One of my favourite characters to voice! The end of Jedi Council: Acts of War strongly implies, at least in my opinion, that the yellow saber Plo carries in some sources is actually that of his fallen colleague Micah Giiett.
One of the first toys that I got from Attack of the Clones was Plo Koon in action and wielding blue Force energy from one of his hands. Since then, he has remained a favorite of mine as I would role-play as him when playing lightsaber battles with friends and made the character of Jaden Korr look like him in Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. It would be a while before I would read about him in the comics. It's a shame that he didn't get as much focus in the books as other Jedi. It would be really interesting to read of a Jedi task force composed of him, Kit Fisto, Aayla Secura, Ki-Adi Mundi, Luminara Unduli, Barriss Offee, Depa Billaba, and led by Mace Windu.
Plo Koon is one of the most underrated Jedi ever, not only was he for me the 3rd most powerful clone wars Jedi, but he's the only Jedi to of defeated Yoda in a Lightsaber duel. He could also use force mind trick on 20 people at one given time, he also had many other spectacular force feats such as force judgement and force telekinesis in which he was able to pull down an entire cliff, he also had 363 years (I think that's how old he was when he died) of experience, he is truly one of the most powerful Jedi to of ever lived and deserves more credit.
I love this new version of this series. The fact that you’re sitting next to a campfire while telling us the story of these characters just feels really awesome
Thank you for this, Plo Koon has always been my favorite character as the main way I started was with watching the prequels and reading comics, i loved seeing his role in the clone wars and appreciate that he was Dave Filoni’s favorite as well
I love the little animation on the side with the fire crackling audio. I like falling asleep to star wars lore videos and that is a very nice touch for that
It would have been nice if Koon had spoken out for Qui-Gon when he told them about Maul. All of the council just not believing in a sith, despite feeling Tenebrou's masters announcing the sith long ago and the fact that there tons of ways how the sith could return is silly. The prison comic with Koon and Fisto felt really badly written, no jedi master should think it is okay to slaughter prisoners, especially when you take jedi history into account where far worse people have been rehabilitated. A really flawed understanding of jedi morality those lines would fit a conflicted Cade, Quinlan or Ulic but no master who is supposed to have his shit together.
As always, this is a beautifully crafted video! Amazing work! I’m really liking these “Story of” videos. It’s crazy how talented some of the writers for Star Wars Legends were. They somehow made each Jedi different and compelling even though they’re “supposed” act the same, do the same things, and not form attachments. The Verses series is what made me fall in love with the channel, but I wouldn’t mind a few more of these
@@ripmax333 He also alongside two other council masters was unable to hit Yoda with a stick in another training session despite it being 3 on 1 and in a small space. He was definitely well below Yoda.
You should totally do a series of these. Just like this. Just go down the list. Council members, all canon and legends Jedi and Sith. It would a lot of work, but it would be definitive.
Plo was shown with one more Lightsaber colour, the comic "Machines of War" shows him weilding purple. Note that Machines of War was released by the same people who made the comic where he is in the Jedi Temple without his mask on.
Hello what do we have here? Another Story Of? And of Plo Koon? Reti4 get over here quick! Really solid delivery and execution on this one Evannova95.
