- The Ola S1 pro electric scooter is tested for its performance on steep inclines. This time i am testing the S1 pro with a pillion rider and the total weight is 145Kg. If you haven't seen my solo incline test video, please watch that video first. In this test, it is reveled that 'Normal' mode cannot be used to tackle steep inclines while riding with a pillion. Sport mode too is inadequate in case of stop and start in the middle of a steep incline. This is a serious concern because the S1 Model doesn't have 'Hype Mode'. So S1 will fail in steep inclines if ridden with a pillion.

Hill hold ഇല്ലാതെ s1 വിറ്റാൽ അടിപൊളി ആയിരിക്കും. ഭാവിയിൽ വേല്ലോ update കൊടുക്കും ആയിരിക്കും. ഇല്ലാതെ എങ്ങനെ aa വണ്ടി കയറി പോകാൻ ആണ്. Hill hold കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ല എങ്കിൽ brake ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ ഉള്ള cut off വണ്ടി stop ചെയ്ത് എടുക്കുമ്പോൾ work അവരുത്. പിന്നെ e type വണ്ടി ഒക്കെ നിലവിൽ ഏറ്റവും ഉചിതം സിറ്റിയിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ ആണ്.
ശരിയാണ്. Hill hold ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ അത് ഒരു സുരക്ഷാ പ്രശ്നം തന്നെ ആണ്
അത് കൊണ്ട് എല്ലാവരും സിറ്റിയിൽ പോകാം .

The advantage of petrol scooter is not it's engine but CVT in between engine and wheel. Since dc motors have better starting torque and variable speed there is no need of a CVT for normal purposes. But here it is not good enough 🥲

I was about to book s1x , as they provided 8 years warranty and good spec , when I did test ride I understand that if I press breaks I cant able to move like petrol scooter, I need to release full break to accelerate, this is a major issue when ur turning in roads and very difficult to ride in slope if u r stuck in middle, eventually I decided not to book ola

Still S1 owners need not worry, as it can be updated to Pro anytime by paying 30k.. And most of these issues could be sorted out in future updates as hardware is actually capable.
The original S1 customers should be worried. They are providing locked S1 pro for already booked customers. But in future the customers will only get S1 with limited hardware too. So it will be a problem

Ola is running directly on motor and ICE scooters have a variable transmission (CVT) which works like gear box and help pulley system for both more rpm and more torque if you know how these engines work then it's not a big question
Electric motors generally have best torque at stall/low speed. It seems that Ola is either lying about 50+nm torque or limiting the maximum current motor can take, thus limiting maximum torque. A normal 110cc petrol scooter have ~8nm engine torque. assuming maximum gear reduction of 2.5, torque at the wheels will be 2.5*8=20nm. Practically, it will be less than that due to transmission losses. So ola S1 practically have way less torque than their actual claim
Thery are limiting the initial power via software.

ഇത് electric motors ന്റെ fault അല്ല. Ola not doing their job properly. Electric motors ന് ice engines നേക്കാൾ വളരെ കൂടുതല്‍ torque ഉള്ളതോണ്ടാണ് gearbox use ചെയ്യാത്തത്. Example വേണമെന്കിൽ Tesla യെ നോക്കൂ ആദ്യത്തെ 100km range ൽ അത് sports car ആയ Lamborghini യെക്കാളും fast ആണ്. Electric motors ന്റെ high torque കാരണം. It also does not have gears, only have fixed gear reduction just like ola
