Hahahaha I LOVE you! I’m so glad I came across this video...I have been criticized my entire career (15 years) for being slow at every salon I’ve worked at...but my work is meticulous AF...I just recently opened my own studio and my work, especially the longevity, speaks for itself. I do exactly what you do...I don’t rush, I don’t damage, and I take the time to pick thru if needed its tedious but in the long run SO much more worth it.

I’m a really slow foiler too so thank you for making me feel better! I feel self conscious some times because everyone else at my salon is way faster than me but some of them have told me they can see the difference and how much better it looks than doing minimal foiling or rushing through it. But I do know I need to charge more because I am one of those people that has a hard time telling people higher prices. Especially being in a new city and regrowing my clientele from scratch!

I'm having trouble bc Ive turned a dirtyish blonde after having children, when I used to be a natural bright blonde. I've had it highlighted a few years ago and I've tried home kits since then. It's not easy doing your own hair especially when you have no background experience. I also feel like my hair isn't bright or pretty enough and I'm kinda binging videos trying to find or at least look for an idea. I wish you were near me because you definitely sound like you know what you're talking about and I don't know a hair stylist personally so it's hard to feel comfortable trying to think the stylist knows what she's doing for your hair type. Good job!
