Some of the Hermits started their own create server a while back. Their cobble gen uses 0 drills and instead breaks blocks with a mechanical piston. It's pretty incredible.
Yeah, I am 100% implementing that cobblestone generator in my next create world. It is so fast and comparatively cheap.
the generator by @Triobian is the best one ive seen out there.
It's also WAY more efficient than that cobble gen
Yep, using a bearing is also incredibly efficient, and if you time it with the generation of cobblestone for the maximum generation rate you can get ridiculous amounts
I thought zero drills was the standard for mid-late game cobble gen, was quite surprised that polartt is showing a drill setup as a 'late-game' cobble gen.
My buddies started playing Create just yesterday, they're absolutely gonna love this
Finally having a quick tutorial for a cheap iron farm is great, doin the lord's work out here
At the risk of drawing out the video, I'd really like to see a timed timelapse next time where you gather and set up the early game version in survival and give us an idea of the time and effort needed. Day 1 seems very optimistic imo, just gathering that wool would take a fair bit of time :)
yeah my thoughts also i dont think all that can be made in 24 min after starting a world
If you spend some time gathering wood, I believe he did say that it can be run with 11 waterwheels.
I think day 1 as irl day, not in game day.
Great video! i've just started a server with create and havent played it in a while, so this was a great refresher!
thanks for including the stress/rpm's for the different machines, that's something other tutorials don't provide in a good clear manner. I did see a fun compact machine I want to try, that's solid midgame, but including the early game one I thiiiink i might also do. just to get some resources starting to roll in.
Another probably more cheaper way to do the cobble farm is to have a rotating platform make it break. When the platform moves it becomes an entity and if you have a set up where cobblestone forms, then you can basically make something that works very fast at a cheaper price. When the rotating blocks go back in place, it becones a block again, breaking the cobblestone that generated there.
That feels kinda cheesy, but it would be quite a lot cheaper
You don't even need a rotating platform. Use a cart assembly with ice and water above some pumps. The ice briefly becomes an entity allowing for cobblestone to form above the pumps, and then when the ice reforms back to normal blocks, the cobblestone immediately breaks.
So basically, you mean the same idea as what TangoTec showed off in his Create series
I don't think that farming iron is as satisfying as absolutely destroying the environment with massive drills
Many people said this already but imma go a little more into detail. Theres a way better cobble generation mechanism using pipes to make lava touch water, since its faster than having it flow by itself, and a mechanical piston that crashes a structure into the generated cobble, replacing it with said structure, making the cobble pop out
Who remembers the magma cube avatar?

Not me 👋
I do

im so glad your back man ive missed your vids!
you should continue you create above and beyond series, i really liked it
Looks wonderful! I definitely need to dig deeper into the create mod
DAYUM, Very helpful video. Good observation for realizing that those other iron farm videos where for late game!
I’m glad you’re recording again, I missed the creat videos
Oh thanks for showing the mill grinder alternative. I always saw the crushing wheel being the only way and there isnt a nether fortress within 500 blocks in all directions of my portal, so thanks
YESSS THE POLARTT RENNAISSANCE IS HERE
i really missed calming create tutorials with louie zong music in the background
cobble-gravel-sand works. so a contraption that creates all three types as well as clay blocks, stone, and glass. so you would have a building block storage
even if there are a mil videos for or from create mod yours always is the best i dont know how but im being really honest
Yesss day 1 setups are always fun to see
HES BACK!!!! Ive just started a create A&B and youre carrying me thru it!
Ty for the vid once again :D
The music is just a tad loud at the start ^~^ (just as a head up :D )
What do i need to do after i placed the scamatic (the decorated one) because i gave it wood but the contraption isnt moving
1:04
Being able tp visualize certain parts of this whole thing like this is genius
Take my like
So, I made the iron farm, but when I went to power everything and using a rotation speed controller to get the rotation to -64 it breaks certain gears, is there any way to prevent that at all?
How to set up the water wheels? I've been messing with it but cant seem to get it for the first beginner schematic
Hey Polartt, I think a good video idea is one on those stockpile switches and a good explanation of them. They seem quite complex and personally I don't understand them very well
i think they just send a redstone signal when the container they are connected to becomes full
Christ! I almost forgot that this awesome channel exists
how to push the minecart without changing the course of the hole drill..? i tryed it 15 times and not once has it once gone straight
Great video 👍🔝
Great stuff!
