It’s an absolute travesty that you were in Michigan and didn’t go to mackinaw island!! It’s the best ever!! I grew up in Michigan in Charlevoix and it makes my heart happy to see you highlighting how beautiful Michigan is 😍
Pure Michigan!!! The most beautiful spot in the lower peninsula! Lots of memories from family vacations as a child and with our children in this part of our state! Thanks for the super video!!
I'm from Illinois and have gone to Michigan every Summer for basically as long as I can remember. Its so incredibly beautiful and it so often gets overlooked. I've never seen this style of video this high quality about the area. It's so great to see it being appreciated especially with great content!
I think that part of Michigan is one of the prettiest areas in the whole country. I have to admit, after I do hikes in that area, I am always wiped and need a good soak in a hot tub! Hope you all got lots of rest in Indiana.
Love it! I couldn't get over the water color either when we visited. Absolutely loved the Dune Climb area and we didn't even go to the water. Also, Empire Bluff has such a massive bang for your buck. Our kids had a blast playing on the giant sand bowl area just past the end of the boardwalk section there. So cool. Over spring break Pierce Stocking was still closed for some reason so it was nice to see some of your footage. And we totally missed that ice cream spot so time to go back I suppose. :) Hope you had a nice relaxing time in Indiana. Cheers!
It was SO BLUE! 😍 And they would’ve loved the sand at the one overlook on the drive too! Hopefully y’all can go back to do that and get some ice cream!
There was a massive storm a while back that took down a bunch of trees on that scenic drive and I think also caused some erosion. They have been closing it for maintenance periodically since.
So glad you guys got to experience our little piece of paradise and show the world how incredibly beautiful it is! It's truly a hidden gem. I just got back from the Great Sand Dunes and they make our dunes look like bunny dunes! 😂 But I still love them and our crystal clear freshwater! Safe travels and love y'all's videos! They provide great inspiration for future adventures!
Greetings again from the Lower Peninsula, and well done! I did almost the same trail sequence back on April 3 (Dune Climb, Empire Bluff, Pyramid Point), although I also threw in Sleeping Bear Point after the Dune Climb. Beautiful video of the water, which is always what amazes people about Sleeping Bear! Regarding the popularity of Empire Point: yep, told ya! But it *is* beautiful! The loop trail at Pyramid Point includes a meadow next to some hilly and forested areas, which I loved since it gives a Michigander like me the out-west national park vibes (and when you're cooped up in a low-elevation eastern state for a while, you get desperate for that). I'm glad you mentioned the cherries (it's what TC is known for), but I want to say how much I appreciate your emphasis on hiking. Your videos have inspired me over the past year to buy an Osprey, Camelback, headlamp, hiking pants, etc., to get the AllTrails Pro app, and to go do things I've never done before. I've hiked 340 miles (~ 313 of that in Michigan), and I have all these people telling me I look great (I guess I lost some weight, even though I thought I didn't have any to lose). In the next week, I'll take my first major A+K-inspired trip; the first videos I saw from you were in South Dakota, and that's where I'm going. Now that you're out of Michigan, I'll probably chill on the comments for a while, but I just want to say that following you has been my COVID highlight, and a respite from all the challenges that go with that. It's been life-changing. Thank you!
That make us SO happy to hear! We are stoked that you're getting out there and hiking and exploring. That's our biggest goal with sharing all of these videos! We hope you have a blast in South Dakota, we LOVED it there! Thanks a bunch for following along, all of your tips, and support, it truly means so much to us ❤️
My pleasure! Cool thought I have for you: even before the two of you set foot on the Chapel-Mosquito Loop, Pyramid Point, the Dune Climb, or Tahquamenon Falls, you inspired me (and I'm sure others) to hike these trails. You've probably already inspired people to hike on the East Coast, New England, or wherever else your travels take you!
We sure hope so! Our goal has always been to encourage others to get out and explore, even if it's just in their backyard! There's a LOT of beauty to see all over the US!
So glad you enjoyed Michigan! You hit the best spots and did a fine job representing the beauty of our state. We live 2 miles from gorgeous Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear is a quick trip for us. We take our kids there to run up and down the dunes at the dune climb. It is a great cardio workout for the parents. It's an absolute must see if you come to Northern Michigan. Enjoy your time in Indiana!
