Why does he not talk about the part of Kashmir that was "gifted" by Pakistan to China (also called Aksai Chin)? If Kashmir was supposed to be "disputed", then Pakistan has no right to give away land to a third country (in this case China), let alone allow China to make roads through it as a part of CPEC. Pakistan did not ‘gift’ any Kashmiri land to China. In fact, it gained 1942 sq kms (750 miles) from the Chinese, in the 1963 Sino-Pakistan boundary agreement. In fact, the Trans-Karakoram Tract, that Delhi claims- has been ‘gifted’ by Islamabad to Beijing, was not under Pakistani control that they could have vacated it and given it to China. The Treaty is public, so are the maps as a result of it which show Pakistan gaining the aforementioned amount of area and adding it to Gilgit-Baltistan rather than the other way around.

As a Kashmiri Pakistan's stand on Kashmir seems hypocritical, on one side Pakistan makes a hue and cry about the abrogation of article 370 but Pakistan made the same move in Gilgit Baltistan way back in 1950s by ending state subject there and bifurcating Pakistan administered Kashmir into "Azad" Kashmir and GB, India kinda just followed the suit by abrogating our special status and bifurcating our part of the state into two. Pakistan has no moral or legal standi to cry about it.
Secondly, Pakistan being a signatory to Shimla Agreement became a party to the fact that Kashmir is not an international issue but a bilateral one which reduced or completely ended the scope of international intervention. India uses Shimla agreement as a defence against foreign mediation, thanks to Pakistan.
Thirdly, Abdul Basit saying that Kashmiris need to acceed to Pakistan and then decide their political future is the same scam that happened to us in 1947. An overwhelming majority in Kashmir wants independence and it has been proven by various international polls but Pakistan lacks political commitment to come out openly in support it because it will hurt their own national interests.

There are a few things every Pakistani should know about India's approach toward Kashmir.
1. India is committed to fulfilling all the aspirations of Kashmiris to live a good life but we have zero tolerance for separatists, in other words, all Islamic militants will be deleted.
2. J&K is just like another state of India, neither less nor more. All faiths and religions including Ahmadis, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains etc have a right to exist in Kashmir. And we will do our best to protect them as well as moderate Kashmiri Muslims who oppose Islamic terror groups operating in the Kashmir valley and openly operated by the Pakistani state including JeM and LeT.
4. Entire J&K is a part of India including the areas occupied by Pakistan, including Gilgit and Baltistan, and also those parts of Kashmir handed over to China by Pakistan. Though as a peace-loving nation India would like to take back the territory through bilateral negotiations and would not like to use force to take back its own territory from Pakistan.
5. UN resolution on Kashmir stands obsolete in the light of the Shimla Agreement in 1972. India returned 90,000 prisoners of war and did not insist on converting the ceasefire line/LOC into an international border, now Pakistan is interpreting India Gandhi's large-heartedness as weakness. That was the opportunity Pakistani missed.
5. India's territorial unity and integrity are sacred and it is non-negotiable. Don't underestimate our resolve to protect this country against our enemies. No foreign power can force India to compromise on this. We stood firmly for decades when four permanent members of the security council were openly supporting Pakistan in the UN security council. Now only one - China - supports Pakistan and the rest firmly opposed violence and terrorism and the regressive policies of Pakistani regimes.
6. If Pakistan repeats Mumbai-style attacks on India, this time the response will be swift and different. Modi will react firmly. He will not allow Pakistan to send Islamic terrorists to attack India under a nuclear umbrella.

Only solution is Pakistan should accept line of actual control as international border only then pakistan can survive as single piece otherwise pakistan resources would be too much drained and pakistan would get bankrupt then it would have people's revolution then their would be chaos or disintegration. UN Resolution on kashmir:
1) Pakistani army leaves POK.
2) If, condition 1 is satisfied then Indian army leaves Indian side of Kashmir.
3) If both conditions are satisfied then, voting will happen under UNSC peace keeping forces security.
So UN resolution is not happening because of paxtan cuz paxtan is not removing forces from POK.
UN resolutions has no stand after 1972 Shimla agreement, bcoz both countries have agreed its a bilateral issue that will be resolved bilaterally without third party intervention. So UN resolutions have nothing to do in Kashmir if India doesn't agree to it. Only way out is If Pakistan negotiates with India else it remains standstill. And Pakistan knows it very well thats why they do UN resolutions bcoz they don't want to negotiate from weak position and they know they will never be able to negotiate from the position of strength.
