You crack me up. If you lost interest in your car gig -- you'd be great as a stand up comedian. I can't afford any of the cars you're promoting, but I throughly enjoy your presentation. Have a good one, Denis
We got Hyundai cars in Canada a few years earlier than the USA, 1984, with the introduction of the Pony (hatchback) and Stellar (sedan), both RWD. The first Hyundai in the USA was the Excel which was FWD. I have a 1986 Hyundai Pony 4DR hatchback. Very basic car with manual everything: locks, steering, brakes, windows, seats, CHOKE, points ignition, and NO catalytic converter. It was so early for Hyundai it was equipped with Mitsubishi 4G32 1.6L 4 cyl and 5 speed manual transmission. The chassis was based on the European Ford Cortina.
Bill, at 59 years old, I LOVE all your crusty, salty, bitter, sarcastic, morose, adorably shitty commentary. I look forward to every video, and like you think life was simpler and better in most ways in the late 1980s/early 1990s. DON'T EVER STOP, YOU ARE WELL LOVED BY SO MANY OF US!!!
Agree with your appreciation of Bill! I'll be 59 in a month and except for not having the internet at our fingertips back then life was better & easier in the 1980's & 1990's. Remember receiving BOTH Quarterly and Annual BONUSES? Unless where I worked was on the ropes I'd get around $4,000/Qtr and $7 or $8 annually, and it was ON TOP OF our normal salary. The "kids" reading this won't understand this one either, but before the shysters talked you into funding your own retirement with 401K's there was something called a *PENSION!!! EVERY YEAR WITHOUT FAIL my employer would put $12,000 to $15,000 into it.* Yes, employers funded your retirement. And without 24/7 smartphones taking away all our privacy & free time we actually maintained a work/life balance. Yes... things were pretty good in the '80s & '90s. P.S. All those dollar amounts are *NOT* CONVERTED into 2021 numbers!
Bill, nearly everything in my life (and lots of our lives) nowadays is really shitty, so don't ever feel you're alone in this; you're not. You're my favorite car guy here on UA-cam because you say what you feel very candidly and honestly and don't pull any punches. The fact some comments aren't about the cars at all, make me love your show the most of all!! :-)
My grandfather passed away earlier this year, and I can't explain how much Bill's videos have helped me. Between his humor and his nagging, it never fails to make me laugh. My grandad had the very same humor as Bill and overall was like a copy of Bill. Another thing Bill has in common with my late grandad was his love for Mercedes. Thank you again Bill, and never change.
Quickly becoming my favorite adult car review channel - love the witt, sarcasm, attitude etc. I'm at that age that it makes sense and makes me relate & laugh. 110 mph on the freeway NICE!

Hi Bill new to your channel. I am the owner of a 2011 Genesis which I bought new from a dealer in Fayetteville, NC while I was stationed in Iraq. Bought it over the internet and had my wife fly from San Antonio to go pick it up. I still have the car with 111800 miles. It still runs like a champ and would love to have a Eguis. Keep up the good work. Larry
This man is an absolute legend! His characterization of our Florida "sweat swamp" weather is spot on. As to the car, I remember the day my dad came home and drug my mother and I to the Hyundai dealership saying he was gonna buy one of these. On the way over, he kept going on and on, saying he was gonna save so much money and yada yada. We get there, and I thought the grill and weird logo were the gaudiest looking things I had ever seen. However, it wasn't until the test drive when the whole car started vibrating that he finally realized that this car's build quality just wasn't up to snuff. Went to the Lexus dealer and bought an LS. Still has it to this day.
You are the best, most entertaining, car reviewer on UA-cam! I love every one of your videos. You’re twice as good as Doug DeMuro or Savageese. And they are very good.
I can't get enough of your comedic value! I can't stop laughing. You with the pot, the gun, the coke, the animals. You truly make my day. love your reviews.

Bill, you're probably the most honest guy on here. It's the joy you have in being honest that makes your videos legendary. The cars are just great props (sometimes really great - I wish you were delivering to Western Australia) but in all truth, we're delighted to join you trash talk cars, their designers, their owners' neighbours, gardeners, birdlife and the weather we could not care less about. You are awesomeness Bill. I'm a car nut who drives a semi and my girlfriend/sister in law (very long story) goes with me. She hates listening to car shows but you are a 100% exception to that. Thanks a bunch brother for helping the miles pass
Hyundai and Kia are making cars that are on par with Toyota with an exception of their Theta engine series and teething problems with their DSG trans (What DSG isn't a unreliable turd?). That Theta engine is a complete shame when put in Optimas and Sonatas, ruins a very good car. I'll also add, I have seen a couple early 00's Sonatas, a Sorrento, and a a couple early 00's Elantras with 300K. I don't know how reliable those 300K miles were, but I've seen them on marketplace and Craigslist. Not a Kia or Hyundai guy, but I give them credit for the strides they've made since the sack of shit 1980's Hyundai Pony they came into the market with for example.
