I love your videos. I learn so much. I’ve been at “this” since ‘72. I live in chronic pain so my “studio time” is limited. I don’t really get that pumped up anymore. However, watching YOUR videos gets me excited and want to push through the pain and get to work.
When I first started using Cubase, I used a bunch of third-party plugins. Now, thanks to you, I realized that everything I need for music production is in Cubase 11 PRO. Many thanks to Dom!
Cubase´s onstock Mod Machine is absolutely a great unique sounddesign tool! ... with this I have made so many great effects like dark Tape Delays, Time Filter Dub Delays, Madonna´s Frozen (Drums), e.g.
I really appreciated your comment about creative play with effects, sounds, etc. It's a huge part of my journey working on music, too. Your enthusiasm is awesome and infectious! Thank you
I've spent hours with the Modulation Delay having so much fun, especially with electronic music and sound design. Just use the automation and dive in. This video is so helpful to go on.
Minor mistake I believe at 6:44 when you're explaining the signal flow. There is no parallel input that goes into the filter; if you look at the direction of the signal flow arrows, you'll see that line comes *OUT* of the delay and feeds back through the drive, feedback, and then the filter control to be merged again with the input signal going into the delay.
ModMachine (try combining it with MorphFilter automating its A & B filters, particularly for transition between sections) is your moment to shine Creatively at the end of your mixing on a track. It is truly amazing this is a stock plugin. Great video Dom! ❤
I can advise every beginner to turn Cubase inside out, best with the help of the manuals, before drowning in all kinds of additional plugins and instruments. It's the restrictions which make the best recordings, not the distractions...(hobbyist opinion). And Cubase has very little restrictions already 😄
I was not even aware of this plug-in! I love how you demonstrate the extremes of the capabilities. This is where the fun is and drives creativity! Thanks again.
Thanks for the video Dom I like the breakdowns of these plugins it helps the inspiration process I don’t know if you’ve done one already but a walk through of the quadrafuzz v2 might be fun
@16:39 I couldn't have put it better Dom. Admittedly, Mod Machine was way under my radar. Much thanks to you and fellow Cubasers for highlighting this hidden gem amigo, just in time for my next project🙏🖤
Thanks Dom this was my first contact with this plugin but I will experiment with it at the next opportunity. Another great video from you. Thank you please keep it up.
Hi Dom, another great vid, thank you! P.S. This is Greg from southern California; I emailed you about NAMM a few weeks ago, and I had a very nice chat with Blake from Yamaha yesterday (at the NAMM show in Anaheim). After asking him about the future of the Montage synth ;-) ... I brought up your name and he mentioned you were not at NAMM this month. I gave you and your vids (especially the ones about Yamaha synth gear and Cubase) a huge compliment to Blake. Maybe we'll seeya at NAMM next year. With respect and appreciate, Greg.
Hey Dom, thank you for taking into consideration the votes and wishes people leave in the comments section below your videos. This video and your explanations were again very valuable. Most epic moment in this video is you celebrating sound design and playing with sounds in general with the use of plugins. I can perfectly relate. I mean playing around with a plugin like Mod Machine or Basslane Pro, is very much like opening a Christmas present as a 5 year old.
Dom, Love your Videos. Thank you for always being happy (in the videos of course). Helps me when I am not happy some times. So I learn Cubase aaaand get happy. Wow. Thank you really!
I'm definitely going to revisit this plugin tomorrow. I remember it was a bit heavy on the CPU which is annoying for me🤞☕ Gotta love Dom's enthusiasm and many of you ECHO that opinion😆!!
Hi, discovering your videos I learned a lot about Cubase, thank you! I would like to ask you something, to create the wow & flutter effect and various imperfections, typical of lofi music, is it better to use the Mod Machine or create a preset with the Modulation FX? I've tried both but I can't decide which one is more believable... Have you ever tried to do this?
Hi Dom, nice video as always. I have one question. Way back you were testing Mac as your primary workstation.. If i am not wrong you are still using your PC? So what's your opinion about that at the end? Cos there is always plus and minus about all that stuff.. Another thing is audio interfaces, i saw you are using AXR4, but what you think about that topic?? (For Pc, and for Mac, because there is huge differecenes as we can see) Stay good bro!
By the way, I knew it tickled you when you scratched the back of your head, with your face looking like the cat that got the cream (8:40). it's a joy to see!
What laguage is this written in? "Range Lo/Hi - Set the range of the filter frequency modulation. Both positive (for example, Lo set to 50 and Hi set to 10000) and negative (for example, Lo set to 5000 and Hi set to 500) ranges can be set. If tempo sync is off and Speed is set to zero, these parameters are inactive and the filter frequency is controlled by the Freq parameter instead."
Hello Dom. Can you please tell me if there is a way to call a specific plugin window using hotkeys? I'm coming from Ableton Live, it has the ability to assign any key to call the plugin window. Usually I assigned hotkeys that were convenient for me to call analyzers on the master, this is very convenient. But I don't find a similar way in Cubase.
@@nononame113 If you do any mixing for other artists, then you've got to get used to that. Looping passages over and over trying to tweak them even if you personally don't like the vocal. This is what can sometimes make mixing a difficult chore.
@@sunpointstudio4472 Been there and done it. Worse still, that was back in the days of tape only. I'm a fossil. For UA-cam tutorials like this, it isn't necessary to re-use the same passage so often. I think it detracts. But this is just my opinion, of course.
@@nononame113 Hi, fossil here too. For me, having the same vocal, I feel I have a reference to what this plug-in can do vs another and/or with another. It's just a thought but, personally, I feel I see some value in using the same vocal in a few videos, rather than having every single time a new one. Let's not forget, Dom has done way too many videos, and in the bigger picture, there is really a variety of vocals, to demonstrate other plugins and tutorials. As a last thought, this is a popular channel, I am only guessing there must be some forward thinking and considerations about what samples Dom decides to put out there (copyright etc).
I was one of many who asked for this, and you brilliantly responded. Thank you soo much!

