Met all of you guys at the bike festival. Was a blast! Riding with Martyn was the cherry on top 👊🏻 There’s one thing indent get. I only saw Blake on a full sus, so where did the hardtail come from? Did you guys go back after the festival? Then again these a clip from Anita in it so that was shot at the festival…. So confusing 😂
It constantly amazes me how you consistently put out such awesome content on basically a daily basis. Awesome work from all the people on the GMBN team!
Thanks, Elliot! We really appreciate the support! We have a huge team behind the scenes to put these videos together! We're stoked you're loving the content!
Thanks for the great footage . sure you guys had a blast . When will you grace us in Cape Town and check out all our amazing trails. Well worth showcasing what we have in the Western Cape of South Africa . Cheers guys and thanks you all for another amazing episode
The region certainly is one of the best regions in the alps, due to a variety of trails. The potential in the alps is still immense and further areas woke up to tap into the MTB market. btw. the riding of the "long dude" significantly improved since he is in Saalbach ...Kudos 🙂
Saalbach have a similar challenge for the snow enthusiasts! 60km of piste. Me and a mate just about did it this Feb. Awesome place in Summer and Winter
i'm off to Chamonix for a week of mountain play -walking, vi ferrata, huts, beer. any recommendations for MTB rental and rides in that valley (we are car-less, so can't pop over to morzine)
Hiya! Yep one ticket gets you round all of this! Check out the Saalbach website, as there's discounts and such on offer, but it's a pretty reasonably priced ticket given everything on offer
Is it just me or does every mountain biker busting out a big manny pretend they're blipping the throttle on a Suzuki RM 250? I am sure I heard Blake or Rich busting out the sound effects. 😜👍 Awesome looking trails there in Austria. As usual Blake was clocking up the frequent flyer miles. The wall ride was epic, Rich held it beautifully. Good to see the Auf Deutch boys getting in on the action too. Great video guys. How much punishment do you guys put your camera crew through? Now that would be a great behind the scenes video.
Brother's and sisters, I asked for prayers, and I do not want to ask again, but I just lost my little cuz on a rocket!. Please pray again. He was only 28 yrs old. Y'all Two in one week is tough for me. Tour was great guys. Thanks
We got two of these for our daughters ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L the same size for age 6 and 9. It works very well for both girls. Gears were very easy for them to learn. Changing gears up takes some hand strength and is a bit hard, but they are learning. They did not come with water bottle holders- we actually got confused and thought the Derailler Guard was the bottle holder!! Regardless of these details, the bikes are fantastic- even our six year old who only just learned to ride bikes caught on within an hour of practice and loves it. Lightweight and easy for them to handle. All the parts are in excellent condition and the bikes are easy to assemble and very well packaged. Great choice for kids!
Love the bike design ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube. All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
Saalbach is land of wasted opportunities. So many mountains with fast gondolas to get you up, but sooo boring trails to get you back down. Only interesting trail is Bergstadl, others are just meh, braking bumps everywhere and if there aren´t braking bumps, there are "sweet" artificial rock gardens to make sure your hands never rest. And don´t forget those steep logging roads that connect bits of trails. They are also excellent, that is unless you crash at 80clicks an hour. Then they are not so sweet I guess. You want proper alpine style bikepark, Leogang is only 30km from there, much better trails, a lot more variety and also better maintained. Schladming is also on a whole different level.
I'm gonna sound so complainy and I'm sorry! But I love your videos and this one is epic, but do you realise it would be infinitely better without the 10 year old dubstep music?! just play some music people actually enjoy :D but again, mega video!
How about putting the worst riding crew member on a bike and give us a Mediocre riders impression of these trails. u guys are so good we sort of miss out on a 'Real Rider' impression. (that's my excuse for my rather mediocre vids anhooze)
For man made trails yes, but for a alpine experience, you should ride from hut to hut preferably in the Cottic Alps. Oh, and seeing you ride it, means that I will never consider myself able to be anything else than a monstrous hindrance down trails like that. Get viewers you can pick up along the trails and film them. Then people like me might still stay away or perhaps not...
the answer to your question is - albeit very subjective to taste - a very loud and clear NO! from practically anyone who was in saalbach/leogang AND portes du soleil.
Have you ever ridden in the Alps!? Let us know down below!👇
I’ve haven’t yet but I want to

Love these Gents
Hopefully soon👍
moved over from belgium!
As a Austrian I absolutely love you two blasting the trails and making funny German sounding remarks
😂
Haha! It was a great laugh filming this video, but we think Rich and Blake should leave German to people who can actually speak the language! 😂
It constantly amazes me how you consistently put out such awesome content on basically a daily basis. Awesome work from all the people on the GMBN team!

