one thing i have learned, if you try to make a slow frame footage (slow-mo) you need to resample it. so it's not dropping the frame speed, instead creating new resampled slow-mo from actual footage into the project timeline. there is one plugin that actually works for slow-mo ing footage it's called twixtor. i create 1 sec scene (30fps) and slow it down to 8second very smoothly. distance between frame, twixtor will warp it. but if the distance movement is way too far, the warp effect will be seen weirdly. its a paid one, but you know internet -- you can always find anything xD lol
I do not understand why you would put a 60fps or 120 fps video on a 30fps or 25fps timeline for slow motion, would that not just be removing frames when rendered??

The result is that it's possible to slow down 30 fps material about 50% or more and it looks very good. Is there any way to apply the same slow motion as in Adobe After Effect?
domin45670 yes, in VEGAS Pro 17 Theres a built it plugin called Slow Motion which you can pull down till 10% with only 30FPS footage. Side note, you’re comparing NLE software (VEGAS/Premiere/FCPX) with Compositor software (AE/NUKE/Fusion/VE)

You can simply click to the sound and ungroup them (you can use the button 'u' for it too), after this, slow the sound. If you want to group them after, you can choose them both and press 'g'. Note: When you use velocity, video range stays too. Before this progress, you should drag the video to end so you can see finish of it.

(Yes, twixtor are made for 30FPS Clip) If you shooting on set, the first thing you wanted to make sure is the light source on set is enough to lit up the whole scene. Frame rates is adjusted according to the story
LlamaSpeed your video is not really true 60FPS unless you’re shooting from actual cinema camera. You cant slowdown 60FPS video in 60FPS project. Because your project is set to 60FPS as normal playback.

Karol B. Pick the same FPS u used on ur timeline settings If ur using 24fps on ur project, upon rendering u pick the same FPS, 24. The workflow must be the same

The velocity envelope doesn't apply to sound, so the video gets slowed down but the sound stays normal speed. How do you slow down the sound as well?

Means ur camera is in PAL format, change it to NTSC format to get 120FPS options
