This video is by far the best Yamaha Roadstar Warrior review on UA-cam. This guy goes into detail about WHAT IT'S ACTUALLY LIKE TO RIDE THE BIKE. Imagine that? Everyone else talks about doing their laundry, about traffic, the weather, then when it comes do describing the bike or what it's like, they don't have anything to say really. This guy compares the bike to other power cruisers, how it compares to big Harleys, etc. Thank you for your service sir.
wil gallivan I agree I have one now these days if somebody sees one they wonder what that is and do they still make them I have a 07 have people tried to buy mine not for sale and they like the way it's designed
I couldn't agree with more on how nimble the warrior is, I started on sportbikes and still have my 98 VTR-1000 superhawk and I felt right home when I took my first ride on my warrior, it's my bike till it stops or I stop. Joined the warrior forum and you get a real sense of Brotherhood from other riders of the same model as you. I like to plan a road trip with mine either to the beach or thru the blue Ridge mountains.
I couldnt help but laught at your story in this video. Almost exactly like mine, same bikes, same divorce and even the same size rider. I'm 6'4" and about 320 lbs. Thanks for the video.
Listen, I use to joke that the average age of a Buick owner was Deceased. My grandfather was a big lad like me, and he loved big cars. Its a 2005 Park Avenue with all the bells and whistles besides the supercharger (The Ultra). He special ordered this one in 2004 as a 2005 year model (The last for the Park Avenues) but rarely drove it. I inherited it in 2013 with only 23,000 miles on it. I drove it up until I bought a truck to move across the country to California, and when I sold it in 2019 it had only 65,000 miles on her. I never had any issues with the car. Super comfy, it had the upgraded sound system, it had the heads up display on the windshield that showed your speed and such, tons of room for people or things, got good mpg. Cheap to insure. I genuinely miss the car.
i have a blue 04 with the wind screen, leather saddle bags and a 2nd rider back rest, it still looks pretty good. i think it would look better without the wind screen but give up a little bit of looks for a bug catcher. I'm 6'5 and this is a great bike. I had an m109 also, another awesome bike.
Belt won't slip, but the clutch's are known to be a little weak. A Barnett clutch spring kit will make a big difference. I have my Road Star Silverado for touring and I've been thinking of getting a Warrior. Thanks for all the info.
I've always had a cruiser and a sport bike, but the problem I would run into is scraping the pipes and primary cover after riding the sport bike for a while. Conversely, after riding the cruiser, it would take a while to get back into leaning into turns on the sport bike. The Yamaha warrior allows one to ride the cruiser yet take advantage of the R1 suspension which might be what tips me into buying a warrior rather than a road star softail.
@@avatarquinn I'll never buy another HD. I picked up a Yamaha Raider a few months ago and while the foot pegs scrape sooner than I'd like, I don't have to concern myself with anything else getting damaged. The Japanese manufacturers simply design and engineer superior bikes.
I recently got a Road Star. I was very torn between the regular Road Star and the Warrior. As you mentioned though, I like doing day and weekend trips, and wind on the highway can suck without a wind screen. I didn't like the look of a lot of the screens for the Warrior, so I ended up with the Road Star. Probably will eventually own a Warrior also though. Hopefully. The engine is awesome. I absolutely love the Road Star look as well though.
@David Sanchez the Vrod is faster I think. I just didnt like the tapered look of the front end view from the seat, and the Vrod is twice the price. The Vrod is badass though.
I still use this setup! A Scorpion EXO Covert helmet, a GoPro Hero 5, and a Purple Panda lapel mic. Everything is attached to the face mask part that detaches from the helmet itself, making it very easy to change batteries or store it when stopped somewhere. It isnt the safest selection but looks cool and works perfect for POV Vlogging.
Great review. Question tell me more a out the road king special test ride. Was it a 107 or 114 cu? How did you like the ride? How does it compare to the warrior
I believe it was the 107. It was like riding a recliner down the road tied to the front of a freight train. Awesome bike to ride! A bit on the pricey side, but they do hold their value quite well. It did not get anywhere close to the Warrior as far as balance at slow speeds and corner approach and exit speed considering the angles arent as low as the Warrior. Then again, alot of riding is dependent on the rider skill level. Ive seen guys on Goldwings keeping up with Liter bikes in the canyons out here.
Yes! Tell him to order the 3 inch extension kit from Pacific Coast Star, they run around $90 but are 100% worth it for a taller rider! IF that still is too cramped for him, return the 3 inch kit and order the 5 inch kit. But start with the 3 inch kit.
