Informative video! You also asked how did some of the viewers come across this bike and share their story.
I started riding sport bikes 10 years ago and learned how to ride by current or ex-racers. Gear and proper fundamentals was something they pushed. After developing my skills, doing a few track days and working at a local Motorsports dealership in parts. I was blessed w/ a company that would let us demo any used bike.
I came across the Warrior and rode it over my lunch. It unfortunately started raining heavily so that was a commented but short ride. That sparked my interest.
A few days later, rode the same bike again on a dryer day and pushed it in some off ramps and turns. The grin on my face, I will always remember.
After riding sport bike and hearing some of the negative vibes about cruisers. I figured I would always ride a sport bike.
After demoing this bike for a week, I told myself if I was ever to get a cruiser, a Warrior it would be. 10 years later and having the notion to actually look for one. I have been the proud owner of my very own, 03 Warrior..for about a week😊
My other bike is a 98 Suzuki TL 1000s custom built/modified not bought.
You are correct, the RS Warrior forum is very friendly and welcoming

I came to the Warrior from the sportbike world. I've gotten older and my bones don't tolerate being in that hunkered over position like back when I was younger. But I couldn't bring myself to be a bagger pilot. The Warrior to me is the perfect balance. Power, handling, braking., style, and sound. It may not win all of the speed matches, and lifting the front wheel I'll leave to younger folks, but it's a well balanced "do anything well" bike.

I've come really close to buying a few warriors. I just found a great deal on a Yamaha Raider which I'll probably keep because it's wicked fast, but I really think the warrior sounds better. It may be one of the best handling muscle cruisers ever made.

Hey thanks for watching and commenting. I have been taking a break and haven't replied to a comment in almost a year. Welcome to the Warrior family first off. As for the price on your bike, of course it depends on the mods, year, and condition. I'd say that is probably right around average for most of them from an individual, possibly even a little low. If yoh paid that from a dealer, you probably got a great price. Hope that helps a little. Thanks again and stay safe out there!

Did I hear you right? You said, we can get a Warrior for $2K or $3K? I have a 2007 Midnight Warrior with 4,670. I bought it for $14 K new and I will not sale it for $3K or$5K.

I am completely with you. I never understand why you see an immaculate Warrior, tons of upgrades, priced at five thousand and it sits for months. These bikes, to me, are worth more than what they go for. I picked mine up for 2000 dollars, and see them regularly for under 3000. Hopefully a few more years, more Warrior followers, and less bikes will make them more valuable, only time will tell. Thanks for watching and commenting brother. Stay safe out there!

Great review. I picked one up about 3 years ago. It is an 08 still in the crate midnight warrior. Zero miles. There are still some new one's out there. Your channel has helped me a lot on the mods and maintenance after long montana winters of not much riding. Thanks!

Awesome! I like to hear that the videos have been getting used and helping. That's what it's all about. I WISH I could have gotten one with zero miles. Know that it's been taken care of from day one and never have to wonder. I an religious about my maintenance and I still think about what they did to the bike before I got it. 🤣 I saw his wiring job on some of the stuff, so I definitely have cause for concern.

Nice review dude. I fell in love with the Warrior on the showroom floor back in I am guessing 2003. I was riding my kz 400 around and knew the limitations of it, and was just blown away. Pretty sure I wrecked the KZ not too long after that, on the way home from the easy riders rodeo.
That took me some time away and eventually i put a new sidecover on the kz and rode it some more, but the magic of riding kind of left for me, as I got distracted with my daughter, who joined us at 2005. So here she is about to turn 15 and I remembered the RUNE and started looking that up and remembered I bought a 84 goldwing aspencade to strip and make a bobber out of it, but it got stolen.
Eventually, I remembered the Warrior I think because of GD's channel while looking for RUNE stuff.
And I must say, I have fallen in love with it all over again. Better yet it is more affordable!
But like you said the parts are a problem, and I have looked elsewhere to compare, but as I am a homecare provider for my family, funds are limited, so I have to be wise about it all.
Looking for a deal where I need to clean some carbs or solve an issue with it and get it for around 1k, is my ideal.
I want to see this dream come to Fruition!
And due to them having so many similar bikes out there, I can see that happening!
And thanks to caring awesome folks like you that put it all on camera, and the folks in the facebook groups, and the forums, it should be a breeze! Thanks man!

Hey brother, thanks for watching and sharing your story with me. I've gotten rid of more than a couple bikes thinking I was done riding, and always come back. A few years ago I just decided that riding is one thing I'll always do, until my body tells me otherwise. You can definitely catch awesome deals on them, I've seen guy pick up bikes that need a little work for under a thousand dollars and have them going in no time. Mine was two thousand when I got it and it needed some work as well. It's come a long way since then, and still has a long ways to go. I'm actually looking into getting another sport bike myself in the next couple years and I'll be doing the same thing as you, looking for something needing work or even wrecked to fix up. Thanks again for sharing and I hope that you're able to get into another bike soon. Stay safe out there brother!

I absolutely love my '05 Warrior! After not riding since I was a teen its a wonderful bike to come back to. I acquired it in 2013 when I was 53. Speed, torque, control and yeah, even Harley riders compliment it. Mine is the flames model with Vance and Hines exhaust. There's nothing I would change. I did add a low windshield. I can ride it for days with comfort. Get one! My buddy loved mine so much he purchased a warrior Midnight... We went up to the Texas hill country and road the Three Twisted Sisters. No problem for the Warriors!

