Great presentation as always! Definitely not just some things to think about but actions to take sooner rather than later.

I read Harry Browne's mind opening book in the early 70s. It changed the way I thought about life and it seemed freedom was the obvious ideal for everyone. But if it takes about a generation for a great new idea to become mainstream then Libertarian ideal is a failure. Decades ago a wise hard line Democrat friend of mine laughingly pointed out that politics is about gaining power since Libertarians want to decentralize power they will never win. My Democrat friend eventually became a federal judge. Lib party still loses. Until libertarians, like Ron Paul did, infiltrate the GOP it will be the loser party.

Hold more money with you, that's the whole plan?

Dear Jeff, I understand the idea of taking care of your own self but when people like my father, family and friends say, que sera sera it's irritating because our experiment in governance needs to be watched and the people need to be involved.
Something I wish you would explore or tell me why I'm wrong. One hundred years ago the Congress changed four big things, income tax, the fed, voting of Senators and the one limiting the House Of Representatives to 435. The Constitution says we can have no more than 1 per 30,000. Now we have 1 per 750,000 and Wyoming is still allowed only 1 Representative.
I realize having a Constitutional Convention would be hard to do and I realize many people don't think we even have a Constitution anymore but if the Constitution says that then we should be able to have a House of up to 10,000 people. At least we can get rid of the bought Congressmen complaint and I think we would get a better idea of what the American people really do want. Hopefully it would get people interested in their Local, State and Federal Governments again. If America still goes down the toilet then so be it. We'll just go back to a collection of 50 individual states. Maybe that should be the goal instead.
