@@HauntingTheHoly; My thoughts exactly so let me be the one to do so. So yes Bill IS the GREATEST OF ALL TIME! His style is just epic and out of this world! No doubt the Tesla is an interesting car, perhaps not for everyone but they're sure gaining popularity in the face of rising gas or petrol prices. In Canada it's a bit of a challenge due to a rather poor infrastructure of charging stations even in a major city like Toronto. I don't know but perhaps if I came into some gr8 dough I may get one and have a charging station built into my home. Oh well a guy can dream can't he! Have a blessed year Bill.
I’ve had 2 of my former Honda customers buy these cars. I got to sit in both and drive one of them. I got a full tutorial before driveling. My comment on the interior: it’s like a styling buck to set up the placement of everything that the lead designer signs off on the says”ok put all the switches in” then they forgot to put in the controls and switches! You and I hate it. The kids just love it. Great review, Bill.
Bill, you complain about the car but let’s be honest, you were having some fun with it! Thank you for making such a steady upload lately! And I wish you a happy new year!
I had to suffer the obligatory: 'I'm sure you want to ride in my Tesla' cringe experience when someone I knew got one of these. Having to pretend to be impressed with the acceleration etc. Ugh. Some Tesla owners are the worst people on the planet.
If I had one (used) I'd have to put a bunch of stickers all over it... I don't think I'm better than you I'm not rich I'm not a mega liberal I don't like Elon Musk I like gasoline and diesel But I would rather drive a used "any other EV" than a Tesla, at least they blend in. The average public's reactions are exactly what I stated above, they think you're "a member of their team". And they have large tax credits which people aren't a fan of... Joe schmo driving his Camry or beat up old truck paid taxes to help you buy an expensive car. Too polarizing for me. If I ever get an EV i'd love to get a converted gas car. Something totally unique.
I know a guy who got a Tesla as a corporate lease deal with his new job. Because it wasn't really his and had no intention to keep it, he went with the drive it like you stole it mindset. It was a fun car, and he enjoyed it. When I asked him if he'd ever consider buying one he laughed and said "Hell no! They literally have to pay me to drive it already." Not the best endorsement.
Never have I been more uninspired by a vehicle. I would have to have the aspirations on just to remain interested. Spare me from this automotive hell! Happy New Year, Bill! Great videos, man!
Bill this has got to be hands down the most entertaining and yet truthful review of the year. I'm gonna lmfao for the rest of the day. Thank you again.🤣
You have an I.Q. of 10 just like the guy that reviewed it. I can't believe I'm reading this hahahahaha This is the most falsified review on UA-cam! This video should be brought down.
Happy New Year Bill ... over this past year your videos have become the first thing I tune in to at night. Thanks for all the great reviews and for showcasing some pretty spectacular cars from the past. I hope 2022 brings you cool crisp mornings, less bird activity and protection from all the terrifying wildlife that seem to be closing in slowly.
My pop has one and he loves it, not a Tesla fanboy but he does like the car itself minus a few crappy quirks like the "minimalism", interior camera, toddler-level QC, etc. Thing he hates most is that it went through a new set of rear tires in 20k miles. Caters to his sense of humor, too. Never seen a man happier than when he discovered all the fart functions. I'm not a massive fan, but especially for an SUV it's fast as stink and it drives excellently. I've always been one for old ICE vehicles and that hasn't changed, but then again, my dad drove a series of beater station wagons for the last 30 years and I think he's done with anything that has a dipstick. I'm going to have my fun with gas cars for as long as the government will let me, but EVs are definitely the future for better or worse. Absolutely would not give money to Musk, though.
@@volvo09 He was into Legacies and Outbacks, I inherited his last one with catalytic converter issues. Which I fixed by redlining the crap out of it and burning away the sediment, Italian tuneup style. But before that I had a 740 wagon that I loved dearly. Thing had been totaled twice with 300k miles on the broken odometer. Absolute cockroach of a vehicle, as far as I know some guy up in Vermont is still doodling around in it.
Bill sounds like an extremely literate and verbose Oscar the Grouch. Keep the great videos coming Bill, always makes me laugh "It's as heavy as a '62 Cadillac!" Feeling pretty chipper and chilly up in Vancouver Canada, 15 degrees F right now, and no, it's almost never this cold in Vancouver in the winter. Very unusual.
I got a new, late 2021 long range dual motor Model 3 in November for $54k. They made significant improvements in the car recently - the build quality and fit and finish issues of the past seem to be corrected. I was on the fence for a long time if these cars were worth the price and if Tesla would even survive. The car is a rocket ship and has almost any luxury feature you can imagine. No squeaks or rattles - very quiet car - all you hear is the tires on pavement. Drives like a German sports sedan. All with no maintenance and nearly zero operating cost. Granted, they are an appliance - no character and somewhat disconnected from the road. For some reason, Tesla struggles with the Y. The 3 and the S are really well done.
I heard that if you get in a accident they don't have any replacement parts on hand and it's almost 6 months for body parts. If true that could be a sticky situation if it's your only car. Even if you have rental insurance, they only cover it for a certain amount of time.
My cousin has a 2020 dual motor Y. Fast as heck, but the novelty wears off quickly. For a used toy, they’re fun, but you have to be a gambler at heart to buy one new. Thanks, Bill, for another amusing review. Happy 2022!
Bill I have been watching your videos for years first comment. First, you are hilarious and if I am ever having a bad day, whenever you mention “chipper Canadians” I sit in my bed and laugh aloud while my wife wonders if I’ve truly lost my mind. Love your reviews of the vintage cars of my youth. I recently drove my first Tesla…I enjoyed the driving experience but share your distain for the pretentiousness of such a tech car. I hated - hated the turn signals. Could not for the life of me figure them out. And I too hate the lack of a dashboard. Perhaps you should review a Mach e that may have less of the immaturity (better dash) but still with the incredible handling. Anyway keep rocking and don’t drink too much of the Corona Whiskey!!!
Bill I think your right on target with this Tesla!!! I'm not a fan of it or any electric vehicle at all, you’re a true joy to listen to. Next time I’m in the Naples area I got to meet you at the lot, keep the videos and the sarcasm coming.
What a fantastic 2021 sign off Bill, this Tesla vid had me crying with laughter, should have been longer, you dare to go where the rose tinted fan boys won't and I love it. If this is the future then God help us. Best wishes for 2022 and more Curious reviews. Cheers from the U.K (Yorkshire, England)
HAHA. I was thinking the same thing about the plastic echo cheap sound. That much money I expect leather seats and soft door panels. Just wait until all those electronic gadgets begin to fail.
Just what I want to do, is screw around with a computer screen when I want to drive a car. Also, I take umbrage with your comment about NikolaTesla. He may have been eccentric, but he was undoubtedly a genius. The fact that you have power in your home can be attributed to his invention. Many of his inventions were stolen and ironically the sheer brilliance of his engineering mind is what let this car company to name itself after.
Happy New Year Bill! This was a very funny review, many good laughs. Please don't ever change the sarcasm and humor. As if anyone could convince you to do so haha ...
Absolutely spot on. Who in their right mind wants a 15" television on the middle of the dash. Give me simple please. The nwest car have owned was my 91 Chev PU, and I got pissed of at it because I could not adjust the HVAC system without taking my eyes off the road. All these vehicles with these systems are a hazard. Talk about distracted driving. Holy Shit. Where is Ralph when we really need him?
Bill, I have been watching you for a long time and I like how you keep it real! I am 42 and that's just about the way I feel about these Tesla's and children. I thought that I was the only one but it's so comforting knowing that someone else has similar issues. Happy new year, looking forward to seeing what's coming in 2022!
I binged listening to 20 or so of these car review episodes on a drive from Illinois to North Dakota this week, and it was so entertaining and engaging! Agree with the sentiments on the Tesla but this is someone with 2 Lincoln Town Cars and a Mustang convertible, cars that have soul!
I’m all for the electric future. Just as soon as they make an electric motor efficient enough to put in my 1973 Cadillac Coupe DeVille! Because technology is cool, but I still care about size and looks! 😎😎😎
Bill you need to cut down on the Covid Whiskey, for a second there I through it was a Tesla in the thumbnail. Happy New Year Bill, thanks for keeping us entertained and free from PC woke snowflake crap.
Will future software updates include multiple flatulence settings based on the drivers diet. Ex Veggie farts, burger farts, bean burrito blowouts? Maybe they will be based on the car knowing where you last stopped for drive-through or include under-seat sensors to sniff test your actual gas and provide the correct harmonic accompaniment. Anyway thanks Bill for making the best of what looks like a horrific future for the automobile (not to mention humanity in general).
I often visit Tesla fan forums. Then it gradually became apparent that many Tesla fans on these forums don't actually own a Tesla. When they can afford it, they will buy one. Which means that many of the Tesla fans should probably be investing in a 401K or something that could help them to be more than just cool. Then, they could buy anything that they want. I watched the recent Regular Car Reviews video on the Dodge Neon. Now, I'm more likely to own an old Neon than an old Tesla.
Maybe it should have the soul of a child... its a new company (relatively) and they are growing 150% every year, eventually they will have more substance but for now efficient growth is all that matters to them.
Happy new year Bill, from Wigan UK. I'm 53 and loved cars all my life. Let's hope these tacky overpriced toys don't destroy cars for good. I feel these screens on wheels are the beginning of the end, where, like a hundred years ago, only wealthy people could own and run a new car, once the petrol and diesel ban comes in. We're going backwards in the name of 'progress '.
Thanks Bill for this helpful review. One thing you absolutely missed was the lack of a flasher fluid tank. Once you run out of fluid the flashers won't work and you could have your car impounded because it would be deemed unsafe. I heard it through the grapevine that this has already happened to many model Y owners but the info is being suppressed by farting noises whenever it is reported by the media. Might be worthwhile looking into if you can stand the stench. Thanks again. You have gained a new subscriber.
Bahahaha I lost it at Tesla's resume, holy shit! literally laughed out loud. I was thinking what's the automotive analogy to that undersell, and that's like calling Dale Earnhardt a Jiffy Lube attendant. Tesla was actually really good at electricity, he made Thomas Edison seem like a guy who stuck forks in outlets. God I love this channel.
Thanks for another very entertaining review I haven't laughed at so much in a long time and that fart sound is so apt for a Tesla. a very happy new year to you to Bill from down under Melbourne Australia
Imagine driving and needing to quickly turn the defrosters on. Pressing one button or sliding something that's right there and tactile, quick to use? Rush hour traffic, you're doing a respectable speed in a large city? Fucking stupid. Let me have to stare at a screen and figure out a fiddly touch screen that can get dirty and not work how you want it to. For christ sake, the fucking levers you operate like you're putting the afterburners on in a aircooled volkswagen are incredibly easier to use than a god damn touch screen. My next car will be 60+ years old, fuck this.
@@themoviedealers My two vehicles are a 2004 2WD stick shift Tacoma and a 1974 Super Beetle. I already have one of those things on both vehicles and already do that thing. I just need a vehicle that starts, stops and goes when I need it. I want it to be reliable, have heat (AC optional), a radio and decent seats. The ability to play CDs is nice too. I have no desire for a touch screen, I don't want doors that open with a phone or some electronic actuation, I want a key, I want something I can understand and fix if it does break or Joe down at the local shop can figure it out for me. I genuinely will be buying a car that is even older than what I have as my next vehicle, I have two in my sights as it is. I barely drive anything other than a company vehicle, and as simple as those vans are I can already see the problems of mass computerization. A tire goes flat, you inflate it or get it replaced? Computer doesn't know that and shits its pants. The doors will lock themselves for no reason and lock you out of the van. Yes, this has happened to me. If I'm going to drive maybe 5,000 miles a year in my own vehicle, I'm going to do it in something I enjoy driving and can enjoy for a very long time. That includes fixing them myself.

