No castor based oil on the shelf?
I read the castor based oil offers really good protection for accidental overheating situations or hot running air cooled 2 strokes. Since the castor oil actually gets thicker & coats more. The hotter it gets, instead of getting thinner or completely burning 🔥 away causing a no oil- metal to metal wear situation. Like non castor based oils will once they reach a certain temp.
Many dirt bike riders say they use cheaper non castor in their water cooled bikes & the castor in their air cooled bikes for protection.
Apparently the downside of castor is it gums up the engine quicker. Needing cleaned more & the price. But on a little engine that's easy to take apart. It shouldn't be a big deal. Some oils are a mix of castor & synthetic. I'm gonna buy some for summer. I think anyone that has a Phantom85 prone to overheating should probably invest $25 in a cylinder head temp gauge &/or use a castor oil. Apparently the Avenger 85 with a stock head likes to get really hot really fast.
That's enough of the long winded comments for now.

I actually have a gallon of klots super techniplate not in the video lol. It’s 20% castor. And your 100% accurate, it does an excellent job of lubricating and not burning off. It’s downfall is it will leave a thick carbon buildup that is a pain to remove from the engine components vs the typical carbon buildup that we see in synthetic oils burning in these engines.
