Great Dom. 5 excellent ideas to improve voices. Really, inside Cubase there are tremendous amount of solutions, even without using 3rd party plugins. Thanks a lot.
Good video as alway Dom, You prop know that if you click on the audio file, there is an option top right in the object box to adjust the pitch & transpose of the audio file, guess the plug in works best if your audio file is chopped into different takes :)

Cloner is an amazing tool. Not only for vocals, but good on percussions and bass as well, even if it's a bit risky, you know. Just a couple of days ago I used it in a mix where I had a synth bass that needed some widening in the mid range. I did a shootout bewtween Eventide H910 [legendary plugin which I use since ages] and Cloner: well, I went for Cloner this time. Thx for the video Dom.
Great video bro..One thing that beats me when recording vocals is this..All my sessions are at 1024 441khz. and when im done with the instruments and lastly wanna record vocals,i have to reduce the buffer size to 512 because of latency issues when recording vocals, but then my daw crashes after restarting it..
Do the vocal production in a separate project, and when you are finished export it as one single wav file or as separate stems and import it back to the instrumental project. I do this every time.
Yo dom. I use cubase 12 AI as it was a free DAW with my steinberg ur44c. I'm a bit lost on whether to use direct monitoring or not. My project are pretty small compared to most people. So computer power is not a problem. The problem I'm having is that while inside cubase recording a rap I don't hear the effects like the delay I use until I finish recording and switch the monitor button off on the audio track. I have a software mixer that comes included with the ur44c and that comes with a few plugins and morthing channel strip. Should I effect the mic line in the mixer and would that be recorded on the audio track. What I normally do is add a bit of delay on the inserts in cubase. Record my takes. Then take the effects out of the insert to bring it back to dry. Can someone help me out with the solution to this or dom should do a quick video as it will help me out and I bet ya more cubase users are thinking the same. Thank you

Is there a way to have a Second Timer , running in minutes and seconds , that runs from the Left Locator ? ( wherever that marker may be set ) I can't seem to find one anywhere and it would be Really useful for my Cubase work .
I wonder if you can help me convert an MP4 file so that will load into Cubase on an audio track? How is the MP4 file converted and do I need to use another program. I prefer using Cubase and my MP4 file is in iTunes. Wishing you and your family the very best thank you in advance Peter Reynolds.

Surprised nothing is mentioned about mono compatibility. Half of these techniques can ruin the phase correlation of the vocals.
