Your product is so young. Any paint will stick initially, but what about wind and rain and UV weathering? How long will paint adhere, and on unpainted bricks, what is the weathering resistance of the recycled plastic? I love the design of the bricks, and I think they'd be great for construction in earthquake zones, but we need to know more about their longterm chemical stability.
We are currently selling products through direct sales while working to establish a robust sales and distribution network, but we will keep you posted once we have any US distributors.

A LOT more than traditional materials 💪 take a look at this video from a couple years ago when we did some ballistics testing: ua-cam.com/video/ggiT11Uhm4U/v-deo.htmlsi=3zC2IX0ikfSfVdO8 We will doing this again very soon as our material has improved!
Hi Andrew! Thanks for your comment :) Our products are not intended for high-temperature applications, such as fire pits. However, our material is flame-resistant. We are working with independent certified labs and universities to test our products and will continue to publish data as more is confirmed.
Everyone thinking of using it for Homes, and it could work for that, but I see it as a Great Product for Retaining Wall Construction, for Mountain Highway Slopes, Beachfront Storm Wall Protection, etc!
The Brick&Panel™ system is for full-wall structures. It is still in development and undergoing ASTM testing for CSA and ICC certifications. PLAEX products for use in residential and commercial dwellings are anticipated for Q4 2024 - Q1 2025.
We use all food-grade polymers which are generally considered very stable. It's the same polymers people were wearing on their faces to filter out COVID-19.
Great concept, but I hope this Canadian company can get beyond the protype brick stage, (over the past few years). Sadly eating up much working captial $$...prior to a viable & economical rapid production (that will eat more funds, and complicate greater Risk). // Not saying this to try and be rude, as I only hope for much success going foreward. The building test products are truly unique, in features.

Why aren't they flat on the outside like regular blocks with different types of blocks for making connections (regular ones still have the connections on the 2 long ends) and flat parts for doors and windows?
Because we have a fully interlocking building system. Comprising of a load-bearing core block and a FULLY interlocking panel system. For more information, click here: plaex.ca/brickandpanel
We're currently undergoing independent lab testing. We have made a lot of progress so far and we are looking forward to sharing the results as soon as they are verified by third-party lab tests. We have achieved this without the use of some of the traditional flame retardants. They are Fire Resistant, they inhibit the flammability of the material, limit flame spread, and limit smoke.
Our composite (PLAEX-crete™ ) is created with specialty select polymer sources that are known to be generally safer. During development we have consulted with many experts in fire suppression and we have worked with the novel chemistry of our products to reduce flammability and spread as much as possible. We have made a lot of progress so far and we are looking forward to sharing the results as soon as they are verified by third party lab tests. We have achieved this without the use of some of the traditional flame retardants, which are beginning to be banned around the world. They are Fire Resistant, they inhibit flammability of the material, limit flame spread and limit smoke. As they do contain a significant amount of polymer they are not intend for use near open flame, they are NOT TO BE USED FOR FIRE PITS!!! Also, by laminating fireproof materials into the panels of our brick and panel system, our full system will achieve extremely high fire resistance. PLAEX™ products will undergo extensive fire testing in the coming months and we are looking forward to sharing the results.
We haven't has bullet test yet. Once we've done it, we'll we post this information on our social media platform. If you're interested in what kind of tests we've done, please check our technical booklet at plaex.ca/catalogues
The R-value is 0.2 for every inch of PLAEX-crete™ . Further insulation can be integrated as a laminate part of the exterior panel system to meet any environmental requirements.
Interesting design... looks good. Off hand it kinda threw me for a loop, I thought there was a new local manufacturer of RBMK1000 moderator blocks... No, it's just for regular construction..
Our products are made by a mix of difficult-to-recycle materials, including agricultural, marine, and industrial plastic waste and aggregate waste from the construction industry.
PLAEX Brick&Panel™ can integrate well with existing structures and traditional finishing methods like drywall and siding. They are based off a 16” center and a standard 2X4 slots into the dovetail interlocks on the sides of the blocks allowing for seamless integrations and easy door/window installs. They also hold screws exceptionally well, far beyond wood or concrete, and without cracking or chipping. D channel blocks and laterally cored blocks will also be available for easy electrical and plumbing integration or rebar and concrete reinforcement, depending on the application. PLAEX Brick&Panel™ can be used in almost any low rise wall application. Trusess can be easily mounted using our unique yet familiar sill plate template technique. Our innovative interlocking panels eliminate the need for siding (Though you can still use it, and our 1” dovetails can act as an effective rainscreen) PLAEX panels integrate technology and provide a siding-like appearance for the bricks. As we scale our product offerings we will offer more panel options such as additional insulation, integrated solar and electrical features, and the exciting potential for collaborative customization of finishes.
The cost of our bricks can vary based on the project scope, location, and other specific requirements. For your reference, our bricks are priced at $18.48 CAD per unit; our LinX Z bricks are priced at $14.19 CAD per unit.

0:39 that looks so unprofessional sadly. 19 metric tons ? this thing already started deforming way earlier than that. If your product can actually withhold a lot of compression force, it should be done in a lab setting with graphs and other data from RC, steel and other similar materials for buildings to provide us the truth instead of this disappointing commericial ... misleading piece of ___.
