I used drum monitors for years, inc the Laney Theater TM300P.
I have also used the Laney AH80 Audio hub.
I now use headphones in my local praise band.
    Works for me....

I have my drums in our band training room, they are connected to the PA system but I still like to have headphones connected to an output from the PA system. It’s particularly useful in a gig when you are sitting at the back as you have all guitars and mics directly to your head phones. The monitors sound great by the way but I think you were exaggerating a little with the headphones cable over your face 😊

I own the v-moda M-80, the predecessor to the XS, and they sound fantastic. However, they’re an on ear design. Although the M-100 are a more colored, bass enhanced headphone, I can see how that sound signature could be advantageous and/or inspiring when monitoring yourself playing along with a track, and how well the over ear design would feel for long sessions.
The build quality is exceptional, and the customer service is amazing. 5 dollars got my headphones sent out, fixed, and sent back, even a year after the warranty expired.

Im actually using an old harmen kardon amp and polk speakers at home. 1/4 to rca adapter is all I needed. Not portable but works at home.

Thank you! I live in an appartment on the 4th floor so at least until I see that I realy stick to the E drums and don't bother annyone, could I use the
sound sistems from a PC like a 24w 2.1 or an 80w 5.1 sistems? And if hiting the drums makes a noice that is at the margin in an appartment, what volume are we talking about in the speakers if they have to cover the initial clapping? I'm not a fan of headphones.

Headphones all the way. Especially nice studio headphones. I hate the tapping sound over the drums and clacky of the cymbals. Just gets in the way of hearing the small hits and nuisances. You hear the music so much better.

I was watching this video because I was considering buying the in ear monitors by Drumeo they have some dope tripple driver ones I wanted to see if I could use those as studio headphones
I just got my first drum kit and I went with the alesis crimson II
So I was hoping those in ear monitors would work bc I have a giant head and I can never find a set of headphones that fit 😂 they never go down far enough the bottom of my eats are hanging out so it obviously makes the seal around the ear 👂 useless
At 40 I’m finally learning the drums I spent the last six months on practice pad and a kick drum practice pad just learning fundamentals
Anyway thanks for taking the time to read

Sony mdr-7506. Studio standard for years and rebuildable. Behringer keyboard amps are advertised as amp/ pa. Has more adjustments than normal amp.

What about Amp or audio interface with monitors, for home use.

Would you recommend marshall major 3 for an electric drum kit? I'm thinking of buying one for my drums

Thanks for the upload. Any recommendations on what to do to keep the headphones cable out of your way? No matter what I try to do the cord is always in my way. Thanks.

What headphones would you suggest? For cheap and more high end ones?

There is also an option of studio monitors for using with the e drums which in my understanding is much more better than a single drum monitor. They are stereo and the sound quality much better.

HELP- I want to use both headphones and amp YET I’m blasting my ears. I’m ‘new’ at this. I want to blast through my amp and yet lower the volume in my ears. Is my only option wearing ‘ear plugs’ as well? I hope I made sense.
