As for me, I typically play about 75 battles per day (3 sets of 25 battles each), and without having gone to the lengths that you have in recording your games, compiling the raw data, and presenting the actual stats regarding map rotation, I'd have to say that I agree with your findings.
Sure, I get this or that map a bit more often than some of the others, and sometimes I don't see some maps for longer intervals in between... we all do.
But, even though I've been rather critical of WG about various issues over the last seven years, map rotation seems to be at least one facet of the game that WG gets right.

I agree: I got my criticisms, but map rotation is not one of them.
I do seem to have maps that coincide with using certain tanks, but that's probably just my mind bias lol
Think even though you are not playing same maps back to back, they visually and gameplay-wise feel the same. After the graphics update in 6.0 , it seems most maps got reworked to use a lot less unique assets. Green grass is the same on every green map, and its the same everywhere. Old maps used to be a lot different visually, so if you had a desert map, it was different visually from other desert maps. But after 6.0 and new engine, their assets got seemingly more scarce, so now everything looks the same. And gameplay wise, well, some maps arent designed well enough to foster healthy gameplay habits. And Cold War suffers a lot from this, where there is no benefit to having True Vision when you are driving around 70kmh on tiny-ass maps that were designed decades ago for a completely different, more static gameplay. Or when most of your true vision is obscured by trees, rocks etc.
Completely agree that the quality of maps hasn't improved since update 6.0
You bring up an interesting point. Cold War typically does get the larger version of SOME maps, but, overall, all the maps are too small for how fast the tanks are and the range they are capable of engaging at. Instead of maxing out at about 1.5X1.5 km, going up to 3X3 or even 5X5 km maps would probably fix a lot of the issues with Cold War. Of course, minimum arming distance on ATGMs and more realistic offroading speeds for tanks would help, too.
Is this a reserch based on ww2 only? There are way more maps in that mod l belive.
In cw l very ofthen get the same map every second game. Ofthen you end up with same map changeing era. Its not a feel its quite noticeable.
What a great upload Rikitikitave good perspective after you put it to practice , Iv been guilty of saying this myself . I think they have done a good job bringing maps back. I would love to see one or 2 more modern type themed maps for CW. 80s cold war era has alot of unexplored themes and places they could draw from.
But does this hold true for cold war? There are far fewer maps there, and it really feels like we're playing the same handful of maps over and over...
I did something recently in Cold War just to see what the maps where and the rotation. In a small sample size it can seem like its uneven, but over a longer time it averages out. It's like tossing a coin; get 4 heads from 5 tosses, the coin is "broken", or "lucky". Over a thousand tosses, different story. People tend to have "confirmation bias" in that once we believe something to be true, we will recall anything that supports that belief while ignoring anything that disproves it..
Yep i agree, from all the love and hate relationships i had with the game, maps and map rotation is not one, i miss a few maps that they removed, and i want back, but outside of that, map rotation and the maps available to play are the least of our concerns.

I don't think map rotation is a big issue either. The problem is the number of maps in the game. 10 years into a game you would think they would have a lot more maps available then what they do. If they could sell a map you would see a new one every month.
theres currently 56 maps in the Map Rotation
If you have been playing for 8 plus years and have played 60,000 rounds. that means you played every map around 1000 times. There should always be an influx of new maps to keep the game fresh. How many times can you play Himmelsdorf before it gets old?

Akways thought the map rotation was fine. Only time i get repeated maps is recently with new map drops and they increase the new map in rotation. Which CAN be annoying when i want to play a lifht tank in cold war and Freedom Falls is on repeat. But it IS nice that i dont play for 3 weeks before the new map finally randomly pops in rotation like it used to. As far as im concerned, the rotation is the least of our problems and im ok the way it is from a cold war standpoint. I would, however like to see maps visuals change. Add random weather effects or different times of day/night. Nearly every map is high noon without a cloud in the sky and that gets visually boring.
It’s easier to get repeat maps on coldwar.
I did a kind of similar video on my channel 2 months ago. It was mixed about the map quality and the map rotation. I was recording the data and real tanking maps are most rare in rotation. Prokhorovka, as one of the best maps in my opinion is the rarest in rotation. Same with other open maps. I have had some conclusions. Maybe you can check it out.

Soz bit long but Tbh, with u riki i personally Hate the new remasterd maps after 6.0 the old 360 & xbox one days had so many snaeky spots & over powered postoins ... serton postoins you cant even drive up to you just slide off 😂 i used to use these patched postoins in light tanks & mediums with good camo but cant anymore i feel like the maps always get changed to make it easier for new players ....like hills get lowered cover gets moved & hills you cant drive up .....these new Reworked maps restrict serton classes of tanks gives them less options i feel like the current maps thers not enough sneaky routes its always face to face combat they need to increase the size of serton maps so the battles acutely last longer than 4 min 😂
I dont know if its even possible but a nice feature to be added the game would be giving the right tanks the right maps ive lost count how may times ive been in maus or type 5 & i only get the biggest maps on the game or playing light tanks but i get put on himalsdof 😂 ...... so big maps mediums lights fast & armoured heavys fast tds & scummy arty & smaller maps for more armoured slow tanks so the battle is more of a brawl & people can acutely use there armour just a thought 😂 its not nice being in a type 5 on propicovka all the best for tank fest bro 🤜🤛
How bad is this game? Well some days amazingly awful. Just bounced premium round of my tier 6 Vk 30.01 m off the rear of a tier 5 T67. You would think after 9 years of this game, perfectly aimed over matched shots by literally 130 mm would pen, but you would be wrong. 😂
Well I definitely can tell you you’re talking rubbish. We played for 3 hours Saturday afternoon and we counted 5 times for swamp . And we noticed that cartoon tanks with no armour bounce shells and rockets more than any other tanks.
