Slightly inefficiënt use of the amount of crushing wheels, you could reach the same output with 5 sets of crushing wheels. Considering crushing a stack of cobblestone takes 3.85 seconds and the farm outputs around 300k cobble an hour. 300000 / 3600 * 3.85 / 64 = 5.01.. stacks per 3.85 seconds. Considering the number of stacks is a tad higher then 5 you could add another crushing wheel to fully optimise it. I don't know the exact output so if it were just below 300k an hour 5 sets of wheels would be fine and if just a bit higher you can add a 6th set. If you adjust the farm and use less crushing wheels you could save around 12-16k SU, which makes the farm able to be powered easily with 1 small lava powered boiler (or atleast a smaller power source).
I see what you mean, but for that to work you'd have to use all smart chutes under the cobble generator rather than normal chutes, which i prefer to use as they are much cheaper.
for the first farm, if you don't have brass yet, you can replace the brass funnel and chest with a toolbox and andesite funnel with iron nuggets and flint taking up the slots in the toolbox.

Great build. The Satisfactory music is just icing on the cake. I always thought about Create as kind of a blocky Satisfactory lol. (is it even legal to use their music just like this?) Btw, isn't letting the gravel just lay on the ground lag-prone?
Satisfactory music is, to my knowledge, non-copyrightable so yeah its all good to use it like this. And the gravel can definitely be lag prone if you build a lot of these or just a bigger version of the farm, but in my testing it all got washed quickly enough that it never caused any lag for me.
Hey, great video and explanation. Unfortunately i've got a problem, where after a few back and forths the cobblestone on the side with the 160rpm speed controller, generates faster than the gantry can destroy it, so the gentry gets stuck after around 3 seconds of producing. If anyone knows how to fix this issue, i would really appreciate it. Still great video :D Edit: i fixed it, i had the overlapping andesite funnels on the wrong side, my bad. Really nice video
The video is incredible 🤩 But I have two questions: 1.how are you holding shift and not going down (because of creative flight mode)? 2. How that big cobblestone farm does not consuming lava? (I think lava will end some day and you'll have to refill tanks)
1. I hold both shift and space at the same time 2. The lava just doesn't get consumed, I'm not sure why but i imagine create has a way to check if the lava would be immediately turned into cobble, and doesn't consume it.
Ive made the Advanced iron farm and powered it with a grid of large water wheels only with a usage of 98% su you have to have 11 large water wheels per row stacked 12 high to compensate for the stress draw and yes i used a speed controller going from an rpm of 4 from the whater wheelsto full 256 rpms
For some reason the mechanical press is compacting the iron into trapdoors. I have both the fans and press on maximum speed and checked by cog stacking. It still presses into ironblocks but seems inefficient and i cant find a fix for it
i wouldn't say the vanilla iron farm is "slow". when it comes to resources and time investment they are probably equally. the one thing vanilla farms do have over this is simplicity and easy to build.
The gantry system becoming "solid" again instead of moving is what breaks the cobblestone, specifically the trap doors above the vault. And for the lava not getting used up, I'm honestly not too sure tbh, might just be a weird nuance with create and how it works with piping.
Thanks for the answer! I suppose that makes gantries pretty powerful, for the fact they can instantly break blocks when they become solid. Is that the case for all of Create's mechanism types? And, are there blocks it wouldn't be able to break, like Obsidian?
@@JustinPalmerM most of the create mechanisms do break blocks when they become solid, I know windmills, and gantries do. As for what they can and can’t break I haven’t really tested that to be honest, though I imagine there’s a list of blocks that they wouldn’t be allowed to break, like bedrock.
