A triumphant return to music, by pop's royalty, reclaiming their throne. This was a huge event in the music industry. Abba always did everything on their terms, never gave in to pressure. When they sing the lyrics in this song, "Humble and grateful, to have survived", I think they genuinely mean that and never took their success (or return) for granted. The best pop group ever ❤
I'm so happy that you love this song as we other fans do. For we oldsters, ABBA represents an innocent time in our lives before the world went to hell. If you read other comments, you'll see lots of people talking about crying their eyes out.
It took many listens before I could listen to this song without getting overly teary eyed. It still gets to me, it's such a emotional song. What got to me the most is when Frida sings the last time I still have faith in you with her higher voice. Still gets me teary eyed.
I was 13 when I sat right in front of Frida, in the front row of an ABBA concert in Australia in 1977. She was electric. I was transfixed. She’s been my spirit animal ever since! Their return in 2021 was so triumphant, so emotional, so joyous- and so musical!! I’m so deeply happy that you love ABBA too. ❤
I had been waiting 40 years for this. And I immediately teared up hearing the first time. Millions of us Abba fans had been waiting for decades, and now- we are waiting again, a next Album...
Thanks for doing this reaction. Benny and Bjorn still know how to write a song and Frida and Agnetha can still sing! Seems like the couples have patched up old wounds . Pictures of them doing this album and the Makiing of the voyage concert show them smiling and happy. Frida especially was happy to be back in the studio.and yes they do have it in them still!
Dude, your ABBA journey has been how long? Not even a year? And yet you still get emotional hearing this comeback song. Imagine how we felt after 40 years! I was 😭😭😭😭😭😭on my sofa when this first aired on UA-cam and it still brings a tear to my eye! Now, put on some Voulez Vous and get 🕺🏽🕺🏽🪩
A great, emotional and beautiful song! It so moving! Imagine how it felt for us ABBA fans that have been fans since the early 1970´s!! I cried like a baby when I heard and saw this video for the first time on september 2nd 2021! And in one and a half months I am going to London to see the Voyage concert at the ABBA Arena! I can´t wait! ;-)
Hello again dear friend I am very happy that you have finally reached this historic moment, after this memorable ABBA Journey that we are sharing on your channel. The great world news of this 21st century for the world of music is the return of the mythical Swedish quartet ABBA to the recording studios in 2017 after more than 35 years (the last song recorded was "The day before you came" in 1982 ) and the release of their new songs after 39 years (the last single released was "Under attack" in 1982) and a new full-length studio album after 40 years (the last one was "The Visitor" in 1981) Beyond the fact that these three data are for the Guinness Book of Records (I believe that no group, singer or artist can come close to these incredible and surprising brands), the most remarkable thing is How they came back, with what level of quality. . And I must say that ABBA exceeded all fears, doubts and expectations. Their return is impressive and his quality is still valid, incredible! We know the great spirit of perfection that Björn & Benny imprint on their creations, and their first two releases are up there with their greatest hits from the 80s. But the biggest unknown was knowing the state of the voices of Agnetha & Frida and how they could react to the inevitable passing of the decades and their possible comparisons with previous classics. And I must say that both look great. And in this there is an extraordinary mime work by Björn & Benny to "pamper" their historic singers, and ex-partners. They were entrusted with two wonderful songs, with beautiful melodies and deep lyrics, but were also surrounded by the iconic hooks and the call for emotional nostalgia. "I still have faith in you" is an unprecedented song in its conception in the history of ABBA because it is self-referential about them as a quartet; and it is also testimonial, because they tell us about their experiences in all this time Musically I see it as a mystical and epic ballad. A majestic piano and Frida's soft voice drive and recreate the ABBA story with moving beauty, with Agnetha joining in on a few verses to emphasize (and remind us of the famous 'third voice') The sound of the drums (a nod to the megahit "Fernando") is preparing the change of rhythm And with a powerful guitar comes that first unprecedented chorus, because this time all of ABBA sings from the depths of its history and with the strength of its testimony of life, healing and union. And in the second part the second chorus is even stronger, at times they even sing at three levels of voices, it is very clear that ABBA sings with the passion and courage that Björn's excellent lyrics highlight, it is like a triumphant song of thier survival and their bond And it ends with a solo by Frida, impeccable, with the sound of the flutes at the end The official video is also unprecedented in the history of ABBA For the first time, it shows them in the past and in retrospect. The entire first part (in black and white) is from their youth and beginnings, to the images of Eurovision 1974. Then comes (in color) the memorable tour to Australia 1977, with images of the incredible 'ABBAmania', taken