They haven't won me over to even go look at them or take a test drive. I've watched a lot of videos on Tesla's and find myself persistently asking the question "Why?" Great Review Bill! I'll also never get why everything nowadays needs to be controlled via touchscreens, if I wanna adjust my vents while driving, I can't take my eyes off the road for 3 minutes while trying to find my "vent settings", same goes for radio, A/C etc. In my '91 Town Car the A/C control literally only has 3 sliders (that's all you need), perfectly usable while driving. When did people decide they want their cars to be completely impractical?
Absolutely hilarious, great job Bill! 1) Hell yeah Wangan Midnight, it's so dumb I love it. 2) A group called TeslaCorsa is running track days at Buttonwilow. They pile on with other organizers and run 15-minute sessions instead of the 20-minute sessions gas cars run. There's quite a following that comes out. Maybe 15 cars on the track and 10 of their friends that show up with custom license plates and "Supercharged" shirts. The track installed a couple of AC power hookups, in addition to the camping hookups. The cars are disturbingly quiet. I've got a video on my channel "Electric vs Gas Race Start at Buttonwillow Raceway". Usually when a race track gets quiet they're clearing a wreck and we're losing time from our next session, but nope, just the electric cars. Also, it seems like 1/3 of the cars retire after 2-3 sessions. So they're fast, but not very well suited for racing.