Fantastic video as always. I can’t believe you didn’t do the big 450-foot dune climb at Overlook No. 9 on Pierce Stocking Drive. I say that in jest. I know I would totally do that but would be questioning my existence the whole way up. It is insane how steep the bluffs are along the lakeshore. Sleeping Bear Dunes, well the whole area around Traverse City, is so awesome. My best way to describe it is that it is just pure summer. I haven’t been there in eons. I need to change that. We have so much family in Michigan too but on the opposite side of the state.
You hit some more of our family's favorite places - Slabtown Burgers and Moomers Ice Cream! We camp at Platte River campground every summer and love the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. When my son was younger (around age 10) he thought it would be cool to run down that dune at Pierce Stocking Drive. My husband had to go down and help him back up. So, I have a nice picture of that rescue sign to remind my son of his fun adventure. Thanks for showing off my home state. My hubby and I are heading back to the Keweenaw in a few weeks for a short camping trip. I can't wait to see the color!
Once again, beautiful hikes! We want to explore more of Michigan. We came down the west coast (can you call it a coast?), anyway, down to Luddington and took the steamship SS Badger over to Manitowoc. A 4 hour cruise! It was cool. Hope your time with family was restful and fun. Can't wait to see what's next!
I live in Traverse City ! I'm so glad u guys got to experience and enjoy our beautiful city ..I love how u captured the beautiful sleeping bear dunes ..both hikes u did are the best and I do them often as I can ...I can live here and still feel like a tourist exploring the beautiful trails. U will definitely need to make a whole Michigan trip again because we have so much to see here
Wife and I are planning to go here end of June. Thanks for all your vids as you’ve really opened our eyes to all parts of the states. Thanks to your STL video, wife and I went to STL a couple months ago via Metra. Keep up the great work!
Pure Michigan!!🤩 YAY!!!🥳 I lived in Northern Michigan for about 14 years (most of my life) and I just loved seeing familiar places!!🥰 y’all literally chose THE BEST place to visit!!😎
The milky color (3:30)is due to calcium carbonate (CC) that crystallizes in late summer when the water temperature rises. The process is the same as the hard water deposits that form around hot water plumbing fixtures. The CC originates from the limestone bedrock. The effect causes "whitings", large sections of the lake usually on the east side of the lake when prevailing summer winds drive the warm surface water to the east. These "whitings" can be seen from satellites. The "whitings" don't appear in Lakes Superior and Huron due to their predominately granite and volcanic bedrock.
Your videos have taught me so much about the Great Lakes !! I didn't realize the water was so blue 🤩💙 I loved this video's different hikes. That sand looked painful 🥺 I always enjoy seeing what you guys are going to eat . 😉😋
We absolutely love Northern Michigan. We’ve been to Moomers. So good. Do wish you would’ve shown more of the area!! The views from all of the different peninsula’s are amazing and the most beautiful sunset EVER is in Charlevoix!!!! Petosky is such a gorgeous area and if you ever go back you should go during Cherry season. The orchards are something special to see.
I used to live in the Grand Rapids area, grew up in Ada and later moved to Grandville and Hudsonville. Some great places/events to visit in West Michigan, if you're ever up that way again, are Shrine of the Pines in the old growth pine forest in Baldwin, Frederik Meijer Gardens and then Art Prize, which is held in Downtown Grand Rapids close to Labor Day. Shrine of the Pines is the home of a carpenter who handmade every piece of furniture in the home with the pines around the area, it has very unique and very beautiful pieces. Frederik Meijer Gardens is a botaincal garden and statuary in Grand Rapids, named for the same person the supermarket Meijer is named after, and they have dozens of great statues and a butterfly garden. As for Art Prize... They essentially turn the entire downtown Grand Rapids area into one giant art exhibit for a couple weeks and have a voting system for which piece the public liked most. When I went I saw a full size, 2.5 story airship on the side of a building; a dragon made of scrap metal; Nessie in the Grand River; a glass walled refrigerated truck trailer with a full diorama carved out of colored ice; a harp made out of beams of light that you could play music with and so much more.
I was so happy to watch this one. I left my heart in sleeping bear so I got a little emotional watching. I’m looking forward to seeing some fall colors in your upcoming videos! Safe travels!!
So glad you enjoyed it Kyle! ❤️ And cross your fingers we time our adventures with the fall colors! We are starting to see some colors pop where we are and it’s making us giddy!