in the movie "ABBA The Movie", and for the change of pace and the first chorus comes a succession of all the official videos. of ABBA up to and including 1979 Then comes the new melodic bridge and the initial image is resumed: ABBA prepared to go out to their last concerts in London in 1979, and that second chorus is interpreted by them as their 'ABBAtars' And here is a symbology: That scene is like the transition: ABBA are no longer the ones we remember, now we will see them in their ABBAtars recreating their image from the late 70s And this is how the Voyage Concerts that opened at the new ABBA Arena in London since May of 2022, and that they are a colossal success, with sales entries until May of next year, with projects to expand to other places like Australia or Singapur etc This official video was released globally in a Live Stream that showed ABBA fan meetings simultaneously in various cities around the world: Stockholm, London, Vienna, Berlin, Rejkiavik, New York, São Paulo, etc. BBC London interrupted its regular programming to join the launch of this video at exactly 5:00 p.m. on September 2 (2021) and for the second song "Don't shut me down" the lights came on with the new images of ABBA Voyage on the main bridge of Sydney at night in Australia while the pictures showed many mature ABBA fans crying with emotion upon hearing new ABBA songs again after almost 40 years (as I cried from a distance following the live broadcast on UA-cam). Thank you for your great reaction, with respect and admiration for all the music and history of ABBA, See you in the next new song My best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina South America
Thank you for re-reacting to this so that we could see it❣Frida's voice just blows me away, amazing how good she sounds especially considering her age!
Love your emotional response to Abba and I Still Have Faith In You.. I responded exactly the same when I heard and saw the video.. I’ve seen the Abba Voyage concert twice so far and it is beyond belief and if I had enough money I’d pay for you to fly over and see it ❤
Danke für Deine Reaktion. Jetzt weiß ich, dass Du zu uns gehörst. Zu uns, den ABBA-Fans, die bei diesem Lied und Video zu Tränen gerührt sind.😢 Thank you, my friend!😊
All the video you are seeing is taking them from youth to the year of the performance as they walk on stage. And that is the age they chose to have their ABBAtars be. So the video is also telling the story. It was so well done. The first time I heard this song, the day of release, along with millions of others, I had tears falling and I realized I was shedding a tear for the sheer emotion of the moment. 40 years later these elderly icons created a new album for us (and sure for them) but they did not have to. They gave us a gift for years and decades of devotion. How special are they? By the way, this is your best reaction. That is my opinion.
Amazing song, nostalgia overload with the video. Saw the ABBA Voyage show about a month ago and the abbatars look great on stage, couldn't believe my eyes
Slow songs/ballads always have it more complicated than the faster ones. That's why most fans put Don't Shut Me Down above I Still Have Faith In You, saying that DSM is a much better song. They're both outstanding; they're just completely different. Nothing beats ISHFIY for me, as it was ABBA's first song after the 40s, and the cherry on top is the lead vocal by Frida. That magical moment will always stay etched deep inside of me.
@@6549Marci I have noticed that people are starting to appreciate it more as time goes by! In the beginning it was definitely DSMD that got all the praise. I now frequently see both of them being praised as the best songs on the album.
I found your ABBA playlist over the weekend when I was sick and watched the whole thing through. I've recently rediscovered the band (after loving them when I was a kid) and it's been so fun to watch your journey through their music to becoming a fan! Oh and falling in love with Frida too (same) 😅
Thanks again for all your lovely ABBA-reactions. This song/video always get me tearyeyed also. I have to go to London and see the show. Greetings from Sweden ❤👍
@Bklynreau - If you ever have the oportunity to go to London, you MUST SEE ABBA VOYAGE! It is AMAZING and so emotional! I was there with my husband on my birthday the 15th of april, and it definitely wasn´t the last time I will travel from Denmark to London - just for this concert! 🤩
This one tore me up as well. It’s so good. It was so good to have them back, and have them back HUGE. The first album I ever bought was “ABBA Greatest Hits, vol 2” in 1979. The last one was this album on the day it released. Good job getting through it. I cried a little just watching you. Thank you for honoring this group.
It still feels unreal ABBA coming back like that i was at another concert 2 days ago some of that audience had been to the voyage show in London it sounds pretty spectacular I love your reaction the show I was at was Dollar check out Theresa bazar's solo record too much in love
Can I suggest you listen to Get On The Carousel. It was never released as a single, but was performed in Abba The Movie. The video on YT does has clips of the film mixed in with the live performance. I think you’ll enjoy it.
Hey, Brooklyn!✌️ Emotional and awesome reaction, men... 👌 I think you don't know how good singer is Frida yet.... really... try: 'I let the music speak' and 'Like an angel passing through my room' Take care B-Boy... see ya ❤️🇨🇱👍