I live in Switzerland, where we have great trails, but after watching this I think that I'll be moving to Austria soon.
Rather joyful to see German and British MTB’ers riding the trails together 🇪🇺🇬🇧🇩🇪
So good - no, so GREAT to see the hardtail represented!
Thanks so much, Glen! You've always got to represent the hardtails! 😂👊
Seeing you guys go down Hangman and frantically asking "Where do we go?!" warms my heart!
...I've asked myself that very question many times!
One of the most inspiring videos ever on GMBN. Bucket list item for sure! Rich and Blake just take it to the next level.
Thanks for the great footage . sure you guys had a blast . When will you grace us in Cape Town and check out all our amazing trails. Well worth showcasing what we have in the Western Cape of South Africa . Cheers guys and thanks you all for another amazing episode

Was here last week! What a dream 😊
Okay but why isn't there a Blake Samson signature bar??? Hello Nukeproof????
5000m vertical descending on a hardtail. You absolute loon.
Love the alps, summer and winter, but summer slightly edges it for me.
Some parts of this track look exactly like Cardrona Bike park NZ (Also Ski lifts)
Amazing. I was out in Austria last week and did some riding at Innsbruck!
I’m also going there soon how were the trails ?
Glad you enjoyed it! It's so amazing out there! 🙌
Sporting matching Pepto-Bismal pink lids nonetheless!!
Gave The Don a shout out from our Chalet balcony as he led a ride backabout 300 metres from GMBN village on our first day
was good to see you out there!😁
Look who it is! You too Malik!🤘
Imagine Si Richardson seeing the cows, that'd be very, very funny :D
🔥 riding
Where can I find the track for this? I'm interested in how did you cross from Saalbach to Leogang's Hangman trail?
Can't beat a hardtail Blake!
Yes, Austria is fantastic.
💯%!
I have never but it looks amazing :)
It's well worth it! Hopefully you can visit soon! 👍
Awesome video. What is the brand name of Blake's glasses??
Hi Justin! Blake is wearing the POC Devour Sunglasses. Glad you loved the video! 🙌

Fantastic job really enjoyed
Got any vacancies
Thanks for the support, Gerard! If you're interested about job vacancies check out the link! 👉 playsportsnetwork.com/jobs-2/
Hey what ticket did you use? Is there a ticket for all valleys? Thanx
Hiya! Yep one ticket gets you round all of this! Check out the Saalbach website, as there's discounts and such on offer, but it's a pretty reasonably priced ticket given everything on offer

Wonderful
Is there a tour company offering this bike ride?
Curious how much this day and the lifts costs? Sounds epic, but affordable at all?
@blake, what’s with the bite mouth mount? Lmao
It's a brilliant camera angle! 😂

Per person, what's a rough estimate on how much doing this kind of thing would cost assuming it's for ~1 week and including flights
Where is it?
Does Blake even need fullsus 😯
I didn’t think anyone could pronounce German words as badly as my mom. I was wrong 😂
Wow is Austria ever gorgeous!
But let me get this straight, you get a lift up and only ride down?
That's so... cute.

I see Blake is on his HAAHHDtail.
I'm 9 and I'm a mountain biker a little bit 👋

ok but where are the natural flowy trails?
Where are DH bikes ?
I'm gonna sound so complainy and I'm sorry! But I love your videos and this one is epic, but do you realise it would be infinitely better without the 10 year old dubstep music?! just play some music people actually enjoy :D but again, mega video!
These trails are my dream. However, I'm stuck with something called the "tar baby"
#askgmbnblake what’s your sunglasses ❓
Blake is wearing the POC Devour Sunglasses. They look sick don't they? 👊
I have a Question... Why are you guys riding without gloves?
It's all personal preference at the end of the day. They aren't essential to wear, but we'd always recommend protecting your hands. 👍
How they can ride that stuff without a full face helmet is beyond me.
How about putting the worst riding crew member on a bike and give us a Mediocre riders impression of these trails. u guys are so good we sort of miss out on a 'Real Rider' impression.

No full face or gloves and elbow pads? Not a good example to set !
All the extra money they could make from wearing gloves and advertising them.
Hey! Most of the time Blake and Neil will wear gloves from our sponsor, Dainese. However, Rich doesn't tend to wear gloves out of personal choice. 👍