Wow, I mean... I love hiking, but I just don't know if I could do the sleeping bear dunes with that much sand! Especially right at the end of the trail there. The water colour was stunning as you say. Reminds me a bit of Scarborough Bluffs on the outskirts of Toronto I love how you came out of the ice cream place being all like 'I didn't know what to get' meanwhile you have the BIGGEST tub of ice cream Go big or go home!!! I'm noticing some of the bloopers making it into the actual videos, like Adam's pronunciation of jalapenos... I very much give this my stamp of approval 👍
It was TOUGH haha! We have never heard of Scarborough Bluffs, but HOLY COW that looks amazing! We cannot wait to go to Canada again and we will be putting that on the list. Hahahah the ice cream situation was so chaotic. Too many flavors to choose from and no idea what the sizes were, but it worked out 😂 Glad you enjoyed the bloopers in the video! We are trying to include mess ups more in videos, as we rarely ever get things smooth the first try haha
Oh man… we went a couple times when my kids were small and my youngest fell asleep immediately on getting back in the car…. Great place and travers city is a go to place for people from northern Ontario!
I'm heading to Sleeping Bear Dunes in a few weeks for a weekend trip. Glad to see you two do the dune climb as the views are wonderful. Hope you were able to get some deserved rest, and I'll be looking forward to your upcoming travels.
Hello Adventurers😊😊😊, ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! I We have hiked a few of those HUGE dunes and I had to keep up with my son lol😊😊😊😊. Those burgers look really good too. I knew you both would conquer the DUNE CLIMB too! That's a beautiful area with lots of Lighthouses...i mean MANY Lighthouses. We really enjoyed this video bringing us back to our time there👍👍👍👍👍👍👍. Can't wait to see what's next as you continue east.
Those dunes are so much harder than they look! We love lighthouses! We definitely need to check out some next time. Can’t wait to share what we have been up to. It has been a fun couple weeks back on the road!
Wowza…the water color and those steeeep dunes! Growing up near Lake Michigan in NW Indiana never looked that blue. Quite a nice leg and booty workout! You two definitely deserved the yummy burgers and oh so creamy ice cream! I loved how you were trying to rhyme words about your burgers…cute and funny! I also loved seeing my Konie Bear!
How awesome! I lived in Grayling, MI (an hour east of Traverse City) for 17 years, before I began my full-time journey three years ago. You drove by where our sixth grade classes went to camp at the end of the school year, when you visited Pyramid Point. Glad you didn’t go down the dunes there! Pierce Stocking is beautiful in the winter as well. It is open with cross country ski trails through that area. The bike trails are pretty cool as well. Slabtown Burgers and Moomers, excellent choices. Awesome work as usual. It is so much fun following you three, especially when you have traveled through my home state of Michigan! Safe travels to you!
@@AdventuresofAplusK That's great! You guys would love Leland / Fish Town. Make sure you hit up Spanglish and Cherry Republic next time. If you want to continue to develop your palate for fish try the Fish and Chips at Skalawags. The Perch and Whitefish are both great (I'm a perch guy myself). They are trucked in from the piers right off the boats in Charlevoix each day, so very fresh and very mild (much better than the pasties! LOL!). And don't miss Cherry Republic either. The chocolate covered cherries are so good (and you can have samples!). Get some of the cherry salsa, mix about a cup with a can of drained black beans and heat through, top with goat cheese (or another cheese you like) and garnish with cilantro. Excellent and easy camping food! The trail mix is excellent too!
We almost went to fish town! But then were craving burgers. Cherry Republic came highly recommended from a friend as well, so we will definitely check it out next time! That recipe sounds super tasty too!
Thanks for showing off Michigan so well! You found a lot of my favorites. I hope you can come back to see even more in the future. I also hope you both enjoyed your break. I’m looking forward to seeing where you’re headed next. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
I lived in Grand Rapids, MI for 6 yrs and it was always a joy to explore Northwest MI….I recognized all the places you visited (except Slab Burger)…really enjoyed your journey around the Great Lakes.
So glad to see you made it to my favorite camping and hiking destination in MI's lower peninsula. Your video does a great job of showcasing the best parts. It may have been too late in the season to take the ferry to North or South Manitou Island for the day, but those are very beautiful parts of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore, as well.