He’s Lexus prize themselves on customer after care. My uncle had a Lexus and he said when he took it for a service they’d treat you like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble for them. You coffee, tea, even food delivered while you want? No problem they’d say..
But does the Lexus fart?
Bill - the all time BEST Car guy on ALL of You Tube!!!!!!!!!
I'm undeserving of that and honored. Thank you.
Easily.
@@curiouscars9282 Has anyone, perhaps not-so-creatively, called you the GOAT of car reviews, yet?
@@HauntingTheHoly
What has the term goat morphed inti? It used to mean the guy who blew the game with a dumb error.
Why discriminate? Everybody sucks.
@@rudolphguarnacci197 😂I am close to becoming a total misanthrope, which in itself is a sucky attitude I guess.
Clearly you haven’t met a Hellcat owner.
If I had one (used) I'd have to put a bunch of stickers all over it...
I don't think I'm better than you
I'm not rich
I'm not a mega liberal
I don't like Elon Musk
I like gasoline and diesel
But I would rather drive a used "any other EV" than a Tesla, at least they blend in.
If he thinks the Audi had no soul I'm excited to hear his thoughts on this. 🤣
Never have I been more uninspired by a vehicle. I would have to have the aspirations on just to remain interested. Spare me from this automotive hell! Happy New Year, Bill! Great videos, man!
Bad for inspiration. Great for commuting. It is what it is.
Nicola Tesla was an engineering genius, a real scientist,
Bill this has got to be hands down the most entertaining and yet truthful review of the year. I'm gonna lmfao for the rest of the day. Thank you again.🤣