The advanced design seems really effective, but I'm having a spilling problem and cobblestone kinda flies everywhere. Even upgraded those andesite funnels into brass ones to see if that would help. It didn't
If you use smart chute you can crush a stack at a time ! So you can then just use less crushing wheels! And save stress unit. Well if you have the resources for smart chutes
@@pxgenickbruch3232 honestly, i think that water streams will cause more lag than mechanical belts, and the thing with it being more compact? I don’t really think it is more compact given the fact that water needs support in order to not let the items fall.
great video, do you know if this design works for create version 0.5.0? i'm playing atm7 and it's for version 1.18 so i don't have the latest version (with the big water wheel and elevator pulleys)
I imagine it’ll work the same way as long as you have all the same parts, like gantry’s, rotational speed controllers, etc. If it doesn’t then let me know and I’ll attempt to make the same thing but for 1.18 and have a download link for the schematic.
@@MejillonTactico hey, i forgot to add the continuation of this lol. yes it did, but i needed to make some adjustments, i replaced the waterlogged leaves (since you can't waterlog them on 1.18), i just placed normal water surrounded by trapdoors, i also needed to place the fans 2 blocks further away so it would fit the trapdoors and the water source, which also caused me having to re-wire everything back into place some things to note when building this: make sure to have a powerful generator to power the crushing wheels if you use schematicannon you will most likely have to break and replace most of the blocks (all tanks, crushing wheels, etc) dunno if it's because i used a different version from the original schematic but my build was very bugged if you're going to use this on a server i recommend making a on/off switch (i made mine with a clutch and a simple redstone elevator setup) and also dont leave it on all the time since it's powerful that it WILL lag the server
im so confused? when the crusher crushes the cobble all of the gravel goes above the crushers and crushes the gravel to sand??? nvm fixed the problem i switch the entire gear box set up to the other side
It’s a bug with create itself, you might need to either upgrade or downgrade create versions depending on how up-to-date yours is. I show this in the follow up video, which you can find the link for in the pinned comment.
Hello, i would like to build this farm in my minecraft world, how many Stress Unit do you think it needs, i already have a boiler setup that generates about 145k su, is it enough?
I am having trouble with adding the waterwheel at 3:27. When I add it, then activate it, it says it is overstressed - simply, the waterwheels are not providing enough power to power both the drills and the millstones at the same time. can you help me? Edit: The same is for the Advanced generator at 10:50 Edit2: I could not get the waterwheels to work at all, so I just used a creative motor instead
so what you're telling me is that the average server only needs a farm a fraction of this size, and then split it between making cobble, stone, and smooth stone, too. >.>
i have tons of gravel spewing out everywhere, i used the schematic, and watched the video if there's something i need to do, and im not seeing anyone with the same issue.

@4176 What kind of performence issues did you have? Do you consider your pc bad, alright or good? Thats kinda sad, sorry for the bad performance. Can you try checking if it runs better later? The modpack is about to update in a few hours
@@bruhframe5604 The main issues i had was a lot to do with freezes & frame drops somehow. I have a pretty decent computer, more higher end than probably most, But it still had issues running it.
@4176Oh, yeah the next update might fix that! I found reports that Had Enough Items caused freezes, basically similar to the random dips of frame rates you experienced when playing, even when not exploring. Had Enough Items tries to optimize memory, so I assume it had a memory leak causing these issues and replaced it with Just Enough items, the og mod This theory is further supported by the fact that optifine players had the same issue, although they had to remove performence mods in the pack to play with Optifine meaning it was not a issue with a performence mod I installed My testers so far havent experienced the issue so its a good sign but I still say maybe just incase it is not gone Basically the new modpack update dropping in a few hours fixes that issue most likely Although you did already try it, I guess it would be too late now to retry it in the future :(
Hi, thanks for this video. I got an issue with fan, when they run, item float over the chute and go down very slowly. When i stop them, all flint and iron nuggets fall. I did a farm that run around 500ingot/hour and must add a impulse clock to stop the fan sometimes to increase the production to around 900ingot/hour. Any way to solve floating item issue without heavy redstone tricks like i did ?
For some reason that doesn't happen with me, it might if you dont have fans on every side causing that problem, but from hours and hours of afking the farm that has never happened. so besides pulsing the fans for even just a tick every so often to stop them, i'm not sure what else you can do to fix it.
