you have. Yea it might be cold but you always have someone to cuddle up with. Hahahahaha
O..m...g! I did this trip after watching you guys. It looked so fun! I was scared to death! But....I would do it again! We got some seriously funny footage of me freaking out. Friends have enjoyed watching my meltdown.🤣
Secret for pesky laundromat change machines...if Bill is rejected, smooth out, then fold and crease horizontally. Smooth out again and retry in machine.
People here take summers seriously. If you don't book 6 months in advance you are not getting in. Weekends at the dunes are crazy I would stear clear of them go on a weekday.
Silver Lake is not as nice as it was about 70 years ago the dunes seemed very eroded as a result of nearly everybody being able to bring motor vehicles into them, the pristine has sort of disappeared. Our priest used to bring the altar boys and the Girls Sodality there for an annual picnic.
Screw that cold water therapy stuff. Come out to the west coast of Canada and swim in our glacier fed mountain lakes. That'll put an end to the cold water nonsense in a hurry.
Thanks for sharing its cool to see me in your video all of us from wild bills tv rentals Thanks you for coming out you guys were awesome and your video of the dunes it so cool

Kind words for Muskegon. That Farmers Market has been a staple for decades. They built that area just for it.

Yeah it seemed pretty serious our there on the dunes. Still a killer time though! - Dennis
@@EatSeeRVHahaha. I was just thinking it was over 50 years ago. OMG! "Hold My Beer". It was so much crazy fun back then too.
Just an FYI. Michigan is Mid-West not East Coast! Welcome to Michigan!
Yup, I was wondering when someone would correct that.
She was meaning "the farther east you go" there is less wild/free camping availability.
Thanks for traveling with us! - Dennis
Did anyone ever say Denis looks like Adel Rose ?
Michigan is amazing! I lived there for a summer doing a summer selling student job door to door - many years ago. I lived near Grand Haven (Spring Lake) area for that summer. Lived with a terrific family and I'll never forget them. I'll never forget Michigan in the summer - incredible and beautiful.
It sure is beautiful! Thanks for sharing. - Dennis
Hey guys did you happen to celebrate Canada day too on the first? Where do your friends live? I’m pretty sure I have told you before that the further north you come the more fun you have. Yea it might be cold but you always have someone to cuddle up with. Hahahahaha
Haha they are from Toronto. Yes they did
Where is the link to the development in Merida?

O..m...g! I did this trip after watching you guys. It looked so fun! I was scared to death! But....I would do it again! We got some seriously funny footage of me freaking out. Friends have enjoyed watching my meltdown.🤣
😂 this is awesome! I would love to see that footage. It's definitely intense our friend Karen freaked out too. But so fun and we'd 100% do it again!
Liz, you should’ve taken a turn driving the SxS
Fun want to try that. I live in fl. Need make it up there.
Definitely! It's a great state.
We call it "Sugar Sand"
How were the mosquitos up there?
Not bad so far! - Dennis
Great Lakes swimming is free air conditioning
That's a great way of putting it!
Secret for pesky laundromat change machines...if Bill is rejected, smooth out, then fold and crease horizontally. Smooth out again and retry in machine.
Great tip. We will try that next time! - Dennis
People here take summers seriously. If you don't book 6 months in advance you are not getting in.
Weekends at the dunes are crazy I would stear clear of them go on a weekday.
Totally agree! Looking back the only way I would feel safe and have maximum fun at the dunes is on a weekday. - Dennis
Very few things are as nice as they were (or pristine) as they were 70 years ago.
Screw that cold water therapy stuff. Come out to the west coast of Canada and swim in our glacier fed mountain lakes. That'll put an end to the cold water nonsense in a hurry.
🤣
