I’m glad you mentioned fishing. That is my new favorite nanite farm method. I don’t really need them but I’m capped on units so nanites are my only option for wealth building. I’m trying to fill a pool with money like Scrooge McDuck.
Something I figured out the last expedition, if you stay in the expedition after finishing and just play the game like normal... research and upgrade everything, scan a bunch of stuff, discover new systems, run a fleet of frigates, do missions etc... when you finally are forced to finish, you get super hooked up. And you take the nanites and cash you earn with you so its never wasted effort. Last expedition, I played with a pretty new save... I clocked 550,000,000 space bucks, 3900 Quicksilver and 270,000 nanites. It was like winning the lottery. And I took a ton of mold balls I farmed back with me, along with really good tech modules to use and scrap for nanites. Plus you can clone your ship infinite times... you can make your entire hangar full of Gold Vectors. I have 10 Phontonix Cores from the Racer to install in all my ships. Its not a farm method, but its so worth doing, and you can farm nanites and money in the expedition too.
If you don't mind a bit of cheese, maxing out your rep with a species gets you a 50% discount when buying upgrades on the space stations. You can sell them back right there for profit. Maxing out your reputation with the explorers guild allows you to get free extreme and supreme upgrades. You can also sell them. Teleport to another station, rinse, repeat. The first one is cheesy, but doesn't require changing the settings, while the second one is completely legitimate, I think.
Pretty sure you are correct on both AND it is a newer feature this past year with the reputation discounts as well as the guild reps too. Nice idea! Thanks for the comment and suggestion!
Thanks for a great vid! My favorite ways are: A stack (10) Inverted mirrors yealds 950 nanites radiant shards (10) yealds 500nanites. Both found on corupted sentinel planets.. Refineing platinum also yealds nanites 285 for a stack(9999). Refine gold and silver to make platinum. (Mining bases can gather vast amounts of gold and silver that you can refine on your capital ship.)
@shmayazuggot8558 Pretty sure same goes for Permadeath too. Best is scanning all animals on multiple planets and also turning in discoveries to Ares in the Anomaly. Good point though! Thanks!
I discovered the other day that a Hyaline Brain cluster of 10 will give you 2300 nanites. How you decide to get 10 Hyline Brains is up to you of course 🤣
salvaged data breaks down fast, but really getting 4000 into any small refiner and duping the refiner with the nanites in it till you have what you want.
@@Traumglanz Good point and I could have sworn I addressed that (at some point). Yes, going "free" for everything is another way, but some like to do it the regular way at least one time through. After that, gloves off, my friend! lol! thx for the comment!

@@gwoody4003 THAT is an incredible boost for anyone. Fabulous advice. Thank you for sharing!

Simon! Thanks for the tips- completely forgot about our lovely corrupted sents. Of course!
Runaway mould is a no go for those in survival mode (refining stack is 250 max). Lava Core, Radiant Shards and sentinal modules are best.

@davidstratton9o5 indeed! Good one. Personally I would rather use them to find my next ship but excellent option
Derelict Freighters, Tainted Metal, 1:2 conversion rate.
@@mobspeak Yet another good one, and fun to do as well. Thank you!
Love the title.

@FFXIVBotMan Oh yeah, duping is definitely the way to go, but doing it *legitimately* is what some do especially at first. After that, dupe away! Thx!
I also like full animal scanning planets. 1500 to 4k per planet is easy when starting out
@@FFXIVBotMan most definitely. Easy nanites early game agreed
@@ElanPaul Why bother with duping when you can just go creative mode?

Peaceful? Nah. Farm sentinels. Sell the mods.