We would love to take the ferry! Boat rides while in the Great Lakes were too logistically challenging this time with the van and Kona, but hoping to go back sometime and visit some islands!
You guys have been to so many places, and are so young. I think that's fantastic! Keep on exploring and learning and being inspired. We are going to drive down the coast of Oregon in November and I cannot wait. Get to fly my drone all up and down that place! I got my Columbia Voodoo Falls 590 TurboDown Jacket too, so I'm READY!!
It’s pretty wild how much we have seen since March. We are beyond grateful! And we hope you have the best time, we LOVE Oregon and are anxiously awaiting returning ❤️❤️
I’m seeing so many wonderful places thanks to you guys. Thank you! My list of places to go just gets longer and longer. I hiked the sand dunes at Sand Dunes National Park in southeast Colorado recently. That sand does indeed get hot!
We are so happy to add to your list! Although, we apologize that it's getting longer...we know how that is! Sand Dunes National Park is insane and so steep!
Lake Michigan is very cold compared to most lakes. When the water is calm the water is perfectly clear. The best time to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park is August. The water in Lake is the warmest then.
I’m back and it’s Thursday so that means Adam and Katherine are back! What a fun, beautiful, amazing vlog this was! I was smiling the entire time watching! I died laughing at the end…”If the grease ain’t drippin’ I ain’t eatin’! 😂 😂 😂 You guys are so much fun!!!
Great video again. I'm glad to hear you're taking a short break. I kow that you guys have made career changes going from one rat race to another, the filming, researching, writing, editing, picking out music, shooting b-rolls and all to maintain a vlog can be time consuming and wear on you. Enjoy the time with family and safe travels wherever you go next.
One rat race to another is a great way to put it! It’s a lot of work to make these videos, but we are thankful that we truly love it! Makes this rat race a LOT better than the last one haha, but it still is mentally and physically exhausting! Excited to finish this year strong 💪🏼 Lots of fun stuff to share starting next week!
I've never been to that area of Michigan, but it sure looks beautiful. Also, dang that burger looked like perfection. I'm not sure where in the East your fall travels take you, but if you hug the Ontario lakeshore in New York you will come across a variety of apple called Empire, which are simply outstanding apples.
I almost cried when I saw you guys running down that dune, knowing you'd have to run back up to get your camera! Amazing place. We're hoping to get over that way this year and will no doubt follow in some of your footsteps. (The easier hikes at least).
Had some problems on my end so i'm playing catch up. Unfortunately, since i know i'll get hungry watching y'all i can only watch one a day. Then after eating this ole bear has to take a nap. Great video. Beautiful place. Went there as a kid.
another great video! we found you guys when we were searching for ideas in Utah and your videos absolutely inspired our family's adventures there recently - thank you for all of the ideas and tips - you guys are awesome :-) I'm from NW Indiana myself (a little town called Rensselaer) so I was curious to hear you guys are stopping around there - and excited to see where you will be adventuring in the fall. Looking forward to it all :-) happy and safe travels to you
We are so glad that y’all were able to go to Utah! And my family is just a bit north of you. We have yet to really explore Indiana outside of where they live, but hope to see more sometime!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Yes Utah is so stunning! We need another 2 months + there to do more of it - we're going back asap, with many more of your hikes on our list. Indiana is nothing near as exciting as where you guys have been in recent months -- hahaha but it's definitely the most beautiful in October, that is for sure! Turkey Run, McCormick Creek St. Park, Brown County, the Covered Bridges....all very pretty areas when the leaves are changing and the temps are perfect.
This is one of our favorite areas in the lower peninsula. We love it there and visit at least once or twice a year. So glad you were able to spend some time there! And I'm honestly glad you guys are getting a little break as well. You've been pumping out the videos, lately, and I know that takes a toll. Have you been able to quit your other jobs at this point or are you still juggling jobs and travel blogging?
I was thankfully able to quit my corporate job back in June! We thought that would give us more balance, but we decided to travel a lot faster and overcommit ourselves instead. But we are trying to be kind to ourselves as we still adjust to self employment and have been cutting videos and adventures as needed to make sure we stay sane haha.
@@AdventuresofAplusK Congratulations on being able to let go of one of the jobs. But yeah, I'm glad you're realizing you still can't burn the candle from both ends. We want you to be around for a long time to come!!! We're always our own hardest bosses, aren't we?!? LOL
Followed you coming out of Grand Staircase NM and ate at the Bird House in Page. Now at Sleeping Bear Dunes hiking and went to Moomers! We will definitely follow your recommendations at Picture Rocks. Unfortunately, Slab Master was closed.