Brittany Cato I don’t blame him tell him do not and I mean for real do not sell they are rare even if it’s a salvage bike it’s worth a lot I work for insurance and Iv seen thes for sale after a wreck and they are still worth big money
Good looking bike. If you haven’t yet check out the RSWarrior.com forums. Upgrade that seat for longer distance riding. I did a couple hour trip on the stock seat when I first got it and it was miserable. Switched the seat to a Corbin and now I can ride all day.

However, you can find a nice low mileage unmolested Warrior aplenty for under $5000, some careful, patient, shopping and some dickering and you can land some sweet deals on a sweet bike! Good luck!
It boiled down to personal preference. The M109R is faster, but the Warrior is much more nimble in the corners. The M109R is shaft drive, the Warrior is belt drive. IMHO the Warrior looks better. It put a bigger smile on my face riding it, so its the one I went with.
Lol, divorce is a funny thing. I rewarded myself with a Nissan 300zx, I already had/have a Mean Streak. Shoulda got a Warrior, but its an over all good bike. Now i want a Raider.
Definitely! When you are shopping for one, and of course this will involve personal preference, find a bike that has A. an after market seat with the stock seat, B. Saddlebags, Viking Bags are popular, C. An aftermarket exhaust, Vance and Hines sound amazing, and D. Isn't molested or has been laid down. Lots of guys do VBAK upgrades and Power Commander and that's fine, just be careful about a bike that has been rode hard and abused. If you can find a bike that someone else loved and spent a lot of money on accessories and tires etc, then that will save you lots of cash. Ok great sounds good. Just don’t want it to overheat Incase I ever get stuck but then again it won’t be my daily so screw it. I feel like these bikes are over looked and here in Florida these are rare since everyone drives Harley’s or other standard cruisers. They have a unique sound to them. Ride safe my friend.
Honda's VTX 1800 (1795cc/109ci), Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 (2025cc/125ci). Yamaha didn't have the biggest motor, but they engineered the frame was aluminum, the bike was lighter than the others. The Suzuki M109 was the last big bore muscle bike until Triumph's Rocket 3. The Harley Vrod was the smallest motor but, made by Porche...water cooled ...fast. before these, Honda had the Magna and Valkyrie, and Yamaha had Vmax
In my opinion, no. While I do think that rider ability and skill varies from rider to rider, and certain people will gravitate towards being a good rider, this is a heavy and powerful bike. I always suggest a learner bike of around $2000 and below 1000cc. Buy it in the Winter when they are cheapest, early Spring get your license and do all required maintenance, and Learn to ride and put some miles on it until next Summer. Sell it at end of Summer, then in Winter again step up IF you so desire. Another riding season my be required for some riders to really get comfortable with riding and learn where their boundaries are. A perfect beginner bike is a Honda Shadow.
@@TheJakobLott Sounds like it, if they are aren't abused. Go look at the bike before committing to it, look it over. Any frayed brake lines? Rust? Dents? Crank it up, does it idle well? How does the owner other belongings look? Trashy yard with trashy truck? Ask about service history, how often the oil is changed. Look at the wear on the belt and the teeth on the belt drive. Look at the tires and note a few things, the wear, the brand, and do they match front and rear? Anything missing or broke? Is there an aftermarket exhaust? What kind of seat? If they will let you ride it, then ride it, slowly, shifting smoothly, how does it feel? Any weird feelings, vibrations, sounds, etc could mean deeper issues. Now look for leaks, sometimes a bike will leak a TINY bit because its been sitting, and just needs to be rode. Does it come with extra goodies? Sattlebags? Windscreen? Power Commander? Consider everything before committing to the purchase. Look at and ride two or three, and pick the best option. If you only look at one, you are not getting the best deal. Keep in mind what the Warrior is all about, storming around town and curves. Not 400 mile trips, not with the stock seat atleast. The Warrior is a fantastic bike! You will love it! You can order foot extensions if you are tall like me and find it a bit cramped. Either 3 inch or 5 inch. I am 6'3" and have 3 inch.

Is it possible to be a beginner bike
Cameron Gates no this is not a beginner's bike not trying to be smart but it's not ride safe I have one
What did you pay ?
Some horse swapping, $2500. You can find some amazing Warriors for under $4000
QuinnUltra I’ve got two I’m looking at for $3800. 2006 and 2007 models. One has 7k miles! Good deals?
I am 6'3" and have 3 inch.
i just bought a 2005 and boy I love it I paid 3500 can you please text me back and tell me if I got a good deal
You love it, thats all I needed to hear! Good deal!
First of all , nice video! Love the exhaust on it,popping is really nice and catches everyone attention, very nimble and it takes curvy roads perfectly. Definitely my favourite choice .Check out my warrior Bro and subscribe!
