I realized this after the fact because I recorded this at 1am, but I apologise for editing only a single section of a clip in this video and not editing a small section inside of a full clip (like most of you would be doing). I hope it wasn't too confusing, I just wanted to trim out the unnecessary parts to only work on a single section to show you both effects easily. ThiccMedia so if I wanted to, I could just “sally” part of a clip and then put the effect on the one portion and then maybe add some sort of light flash effect or some sort of blur between the cut to give the cool slow down to normal speed time jump effect?

Drag the yellow timeline thing over your clips and press ctrl+b this pre renders your clips and makes editing easier

Hi Nick, I have a problem. When I open my render video it has no picture, just black screen with audio. I used VLC. Aslo, during editing my video preview is slow, audio is good but video is not fast, goes slows with pauses. I will appreciate your help.

Do you know how to handle 240 FPS video to bring it down to 30 FPS? And aside from time stretch you could also use velocity or go to the video properties and change the playback rate to 0.50 if you're coming down from 60 FPS. But, it seems Vegas can't handle 240 FPS in the methods I mentioned which is really disappointing. But, if you know another way, please let me know!
3:43 - How to fix: Use before rendering "Loopregion", to select the region what do you want to render.
How to: The Loopregion is a bar over the timestemp above the clip, just hold mousebutton and drag.

idkk whyyy when i hold control and like drag it in for a speed up it doesnt work and if im not holding ctrl it just cuts normally :( idk what to do
when I speed up a clip my software gets laggy and I rendered out the video and it still is laggy. The clip at normal speed with edits is fine but for some reason the speed up clip lags a bunch. Any advice?

The fix on having that blank black empty clip if you left it in the middle or at that hour mark. All you have to do is double click it and it renders just the clip and cuts everything else out. I learned that in sony vegas pro 10.

how do you do the filtered version of speed/slow down? it's the one where the voice gets real high pitch when sped up, and very deep when slowed down... otherwise i'd have to install windows movie maker in a VM to do it -_-
That little yellow triangle over the 00:00:00 is you render selection marker, move it to render what is included inside the 2 triangle.
Its called the loop region. When you open the render window click on Render option it should be set to Render Loop Region Only By default. If you dont move that yellow triangle it will just render everything up to the last clip.
This is a good suggestion.
i bought 17 premium, what's the difference between that and 17 pro? i do not see the vector wheel for color grading on my system.
there is actually better way with audio results when you right click on audiotrack /properties/ on the time stretch/pitch shift select classic and check lock to stretch box and u are good to go.....

tip so you said you dont know why if you render a video out with it not being at the start there will be blank black screen in the finished project thats because you need to grab those little yellow triangles to the start and end of your clip than it will just render that section.

HOW TO FIX AUDIO EASILY!:
To fix you audio don't add a stupid effect. Right click the slow-mo audio track; Select "Properties"; and you will see the second to last option; "Lock to stretch" select that. BAM! WOW! OMG!!! Fixed audio.. It's that easy :D
