    This was a great tour.
I am a native, 55 years old. I've been housebound for the last 5 years. Except for hospital, doctors and my sister's funeral. And 95% housebound since 2004.
Our town has changed so much through my life. that these places are all new to me. Or at least their current function is new to me. Some of the places you've been are in the older buildings, but new purpose. Thank you very much, for sharing your adventure with us.
May God continue to bless you and your's.

Yes, TC has changed 100%. I stay away from down town and look for places to go tourists do not know about. I am also a native. It makes me sad to see how down town has been ruined.

I live down state and have been coming to the t.c./ sleeping bear area for 40 years. I was just there last week and it is sad to see what it has become. The crowds are growing every year along with the wineries, breweries, distilleries, casinos. Just wanted to walk along the beach and put my toes in lake Michigan but we couldn't even get close enough to the lakeshore to see it. Even the hidden areas we used to go to have been discovered by the masses. It will never again be what it used to be. ☹

@@judykuzmitz4566 We live in the suburbs of Detroit and our son's in laws bought a beautiful home with glorious views of Lake Michigan in Charlevoix. They've invited us up for a week. We're thinking we'll go maybe just after labor day when the kids go back to school so we don't have to fight for a place on the beach. It is too bad what's happened to Traverse City. My cousins live there and even they are pretty done with it now. 🥴

First trip to Traverse City was the Summer I turned 7 years old... My mom took more photos than usual and it helped to capture exactly how Beautiful it is as well as the ERA... early 60's. Have had the privilege of calling Michigan home my entire life (35 years). We have always spent time on the water, going "up north", and exploring the U.P. As a kid I always had a great time and thought the things were really cool. But with kids of my own now and taking them on the same trips and exploring new ones I have really come to appreciate and understand how unique and amazing this state is and what it has to offer. Seeing it from someone's point of view that isn't from here makes its even that much more meaningful. Thanks for the reviews and also showing some new places in T.C. that we will be checking out when we head there for our fall trip.

Just found this for the first time… being someone born and raised in traverse, but joined the military in 2010, and have t lived back there since it’s really enjoyable to see the changes in here to there. I only travel back to see family and my life long friends and to ah g out and go hunting…. And that’s always later on in the seasons when it’s cold… but it’s really neat to learn things and get the sample you offer here in the content.
My favorite places to go when I’m home… the biggest one is Peegeos. It’s off the beaten path, and in the summer and normal months it’s kind of a normal bar… but they have great food. They kind of follow the realm of nascar as they’re more geared that way. And winter it’s filled with people on snowmobiles, they even rent them. Pretty cool, but can get cold. Lol
And there’s of corse stuff down town but that’s getting into the thick of a lot and off topic. Just wanted to thank y’all for representing traverse how you did and seeing it from your point of view… if y’all ever go back and want some recommendations…. There’s some wineries for sure y’all should check out… that aren’t always on the quick tour destination. There’s tons up there!

@@EatSeeRV Fair warning, the water in Lake Superior is COLD! One of my cousins lives in the UP, they love it there. Try the Soo Locks tour, it's very interesting. You can get some nice souvenirs in the UP. I have a collection of little black bears, I get one every time we go up north, they're easy to spot, each bear has a chain collar and a red leash. I swear they're filled with sawdust. They're not much bigger than your hand but they're cute and don't take up much room in a motor home. Be sure to buy some fudge too.

Traverse City is a great place. My friend who used to work with my mom her dad before he died lived up there and owned a bed and breakfast up there. The guy who used to own Little Ceasar’s Pizza he used go stay there for at least 2 weeks at a time. Then our old family friend who lived in Harbor Springs they owned a fish market and used to drive the fish up there. We used to go swimming at the beach near their house. The beach was Lake Michigan. Thus video was great. Great wineries. I told Michigan had a lot of them. The food looked good. The weather looked good for you too! Good you sold a property. Can’t wait to see the next video. They offer tastings and 2 bottles of wine month as a part of the membership. We experienced the Germany wine during our first tasting. We knew absolutely nothing about wine before signing up we just knew we were getting into the RV life soon and thought it would be cool to pick up bottles of wine around the country while traveling. For those of you who "love" Traverse City..... I also live in TC and I hate to rain on parade, but this city used to be clean, water pure, roads in good shape. That is not the case in present day! All road work done and in summer here, not enough East West roads, beaches closed due to E Coli, way too many breweries, high rise going up, if you would have been here in 70's, when this town was CLEAN, you would not praise it's current condition. The city planners just care about business and money and in my opinion, are turning TC into a small version of Dettoit. As far as advertising the best beaches in State...Muskegon beaches are much better! Why dont the city planners put in more roads or make a midnight shift, this summer has been a nightmare of traffic!!!