Managed to create a simple temp filter by having a 1 block gap between the end of the belt and the chest, then used a lava bucket underneath said gap. Fill the chest with iron nuggets (or dirt until you have enough nuggets) and all the non-nuggets will get burnt.
when create above and beyond ,bro? i love that serie
You should check out the cobblestone farm tangotek made, its output is absolutely nuts
Very nice fromat. It would be nice to see the same with the gold farm.
Hey. A quick couple of questions on the advanced iron farm. Did you set it up so that the cart rotation is locked? Also, how did you get the redstone link onto the cart assembler?
Instead of the long belt u can use tool boxes with funnels for filtering
how do you start the minecart cus i spawn it and its stationary and when i go to push it it starts to rotate the drills and im like i dont think thats right pls help
I would love to see an Iron farm that uses Triobians Cobblegenerator, as it is very efficient
please what's your pc config and do you have tips to run the create mod correctly or to make minecraft lag less. because i have a fairly correct config and the create mod makes my minecraft lag a bit...
when i start up the starter iron farm it tends to send the cobble flying out of the sides, is anyone else having this problem?
How are the drills being powered through the chassis
Loved the video @polartt! Can't wait for the next video man! I remember @TangoTek building a Cobblestone Generator on his Create Mod Server with @Keralis, @ZedaphPlays, @GoodTimeswithScar and @Bdouble00 where he just breaks the Blocks by moving the Glass Blocks by the Water and the Lava Pumps back and forth. They pop up on the Water and get Washed down into a Line of Chests that then Funnel down into an Item Vault where it then gets Loaded onto one of Keralis' Trains for the Central Factory Area. It's very Interesting to look at that and maybe see how much Iron you can get from something like that!
Que suerte la mía haberte conocido hoy día , día de ma la madre porque vaya pedazo de MADRE es esa máquina amigo 😮❤
amazing toutorial
Why do you move the drills with minecart? You can just leave them in contraption form, no?
I appreciate the Louie Zong background music, i don't find many people who know about him :O
Maybe passive and neutral mob farms will be great: wool, leather, meat, piglin trade with gold farm.
where do i set up water wheels if im going that route
I made a lava trash sytem with a grabber, and i didnt know it takes items from nearby chests, and i just knew it was burning all of my hard worked ores and treasures for the past 3hrs of gameplay, it really sucks on why they added a 2 block radius for the grabber to take items to throw
What modpack did you use?
I realise im very late to this post but im wanting recreate the starter one and want to use the schematics, ive downloaded the file but have no idea what to do next. if anyone sees this please help.
you can break cobble by having a contraption replace itself, instantly breaking the cobblestone in the same blocks.
iirc another extremely fast cobble farm design uses a radial chasis to to instantly break the cobble by flipping another layer of blocks into the cobblestone generator
you can also just use a minecart builder on a redstone clock to do that pretty damn fast and space efficient
Which for next contraption: Fail-safe steam boiler setup
with an andesite funnel and a toolbox one can imitate the function of a brass funnel early game. couple gold is all you need
added the schematic, went blank, forget everything i had learned in the past 3 days , dont know how to turn it on. help
advanced one, without the boilers
I am amazed by that level of iron production, but honestly if you're just doing a standard world, when would you need that much iron? I just make a simple one a couple days into the game and I never run short. I'm so busy setting up other things and gathering other materials that I never run out of iron.
why does the part of mega iron farm with the minecart spin like it has a radial cahsie
you can get gold from create too, right? maybe a dried kelp block farm would be good too!
You posted this as I'm building an iron farm 😂
Hey polartt, is it bad to take some iron from someone who has so much?
this is a good video besides the fact that you dont really get to choose exact rpms early game
Finally, a way to get iron that doesn't involve killing the poor iron golems
I think a crude way to simply the early game one is to fill every slot in a double chest with one nugget negating the need for that precision timing and that belt altogether
it dose work I tested it and allows for an even simpler iron farm that uses gravity to transport items
How long is the belt in the first one
i would like to see the andesite automated in a cheap way and small, also is it WAWLA mod that shows whats inside the millstone thingys
I think WAWLA is discontinued, he is using Jade
Oh ok
Since when millstone can crush cobblestone?
Last time I tried in 1.16 it didn’t
You could actually make the cobblestone generator faster using a minecart assembler, pumps, pipes, a tank of lava, and a redstone clock. It is really fast.
me : been playing minecraft for years and still have no idea how to use redstone
some people on the internet : " and this is how to make a black hole reactor that can generate 1 quadrillion cobblestone per hour in minecraft "
You can waterlog your drills
Probably sdupid question, but for what version are those schematics? 1.19/1.18? And if for 1.19 will they work (from a technical standpoint) in 1.18?