This plug-in is going to be a staple in my send effect list from now on 🤘

fantastic tutorial, many thanks, i cant wait to check out this plugin on the weekends when working on my sessions!
Very interesting. Thank you Dom, as always.
Excellent explanation. Thanks!
Excellent. Your closing comments are notable.
Thanks Dom! great video!
Dom is the best!
Thank you for this, Please kindly give us a tutorial on how to vocode in Cubase with a vocoder plugin, synth and a vocal signal, Thank you.

Nice....thanks Dom 👍😀
Oh yeah, you really doing this!
I think after this video I won't be scared to use this plugin))
Of course I am! you asked for it
Thanks Dom

Thanks for the vid. Can you tell me where the Vocal is from? I know it from the Artist „The Ambientalyst“
Amazing video 🔥
Can you please tell me the best time stretch algorithm in cubase for Drum loops please?
The Don👌🎶
MusicLab now have a decent guitar range with FX and amps. Be good to see your response, or even a review.

Just finished re-reading it 50x. All/almost makes sense now.
My personal opinion, this plugin is far superior to the Valhalla delays. Cubase stock for the win!
I think this modulation delay replace many other delay plugins.
You are awesome sir
Thanks
So now automate all the knobs and a new banger is almost ready! ;)
dam this is the best delay plugin I have and I have a few!
Cool Plugin
Can you imagine if we could create macros to combine the various parameters... then being able to automate the macros...
connect the moog sound to this see the results....crazy
stay with the person who sees you as Dom sees Cubase
😂😂😂
Insane, I think I am going to retire soundtoys hahahah

Hi Nick! This is not possible- you can use user presets for this.
@@DomSigalas Hey Dom do we in cubase Pro have a EQ that can do Mid / side EQ . or a set of tools we can use to achieve this type of mixing ?
@@DomSigalas I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by user presets.
@@nickw2726 Not User presets , just the specific Eq to use to hit the Mid/Sides .
@@parabot2 Frequency does mono, stereo, or mid/side per band.
It's not so bad.

Why again that horrible vocal? Why Dom? 🤮
Great video as always, but I have to say hearing this same clip again is hard going for me. I know it's only for demonstration but...
