We rarely post a video more than 48 hrs after it was made... This should help with some of the older videos... They should all have the date posted on them...

The cucumbers did not mature in time... Worth a try though... And yes, we cure our regular potatoes as well... It gives the skin time to thicken and dry some, and it allows for any nicks and scrapes to weep, dry, and heal over... Then they will store better...

Mark, I live in zone 8 and will be planting in my raised beds late March. Can I top off my beds now (December)with your super soil or should I wait until a week or so before I plant...Thanks GREAT channel!
I would wait... If only because of soil leaching... Nitrogen is water soluble (which is how it end up in the water supply) and would be depleted a little with every rain between adding and planting...

Thought you guys might find this interesting I was watching something earlier today, someone in the United Kingdom, did you know that they can not feed anything to their chickens that they cut up in their kitchen, no vegetable scraps, now I find that just plain crazy. Enjoy sweet potatoes, Tina's favorite.
They get a lot of garden scraps... These vines were frost bit (mushy in places) so not this go round, but they did help me with the beet tops recently, which they love...

so just out of curiosity. what year was your biggest harvest of sweet potatoes? i tried growing potatoes this year for the first time. the hail came a long and took my whole garden out.
It was filled to the brim originally with a combination of hay and peat moss... We top it off as it settled and the hay broke down... Spreads the cost of filling it over several years...
From a while back Tina had mentioned Mark had complications from the Covid vaccine being injected too close to a nerve in his arm & we’re hoping he’s doing better after all this time ?

I’m always amazed how much leaf & vine growth sweet potatoes produce! We put them in our decorative beds one year and they took over! 😂

Beautiful harvest, what is the best way to store them for use through out the year?
They need to be hot and humid for the first couple weeks, then cool and dry... I lay them out on sheets in an upstairs (unused) bedroom...

2017 or 2018 I think it was, we harvested over 200 lbs from that 8' diameter planter...

what kind of drainage do you have in your tank?
The drain hole is turned to the downhill side and we put rocks and screen on the inside to keep it open and critters out...