I'm glad you went to moomers i would of been sad if you didn't. As a Michigan native I will tell you just a very small list of things you missed to visit the next time you're here Bond falls, Hungarian falls, eagle harbor, black rocks, miners falls, munising falls, log slide overlook, whitefish point, cut river bridge, Mackinac island, silver lake state park... Yup just a small list Lol
Moomers was excellent! Yes we would’ve loved to see more, but had to keep moving. All the more reason to come back! Thanks for the tips and for watching!
Love that you've been able to see both long sides of Lake Michigan - and man oh man! Can tell you both were excited about the burgers. Looked SO stinkin' good. It isn't an A+K video without ice cream!! Hope you enjoyed family time in Indiana. Can't wait for your East Coast videos!
Sleeping bear dunes looks so amazing. Definitely planned to go up there someday and Visit it as well as some of the other parks Is up there. Thanks for your videos and stay safe.
Nothing like a good sand pedicure. You're probably too young to fully appreciate that. Take care of your feet! Great Vlog! I'm anxiously waiting for Maples! Drive safe.
If you ever find yourselves exploring in Michigan again, check out Turnip Rock near Port Austin! It's absolutely beautiful and very fun to kayak. Plus the best ice cream place with HUGE scoops is nearby at the Grindstone General Store. Love your videos!
Beautiful! We were just in northern MI a couple of weeks ago visiting family, but didn't make it to Sleeping Bear this trip. So fun to watch your adventures. We just watched your SB broadcast; and watching Telluride now. Def need to go on those CO hikes next time we're out there! Question: What is Kona (other than adorable?) We have a Golden and Border Collie so we understand needing to needing to juggle dog friendly trails vs. when to leave them in the trailer. thank you for sharing your joy in life and adventures! (Oh, and food!) :)
Thanks so much for following along! She is a pit, jack Russell, dachshund (we think). A unique mix, with lots of behavior issues, but she is too darn cute and we adore her!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I was guessing the pit/terrier, but not the doxie part. Our BC was attacked by fighting dogs before we got him, and is extremely reactive - our trainer calls him 'socially challenged', which I think is code for neurotic, but he is adorable so that gives him lots of bonus points. :) Travel safely, and keep the sense of humor on long trips. God bless.
Kona is super reactive as well, it's not fun and pretty stressful at times, even after extensive training (which has helped, but they basically told us it's in her DNA). We love her anyways!
Im from Australia but I like to research travelling in America. It doesn't help I'm 15. I didn't know michigan got so hot! Also wondering how the water was when you first when to the lake in the video? I'd imagine it to be freezing.
It is pretty humid in the summer! At least when we were there. With the humidity it felt like 100 degrees Fahrenheit 🥵 The water wasn’t too bad! It’s definitely cold, but feels pretty nice on a warmer day!
Always love your content but especially these Michigan videos.. going to be staying in this area in a couple weeks for my dad's birthday. Cant wait :) You should visit the thumb sometime!
Hey guys, been watching back episodes and I have a quick question for you. I saw your map of the National Parks with the list below that you use to mark off where you have been. Could you tell me where you got it? It is the perfect size for us to add to our little truck camper when we get it in December and I would like to keep track in a similar fashion… TYIA…cj
I bet your feet are soft as a baby's butt after hiking on all that sand! :) I knew the great lakes were big, but I really had no idea! Gorgeous views! Thanks for another amazing adventure!

We always kept calling it coastline haha, it’s hard not to when it feels like the ocean! A steamship sounds super fun!
U will definitely need to make a whole Michigan trip again because we have so much to see here
We will definitely be back! Lots more to see! But maybe not in the summer haha too hot for the van!
@@AdventuresofAplusK come in the fall ..see the trees change colors! I love this time of the year ..and the crowds are much better.
Wife and I are planning to go here end of June. Thanks for all your vids as you’ve really opened our eyes to all parts of the states. Thanks to your STL video, wife and I went to STL a couple months ago via Metra. Keep up the great work!