This is after 40yrs in the wilderness just shows you much they had on everyone else

Such an emotional moment to hear and see this the first time, Frida in her 70s singing with ABBA for the first time in 40 years, gotta shed a tear.
Make me choke up every time ❤
One of ABBA's greatest recordings.
I didn't like it at first, but after hearing it a few times it grew on me, and now I love it.
Still crying. Greetings from Brazil.
i know right!!!

What a day that was when they came back to us with this beautiful song!
Hello again dear friend
I am very happy that you have finally reached this historic moment,
after this memorable ABBA Journey that we are sharing on your channel.
The great world news of this 21st century for the world of music
is the return of the mythical Swedish quartet ABBA to the recording studios in 2017
after more than 35 years (the last song recorded was "The day before you came" in 1982 )
and the release of their new songs after 39 years (the last single released was "Under attack" in 1982)
and a new full-length studio album after 40 years (the last one was "The Visitor" in 1981)
Beyond the fact that these three data are for the Guinness Book of Records
(I believe that no group, singer or artist can come close to these incredible and surprising brands),
the most remarkable thing is How they came back, with what level of quality. .
And I must say that ABBA exceeded all fears, doubts and expectations.
Their return is impressive and his quality is still valid, incredible!
We know the great spirit of perfection that Björn & Benny imprint on their creations,
and their first two releases are up there with their greatest hits from the 80s.

and how they could react to the inevitable passing of the decades
and their possible comparisons with previous classics. And I must say that both look great.
And in this there is an extraordinary mime work by Björn & Benny
to "pamper" their historic singers, and ex-partners.
They were entrusted with two wonderful songs, with beautiful melodies and deep lyrics,
but were also surrounded by the iconic hooks and the call for emotional nostalgia.
"I still have faith in you"
is an unprecedented song in its conception in the history of ABBA
because it is self-referential about them as a quartet;
and it is also testimonial, because they tell us about their experiences in all this time
Musically I see it as a mystical and epic ballad.
A majestic piano and Frida's soft voice drive
and recreate the ABBA story with moving beauty,
with Agnetha joining in on a few verses to emphasize
(and remind us of the famous 'third voice')
The sound of the drums (a nod to the megahit "Fernando")
is preparing the change of rhythm

The entire first part (in black and white) is from their youth and beginnings,
to the images of Eurovision 1974.
Then comes (in color) the memorable tour to Australia 1977,
with images of the incredible 'ABBAmania', taken in the movie "ABBA The Movie",
and for the change of pace and the first chorus comes a succession
of all the official videos. of ABBA up to and including 1979
Then comes the new melodic bridge and the initial image is resumed:
ABBA prepared to go out to their last concerts in London in 1979,
and that second chorus is interpreted by them as their 'ABBAtars'
And here is a symbology:
That scene is like the transition:
ABBA are no longer the ones we remember,
now we will see them in their ABBAtars recreating their image from the late 70s
And this is how the Voyage Concerts that opened
at the new ABBA Arena in London since May of 2022,
and that they are a colossal success, with sales entries until May of next year,
with projects to expand to other places like Australia or Singapur etc
This official video was released globally in a Live Stream
that showed ABBA fan meetings simultaneously in various cities around the world:
Stockholm, London, Vienna, Berlin, Rejkiavik, New York, São Paulo, etc.
BBC London interrupted its regular programming
to join the launch of this video at exactly 5:00 p.m. on September 2 (2021)
and for the second song
"Don't shut me down"
the lights came on with the new images of ABBA Voyage

Thanks for this reaction - I love this song - so well written and sung - and of course they can still sing amazingly. Frida on this is great.
It's a wonderful song, lyrics, music and vocals. Love it.

Love that you’re enjoying Abba in all their glory, awesome track 😌🤩
I think people took a while to warm up to this one. But it's so sweet and gentle. A song you can tell they wrote for each other.
oh yea without a doubt

I don't think you've done ABBA "Put On Your White Sombrero". It was a song they were planning to put on their next album in 80's which never happened.