OMG, what a week, Bill`s videos are just coming and coming. Well done Bill
Hello Bill from Ron in Manchester, I never thought I would see you do a review of a Tesla. Hope you and your family have a Happy New year
I cannot wait for Bill to review a Tesla cybertruck😊
Happy New Year Bill ... over this past year your videos have become the first thing I tune in to at night. Thanks for all the great reviews and for showcasing some pretty spectacular cars from the past. I hope 2022 brings you cool crisp mornings, less bird activity and protection from all the terrifying wildlife that seem to be closing in slowly.
I think Bill set a record for exasperated sighs in this one.
Methinks Bill farts loudly when he is home all to himself
Wagons eh? Any Volvos?
@@volvo09 He was into Legacies and Outbacks, I inherited his last one with catalytic converter issues. Which I fixed by redlining the crap out of it and burning away the sediment, Italian tuneup style.
But before that I had a 740 wagon that I loved dearly. Thing had been totaled twice with 300k miles on the broken odometer. Absolute cockroach of a vehicle, as far as I know some guy up in Vermont is still doodling around in it.
Please never stop, Bill. Funnier than any network offering in the last 2 decades
You rock Bill and deserve every subscriber. For now, you're our dirty little secret.
Absolutely hilarious. Happy New year Bill your work is legendary.
I don't think I've ever seen someone enjoy something so much that they insist they dislike to the core...Bill, you crack me up!
Pure GOLD!!! Bill ….every video you make cheers me up! Look forward to every one you make!!!
Bill is reviewing a Tesla!? This just made my New Years Eve! Happy New Years Bill, and thank you for making your videos!
I wish I had this Car it's Cool
I was really surprised how much echo there is inside. When you're yelling about the gauge cluster it sounds like you're sitting in an empty box
Its all of the cheap aztec plastic.
My '03 Mitsu Diamante is quieter inside, hell it has good panel gaps unlike this shitbox.
HAHA. I was thinking the same thing about the plastic echo cheap sound. That much money I expect leather seats and soft door panels. Just wait until all those electronic gadgets begin to fail.
True! 😝
Learning that Bill is actually pretty good at making Electronic Music is certainly a plot twist I didn't see coming! haha
Yeah, think I'd roll with the Chrysler Cordoba you had on here.
Hell yeah brother!
No doubt, this thing looks like a surface lure with wheels.

The nwest car have owned was my 91 Chev PU, and I got pissed of at it because I could not adjust the HVAC system without taking my eyes off the road. All these vehicles with these systems are a hazard. Talk about distracted driving. Holy Shit. Where is Ralph when we really need him?

Yes! Imagine watching this Tupperware Tesla fartfest after watching Bill's glorious '86 XJ6 review.
I was wrong about electric vehicles, this one has the soul of a 5 year old .
At least a 5 year old has personality.

Happy New Year Bill. Had a great year enjoying your videos, really appreciate them all.
Thoroughly enjoyed your review and honesty! Cheers and hoping for a better 2022
Happy New Year, Bill! Jimmy Carter sends his regards.
Thanks Bill! Happy New Year!! Can’t wait to see what you bring us in ‘22!
You joke, but wanting a pre-computer, pre-internet vintage vehicle will definitely be a thing in the future for certain people.
Just about everything is voice activated so you just say "turn on defrost" Done.

I’m sure that people had the same misgivings about the first gasoline powered cars 100 years ago.
By 1922 there were already millions of cars on the road and by then, only the Amish were using horses for daily transportation. Tesla is far from the first electric car. Bill wasn’t attacking EVs in general; just tweaking Elon’s nose.

For all of Tesla's tech & innovations, for the life of me I don't understand why they make their cars camouflaged to look like "ordinary" cars.
I saw an aftermarket front bumper on one once that had a regular grille opening like a normal car... It looked shockingly good, made me realize they could look better than a melted pill.
@@volvo09 Tesla needs to find the next John Delorean or whoever it is that designed the 50's-60's Corvettes or something. If you're going to shock the world with the technology, don't do it on a car that looks like a Honda.

Great Review Bill!
The '91 Town Car is a way better choice than this electric crap.
I am impressed with your quick ability to make a very good beat
Best Tesla review yet 😀
Your best review so far. Electric motors are for hair dryers.
Great video to end 2021. Happy New Year!
