      Down turned and hooded eyes are the ugliest most unattractive eyes. You can have big eyes but the moment it is down turned or hooded, they don't look good. Down turned eyes make someone look like the shrek donkey. Look at Anne Hathaway. Also , according to face reading, men with down turned eyes have tendencies to be murderers or commit crimes. That's just superstition too...but having watched forensic files, I find many of the guilty have these ugly down turned eyes...
      Hooded eyes are bad ...for girls. You cant line your eyes because your skin folds down and covers everything you've done.
      The best eyes are upturned ones. The best. Most attractive, sexy and youthful.

    I've always admired those with deep set eyes sooooo much cos their eyes seem to pop..and they have an already contoured line on the lid which makes eyeshadow application on the crease and cut crease so easy to achieve, unlike us with the hooded eyes..where we have to look down and check where the line of our eyeball ends..

    I've heard/seen/read a theory about why wide-set eyes are preferable; because of our, relatively, recent strong dependence upon horses and resulting effects on our ideas of what is beautiful. Interesting theory, I thought.

      I'll have to think about that when I see someone in high heeled shoes. I always thought the purpose of heels were two-fold; to give the calf/leg a more shapely appearance and for the viewing pleasure of whoever was walking behind the wearer. Ah...the things that pass through my mind in an average day. Hmmm..is right!

      I think people think wide set eyes are prettier/ desirable because lots of models have wide set eyes. They tend to photograph well, but I think in real life they have a rather alien-esque look.

    I don't like how this guy first off, whenever he's doing one of these videos tells us what his face or nose or eye shape is, and his is always the most perfect shape. He's too into his own looks, and also isn't even normally what he says. Like with face shape he claimed he's oval, and he's more round. I also don't like how he seems to tell certain people that their shape is the best, no one's is best. Everyone needs to do something to help themselves out. Asian eyes are definitely not the best or most versatile. Wide set eyes look really weird, and it's only by opinion if someone thinks they are pretty. I know in the celebrity world sure, weird looks are sought after, but not in the real world where we don't only focus on weird looks. Next he's going to tell us that one hair color or type is better than all the others, and I'm sure he'll have it too.

    • @pppearled
      @pppearled 10 років тому +16

      Hey saying "Asian eyes are definitely not the best" is actually super racist. I know that's your opinion and I know certain eye shapes are more common within certain ethnicities, but maybe think a little before you say shit like that.

      He gave pros for every kind of eye shape, and he never said that one was better than the others. He's just giving people with different eye shapes ways that they can accentuate their eyes in the best way possible without detracting from each shape's individual beauty. Simmer down.

    Thank you SO much for this video. I have hooded, protruding eyes due to an eye condition called Graves disease. I refused to wear eye makeup because everyone was trying to do makeup for their eye shape on my eyes. When it would end up looking hideous, they'd look at me with this pitiful "I'm sorry" face. Your video was wondrously thorough and accurate. Now I can wear eye shadow and mascara with confidence. You are the best makeup vlogger I've EVER watched and I'm unsubscribing from all others

    Funny, how you can look yourself in the mirror every day and still not notice so much! I went through my past Facebook photos after watching, and only then did I examine my eye shape for the first time. This video, and your subsequent videos on eye shape, have helped me to see how my close-set eyes were sometimes being accentuated in the wrong ways. Thanks, Wayne! Now, if only the makeup artist I used for my wedding had not used so much white sparkly eyeshadow near the bridge of my nose...!!

    I have learned so much from this video, I thought that by art study many years ago, I was able to replicate the light, and dark, or chiaroscuro principles on skin. Now, on aging skin, it's a bit more difficult!.....but the concepts hold true. I loved this video, and for my daughter who has the protruding eye. (like Amanda Sigfried).....this will be a great asset to a woman who does not like to wear makeup, and could be stunnng. Thank you so much.

I find that most of the makeup artists around here that I like have the complete opposite eye shape than I do (I have close-set hooded protruding eyes, my lids come out farther than my brows, so weird!).