That's awesome to hear! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Pure Michigan!!🤩 YAY!!!🥳 I lived in Northern Michigan for about 14 years (most of my life) and I just loved seeing familiar places!!🥰 y’all literally chose THE BEST place to visit!!😎
We had such a great time! It’s beautiful there 😍
Thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos. They are always fun and informative, and I always look forward to the next one!.
Thanks so much Chris! Been working really hard on these, so we super appreciate it!
Thank you for sharing this! That’s super fascinating!
Cool I guess I'm not too old to learn something new thanks
Your videos have taught me so much about the Great Lakes !! I didn't realize the water was so blue 🤩💙 I loved this video's different hikes. That sand looked painful 🥺 I always enjoy seeing what you guys are going to eat . 😉😋
We had no idea either! We are so glad you enjoyed seeing some of the Great Lakes and the food! 😉
Your latest videos have really sold us on Michigan as a future summer trip! Thanks for sharing!!
Woo! So stoked to hear that! It’s a great summer spot!
Very cool! Thanks and thanks for sharing!
Hi lovely couple! I'm so happy to see you, and see you happy having fun and enjoying life🐮 God be always with you and protect you wherever you go🙏
Thank you Dora!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Where are you headed next? Northeast?
Yup! Headed to New England for the fall
Those dunes will tucker out kids and adults alike!
I'm heading to Sleeping Bear Dunes in a few weeks for a weekend trip. Glad to see you two do the dune climb as the views are wonderful. Hope you were able to get some deserved rest, and I'll be looking forward to your upcoming travels.
Have a great time at the dunes Eric!
We don't remember the parts of Lake Michigan we had seen before looking that blue either! And we are happy Kona could join us for some of it!
Thank you for visiting Slabtown Burgers! I’m so happy to see you enjoyed your burgers!! Hangry to happy sounds like a success to me! 🍔🤗♥️
We loved them! ❤️❤️❤️ still dream about them being stuffed haha
The dunes at pyramid point looked brutal! Some kids went down it, but that got a “no way” from us haha. Thanks so much for following along!
Loved this vlog! Traverse City is our go to vacation spot. So glad you enjoyed your time there!
Such an awesome area! We will definitely be back in the future to visit more of the small towns too!
Always love the bloops! 🤣 Another fabulous video! Enjoy your time “off”. ~Cara 😊
Thank you Cara!
Thanks for showing off Michigan so well! You found a lot of my favorites. I hope you can come back to see even more in the future.
I also hope you both enjoyed your break. I’m looking forward to seeing where you’re headed next. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
We definitely will be back! In the fall though when it isn't so warm haha. Looking forward to sharing what we have been up to the last couple weeks 😃
That brought back some good memories.
We’re so glad!
Great adventure. I didn't realize that Lake Michigan was so many different shades of color. Travel Safe.
The colors were a big surprise for us!
Simply gorgeous!
Deep-sand hiking.....oh I know that feeling and it can be brutal ! Good thing you did it early 😃
Such a killer workout!
I lived in Grand Rapids, MI for 6 yrs and it was always a joy to explore Northwest MI….I recognized all the places you visited (except Slab Burger)…really enjoyed your journey around the Great Lakes.
We’re so glad you enjoyed the Great Lakes videos! We loved visiting the area!
I grew up on an inland lake not far from there. Always loved running down the dunes. Thanks for another great video!
Running down the dunes is so much fun!
Hi Guys, Looks nice there. Thanks for sharing
It’s so pretty there!
You are wonderful guys🐝
❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for the support!
Lake Michigan is very cold compared to most lakes. When the water is calm the water is perfectly clear. The best time to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park is August. The water in Lake is the warmest then.
We had a blast out there! The lake was beautiful!
Was waiting for your next video . We have been to Cana island.. Thanks for the video. 🙂
Cana island is awesome!
We love the dunes! Such a neat landscape to explore, and the freshwater is so nice compared to saltwater sometimes! Moomers looked great too! 🍨 🐮
We really loved the Great Lakes for that reason! No salt or sharks!
Hahahahaha that was my delirious hanger talking 😂😂😂
What a wonderful video! You guys are so great at this!❤❤❤
Thank you so much! And thanks for watching!
Yikes, sand climbing hard on knees too! Great job
Thank you! It was tough!