They are 1.19.2, but they should still work for 1.18, or maybe earlier
@@polartt I see, thank you for the reply!
fyi you can just waterlog the mechanical drills instead of using the minecart contraption
If you're running tinkers you could always make an iron golem farm that feeds them into a Tinker's smeltery. That's what I'm using for my Create Above and Beyond playthrough.
Thats a decent midgame option, but there is a far superior way to get loads of iron fast.
I forgot the name of the block, but place lava and water next to it and it generates cobblestone about as fast as a regular generator will. however, the cobblestone is generated as a item, not a block. Not only that, but it can be upgrades with modules to generate the cobble much faster than normal. Feed the cobble to a gindwheel setup, and sell the flint for a quick profit. If you cant sell it raw try making a wood and chicken farm to turn them into arrows, which you can sell.
@@MrMoron-qn5rx is that available in Above and Beyond?
Never played tinkers
Seems very complicated go my taste
@@thegameranch5935 Compared to Create or Applied Energetics it is baby stuff... I'd argue Tinkers is about the same complexity as vanilla enchanting/trading.
@the game ranch Massive clarification: Calling Tinker's "baby stuff" *was not* a swing at you. I meant it more as "Don't let it overwhelm you", but I didn't have the best choice of words there.
2:52 Why does it need to be a minecart contraption if you can put water in the drill block?
It needs to be contraption so it can instantly pick up mined items and then transfer it via Portable Storage Interface
Using drills is less affective than the cobblestone generator that the hermits used.
Pls tell me what is this mod that shows the detail on screen
Jade
instructions unclear: i built it on a lake and it became a salmon farm
Sadly, a vanilla iron farm is much cheaper than your 64 iron/h farm, and produces 5 times as much.
I would rather perfer to use 9 iron that move vilagers.
the sad truth
I really hope they will add some way to make the create farm better
Unless vanilla iron farms have changed since I last saw them, I'll tell you:
I don't want to build a vanilla iron farm.
Completely uninteresting to me.
I play create BECAUSE it's fun to engineer these intuitive machines that still produce extremely well, especially if you have a server that keeps running
counterpoint: you dont have to wrangle villagers for this :D
the drill platform pivots into the machine and breaks it
STELLAR choice of opening music
Most of the gravel keep glitching on the crushing wheel i Don’t no why
Wait till people figure out that you can mine blocks with a mechanical piston that moves back and forth.
I did know that! But I have had issues with that design in the past where if you unload the chunks and re load them, the piston will get stuck and you have to re start it
@@polartt I think that can be easily solved with a spin timer
Will this work with 1.18.2?
this seems a little broken now, for some reason the minecart doesn't have as much travel anymore so it doesn't break the top row of cobble and slows everything down
The farm wont work anymore. It overstresses on the cogs for the fan on the early game farm
Who remember vanilla iron farms?
Your stresswheels must be pretty stressing
it keeps turning the lava into obsidian for the end game design, why is this happening?
You need a additional space at the top and bottom of your water wall. You're getting obsidian because the water is flowing instead of the obsidian
@@polartt ah yes that was the reason thank you!
We need gold farm as well:)
Are igneous extruders better for the bigger generator?
make a simple logg farm
it would've been pretty cool if you took the extra 5 minutes to show how, at the least, the starter one is ran instead of using these NBT files. I have 0 clue how to look at the schematics...
Fun fact it’s actually a 12.5% chance, not 12%, neat right?
what song plays at 5:35?
See the description!
you should start by mining some copper and getting the copper jetpack if u have the additions and stuff extensions, if u dont, get vanilla stuff like gold copper iron etc.
craft some empty blaze burners
as you will be crafting brass later.
youll mainly use trains for transporting later or use shulker boxes if ur in vannila
Him: it uses 9000 stress units so use a boiler setup
Me: has a steam engine in my world wich gives 400000 stress units at 64 rpm...
But ngl this is a really good farm i will be building it
Me producing almost 600k SU with Steam engines 😂
does this still work?
Why it shouldn't?
Fun thing is... An realy good Cobblegen don't use any drills at all ^^
It uses the Interaktion of open Pipes with Lava und the Fakt that Create-Entities, that going back form the "Entitistate" to normal Blocks breaks any Block wich is occupying the Space the Block want's to "Spawn" in.
Cobblegen build with this Idea, are crasy fast and doesn't use many SUs.
It would be a good thing if you spelled out exactly how big each contraption was in case we want to include them in our base or factory.