Would you say that this is the big brother of the 650 vstar custom? I’m trying to find something that handles and feels like my vstar 650 but with more. I’m looking at the raider and the warrior but I’ve never rode them. I’ve tested a 883 and it was terrible. Too stiff. I’ve been on the vstar 1300 and it was like riding a hippo on rollerblades. I want nimble and handling but just a bike that makes me feel like I’m riding my vstar 650 custom. Just makes me smile. Recommendation? Is the raider or the warrior the best upgrade? There’s none available in my area to ride.

Unfortunately it has a 210 on the rear and I've not read any real good about them except the looks. So I'll have to put on the stock 200 size sometime spring probably. I'm hoping to get the 260 upgrade next winter, of everything goes right. The wide tire makes these bikes look like a whole different beast. I appreciate you watching and commenting on the video. Stay safe out there brother!

Bought an 02 with 1,500 miles on it. Factory EVERYTHING. Factory engine and gear oil, tires, brake fluid, everything. Got the oil changed right away, got new tires, then couldn’t help myself and upgraded everything to leds. Still need to flush the brakes and upgrade to steel brake lines. Anything else I should be doing to a brand new 20 year old bike?

Hey, thanks for watching and commenting! Here is a link to a set of the bars that I have. They're barons 6 inch hot rod drag bars. I love the way they look and feel. However, the blocks hit the tank when the bars are fully cocked. You can get risers, or go with eight in and not have that problem. Personally, I installed felt pads on the bottom the blocks to guard my tank and left them. I love the way they look too much to give them up. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Hey, thanks for watching and commenting. First off, I will always try to sell someone on a Warrior. 😂 second, I don't think you'll go wrong with either choice. The Warrior is definitely big enough for a guy your size. My father is 6'3" and he rides his with the stock controls. You can get three inch extentions on them and you'd be perfect I'd say. May need to get a higher rise on the bars to keep you from hunching over the tank, but definitely a bike that can be accommodated to fit you. Hope you get one, and even if you get the Silverado, you'll have good rides on either one. Thanks again for watching. Stay safe out there brother.

Thanks for the review. I agree with all your comments. I have always like the muscle bikes, power cruisers or performance cruisers as they have been called. Previously I've had several bikes in the 750 range like Honda Magnas and CBS. I remember in those years between 2002 and 2007 when I wanted to buy a performance cruiser, and I was salivating thinking of owning one of those awesome machines. At that time I was thinking in buying one new, so I took a notebook and made my table considering the Honda VTX (1300cc and 1800cc), the Kawasaki Vulcan Mean streak, and the Yamaha Warrior. Those were the options for me because they all look fantastic and perform great. At the time I've read every magazine and internet review of those bikes and looked at the specs. After considering price, power, weight, and performance I came to the conclusion that the best combination of style, power, and weight was the Yamaha Warrior. The Mean streak was the best bang for the buck, and the VTX 1800 was the most powerful, but they lack a little power and were to heavy respectively. Although they all were great bikes. Unfortunately the Warrior was out of my possibilities at the time and I ended up buying a 2006 VTX 1300C. I really liked the 1300C, and I had a great time in it for four years until I was forced to sell it because I was moving overseas. In 2011 I was back and I bought a used 2006 Mean streak with an aftermarket nice exhaust, and it was an awesome bike, and was not lacking power. I've enjoyed that bike so much. It was a fantastic bike. Again for work reasons I ended up going overseas again and sold the Mean streak. Finally a year ago I've bought my Warrior and man I couldn't be happier. I've waited many years for it, but it's worth it. I love the Warrior. It's got character. It's like that bike is alive. Mine has an aftermarket Samson exhaust that sounds amazing. Such a deep powerful rumble. The sound and the vibration in the Warrior make me feel alive and puts a big smile in my face every time I turn it on. I enjoy the warrior so much. It's got enough power for me, and it's center of gravity is low, which I like. Even though I am not short at 6' 0" I really like the low center of gravity of the Warrior and the way it carries it's weight because it inspires me confidence. It's an amazing bike. Enjoy your bike if it's a Warrior enjoy it because it's an amazing bike. No bike is perfect, but the warrior is a fantastic bike. And if you have a different bike enjoy it too. That's all that matters. Great job Bryan.

Hey, thanks for watching and commenting! The wide tire kit has a few different options. Most guys go with KYLENV and you can find his kits on his website at Kylenv.com. He offers many sizes and finishes for your build. Another option is Blue Steel Customs. They offer wide tire kits and many other things for the Warrior. Last option that a lot of guys are doing that comes in a little cheaper, is a diy kit. You can use parts off of a Raider and Stratoliner, and mix and match the get a 240 on the rear. Comes in at about half the price of the other kits. Hope that helps out brother! Thanks again for watching and commenting. Stay safe out there!

They are both awesome machines. I've owned them both, and you will not be dissaponted with either one of them. The Warrior has a little more power, and feels bigger and meaner, but they both handle great, and are powerful enough. I like the Warrior a little more. Buy whichever you find a good deal on it, because you will love either one. If you ride two up, then the Meanstreak would be better in my opinion. But if you ride solo, I would choose the Warrior. My Meanstreak was the 1600cc but I 've heard the 1500 which are the ones from 2002 and 2003, lack some power, but I can't confirm that.

It kind of just depends. Milage, mods, condition, etc... If you're getting from a dealer, of course there is already a premium for that. I think for a dealer, that's a very fair price, as well as for one that has some decent mods from an individual. Mine was bone stock, and had a dented tank, so I was able to get it pretty cheap. Well, without any modding you can fit a 210 if you can find one. I wouldn't suggest it though. It will wear faster than a 200 will. Ends up bowing out the center because it squeezes it. You can also replace the stock swimgarm and wheels with ones from a Raider and put a 240 on it.
