      I wear glasses, but my eyes are so bad that I can't see without them, at all! My trick? Line with them on! and get a long pencil :3 There are some that don't require sharpening; you just twist them and wonderful, fresh liner is there (yay!)
      It takes a little practice and you kinda dab with the pencil instead of drawing, but it's very quick and clean^^ (AND! Bonus, you can still see what you're doing! :p)

    It's a great tip, especially if you're already running late, because it doesn't take much time, but it takes practice. The first time I've done it, it looked like crap... seriously, the line was way to high and not continuous... but once you got the feeling for it, it really works well!
    There's also a great way to make your eyelashes look more curvy and long if you have short, straight eyelashes. There are brushes for your lashes that work with heat, but they are expensive and so I got the idea to use my hair blower to give a little heat to my eyelash curler (not to hot, I hold it under the blower for around 10 secs) and then use it regularly. I hold it for about 30 seconds (like the guy in the video) and (for me and my lashes) it works sooo much better than just using the normal 'cold' eyelash curler! And it's easy to do (I assume every girl has a eyelash curler and a blow dryer, so you don't need to buy anything for it) and doesn't take much time.
    If you have short and straight lashes, maybe you would like to try this. For me it works! =)

    Wayne, I absolutely love this eyeliner technique. Thanks for sharing this with us........ im getting older, I'm 53 now and my vision is rapidly deteriorating . This is exactly what I needed to ensure that I was putting my makeup on properly. I remember when I was in my twenties and I rented a little apartment from a nice lady in probably her late eighties . You could tell that the lady tried so very hard to look good by dressing nicely and applying makeup even at her age... Unfortunately , her vision was terrible too , and she would always line her lips WAY above her upper lip and she did something horrendous with her eyeliner , merely because she could not see. I approached her very gently and kindly and began assisting her with her cosmetics until she passed away several years later. I have been reminded of that now that my eyes are getting bad. .. I, so far , have no one to help me, but your technique will really help me Wayne. I thank you...

    I've been a makeup artist for almost 50 yrs. & never heard of this! Some people truly "can't draw a straight line". This would be great for them. Do you not work the curler down the lash to get a curve rather than a kink? I start close to the base, move to about the middle of lash, squeeze again, then closer to the tip for the 3rd squeeze. This gives me a more natural look.

    • @vblackwell3347
      @vblackwell3347 3 роки тому +3

  • @cheribeck1960
    @cheribeck1960 8 років тому +5

    Hi Wayne, I don't know if this is a "tip" or not, but I have had an epiphany concerning false eyelashes. I see in every tutorial about applying false eyelashes that you apply the adhesive to the lash, then apply the lash to the lash line. For me this always ended up a big sticky mess! If the eyelash hits my lid then I have glue there. My tweezers always gets sticky and then the lash will only stick to the tweezers...I found that if I take the adhesive that comes with a small brush, such as Revlon, I just apply it like it's eyeliner, wait a minute, apply the lash and bingo its on with no mess- right above my lashes! They turn out perfect. I know this is kind of a no-brainer but I never hear anyone give this tip. This is great for newbies!!!

    If you have trouble putting on liner, find a matte black eyeshadow (or any color you want) and apply along your lashline using a q-tip from the outside in towards the inner corner. Then you can leave it as a sharp line or smoke it out using a smudging brush. I haven't used regular eyeliner on myself or a client in 15 years unless they request a cat eye which surprisingly is rare.

      I really think eyelash curlers are a must. They open up your eyes and make your lashes look great. This is an interesting tip and makes a great guide if you want to go over it again with your eyeliner afterwards.

    You have single handedly fixed a problem I've had for decades...I wear contacts so pencil eyeliner is out as it messes with the lenses...gel or liquid used to not be a problem but as I got older being steady handed was an issue..so I just quit wearing it altogether...now I can give this a try...Thank You.

    You are so much fun to watch! I'm going to have to really look through your videos and see if maybe, just maybe I can finally figure out a way to use foundation of some sort without it looking wretched. I've tried it all, I swear, every trick, primer, moisturizer, pore minimized, every type of foundation, but textured skin and large pores are killing me! My 1st attempt will be powder before foundation, just watched that one. Wish me luck, I need it!

    When I was a teenager, the leftover mascara on my eyelash curler would just line my eyes for me. It's amazing that I never had a stye until I was in my twenties and started cleaning my curler and using waterproof mascara after curling to hold the curl. I struggle still with getting eyeliner on after because I have ridiculously long lashes. If I do it before however, I find my curler rubs the liner off if I don't want long enough, so I'm going to try this. Thank you!
