Those definitely would be good with the apple pie filling because the cinnamon sugar is already sprinkled on the shells. I love that cherry pie filling, too. I add a lil lemon juice or extract & a lil sugar for a lil extra razzle dazzle.
This is looks delicious. I will try this with Strawberry and put some graham crackers crumbs on the bottom and the top and add some cool whip. Great idea for cool summer dessert ❤

Those shells have levels. It depends on, what texture you like. If you turn them over on paper towel, after they come out, they wont hold the oil. Interesting

Sopapilla it’s a fries flour tortilla. It’s supposed to puff up. Look it up it’s a popular Spanish dessert pastry. You completely coat it in cinnamon sugar and some make a caramel type syrup and drizzle that on it.