Ooo good to know! And the burger was SO delicious!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Also, the proper size of ice cream is "Large"
I am embarrassed to admit I couldn't finish mine and Adam had to help. It was a LARGE large haha
I almost cried when I saw you guys running down that dune, knowing you'd have to run back up to get your camera! Amazing place. We're hoping to get over that way this year and will no doubt follow in some of your footsteps. (The easier hikes at least).
Hahahah this job is more exhausting than it looks chasing the camera 😂
Had some problems on my end so i'm playing catch up. Unfortunately, since i know i'll get hungry watching y'all i can only watch one a day. Then after eating this ole bear has to take a nap. Great video. Beautiful place. Went there as a kid.
Very jealous of the nap!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Your still young. Enjoy every waking moment. When you get old you tend to hibernate more.
Great video guys. My daughter is going to school at Michigan St ( we’re from San Diego). When I visit her will definitely check out Lake Michigan.
That is awesome! We hope she enjoys it up there! She will still get a dose of blue water and nice sand, even far from home 😃
another great video! we found you guys when we were searching for ideas in Utah and your videos absolutely inspired our family's adventures there recently - thank you for all of the ideas and tips - you guys are awesome :-) I'm from NW Indiana myself (a little town called Rensselaer) so I was curious to hear you guys are stopping around there - and excited to see where you will be adventuring in the fall.
Ah nice!!! Have a great time at pictured rocks! Hopefully they were just closed for the day, not forever 🤞🏼
So nice to see you guys in my home state. You did it right going to Moomers!
It was so delicious!
It definitely isn't a video without ice cream! 😜 Can't wait to share what we have been up to soon!
The sand looked so pretty but so difficult to climb!!!
It's such a killer workout!
Sleeping bear dunes looks so amazing. Definitely planned to go up there someday and Visit it as well as some of the other parks Is up there. Thanks for your videos and stay safe.
There's a ton to see in that area!
Way to make the hike up “sand mountain” as we call sand dunes in my family. I hope you were both able to get some rest!
It’s a tough climb! And it was a very productive and also sort of relaxing time 😃
Nothing like a good sand pedicure. You're probably too young to fully appreciate that. Take care of your feet! Great Vlog! I'm anxiously waiting for Maples! Drive safe.
We should have some fall colors in our videos soon! 🙌🏼
Nothing like northern MI and the U.P. Truly the hidden gem of the US
👍❤Outstanding!
❤️
If you ever find yourselves exploring in Michigan again, check out Turnip Rock near Port Austin! It's absolutely beautiful and very fun to kayak. Plus the best ice cream place with HUGE scoops is nearby at the Grindstone General Store. Love your videos!
That sounds like our kind of ice cream spot! Thanks for the tips. We’ll add those to our list for our next visit!
We definitely will be back to explore more! We had planned to do more, but needed a break unfortunately.
This is the centerpiece of our next trip. Been wanting to visit here forever. The dog rules are so confusing.
The dog rules are confusing! But yes that place was amazing!
The quality of video pretty clear, Can you let me know what kind of device you use

If it ain't greasy, it ain't going down easy!
Y'all took the easy path back 😂
I was hoping you would go there. We just stood at the top watching people struggle lol
Hahahah that sounds very entertaining 😂😂
Hey guys, been watching back episodes and I have a quick question for you. I saw your map of the National Parks with the list below that you use to mark off where you have been. Could you tell me where you got it? It is the perfect size for us to add to our little truck camper when we get it in December and I would like to keep track in a similar fashion… TYIA…cj
Hi CJ! We got it off Etsy! www.etsy.com/listing/601895364/national-parks-map-of-the-united-states
Thank you! Can’t wait to start checking them off!
Nice video! What time of year did you go? Me and the family are going to empire this summer.
We were there in September 2021. We hope y’all have a great time! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Love your videos! How many national parks have u been to?
We just hit 40! The 40th will be our next video 🙌🏼
We were just there also. Such a beautiful area. Still haven't put together our footage for a video yet. Be sure to check it out soon!
It's so beautiful! Glad you enjoyed the area too!
How was the water temperature? What time of year did you go? Heading there in August
It was cold! We were there in September ‘21
I bet your feet are soft as a baby's butt after hiking on all that sand! :) I knew the great lakes were big, but I really had no idea! Gorgeous views! Thanks for another amazing adventure!
Hahahaha 😂😂😂
We travel to RV parks in our motorhome. Internet is always terrible. How do you solve this issue? Thanks for any help.