@@JragonYT Yes, it's waht i did with redstone stuff and it workds pretty well, i'l try removing addons and see if that change something. Thanks for your answer
idk if is my Minecraft version but in 1.20.1 the item vault either doesn't work or it just cant keep up, also, the cobblestone came up afloat instead of down to the funnels connecting to the item vault
very cool! but i have a genuine question, why do people need so much iron? is there practical use for this? ive been looking for iron farm ideas but on a smaller scale
Lots of items use iron, especially for farms because of hoppers. So making huge farms for iron is good for making other farms easier to build. Plus some mods could use more iron than normal for their things, just depends on what mods people are playing with.
I followed each and every step shown in this tutorial But, out of all the chutes connected to the vaults, only 4 are working at a time and I don't know what is causing that..........? Can someone please help me out...?
@@ShotgunLlama the 2 carriages is what causes the machine to move back and forth, there’s more of an explanation as to why in the follow-up video I posted.
Both gantrys are glued together, so they should move back and forth on their own as when one hits the end of its line, the other activates and pulls it back. You need to make sure that both the gantry lines are not connected in the middle, and are 2 separate lines. (Shown at 8:11)
Theres a few possibilities why its not working, the funnels ontop of the vault MUST all be facing the right way (Make sure the arrow on them is pointing downwards towards the vault) and that they're all glued to the gantry system as thats what collects all the stone and drops it into the vault. For the funnels on the gantry make sure the arrow is facing outward away from the vault, as that will drop all the stone collected, and that the arrows on the funnels under the gantry are pointing into the vault.
I'm playing vault hunters on 1.18.2 and the leaves don't water log and flow everywhere. Is there a block I could use so I don't have running water lagging?
From looking it up I've seen that you can put water in a depot and have that work as well, i dont know if that means waterlogging it or not though. But other than that, stairs would work as long as the sides have blocks covering them, or slabs but stairs would be easier.
for some reason my funnels arnt picking up any of the cobblestone and simple falling off the machine to the floor instead of gong into the item vault please help
Make sure the arrows on them are pointed down into the vault to pick the cobblestone up. If they are then it might be a problem with the gantrys and the bronze funnel below the barrel not facing the right way.
I tried with one electric motor and it said overstressed. So i tried it with 2 and have the same result. You had mentioned a tier 4 boiler, are those required for anything other than power? Im currently using a mekanism generator for power but even with 2 motors its still overstressed
@@iamthexmarine create doesn’t use power in the same way that other mods do, by “power” I really mean stress units, and a tier 4 boiler is a very good way of generating that.
For anyone that is finding cobblestone spreading everywhere, and has built from the schematic, the brass funnel for the gantry barrel is pointing in the wrong direction. 6:28 shows it correctly, the schematic is wrong.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I actually built it manually and didn't realise the brass funnel was intended to face outside, and the cobble was gushing out like CRAZY! You saved me a ton of time, since I was gonna ask some inactive people in my server to show me their iron farm (they made the same design)
@@drakanize100%, but I wanted to make the machine only using create parts, incase someone who wants to make it is playing a modpack that doesn’t have drawers
The arrows on the funnels on top of the vault should be pointing down into the vault itself. If they are and the problem is still happening, make sure that the funnels are glued to the gantry system as well, as they deposit the items into the barrel as a sort of "middle man"
it's about 2 months late, but i am wondering about how lag/fps efficient or inefficient this would be. I could likely make this farm far off and set up some chunkloaders, but i am worried my pc and server wont be able to handle this.
The lag only comes from the cobblestone farm as it’s generating and breaking a lot every second, so it wouldn’t be too server intensive I imagine, but being near it would cause lag. So you don’t have to build it super far out, but just out of the way enough so you can load it when you want to would work.
@@JragonYT I'd assume just sticking it farther off and putting a chunk loader there would work too, no? And for powering this, how much SU is needed? I have a compact level 9 boiler I could use for this, but I'm wondering how much is required.
@@greenbeans12 That should be plenty, ive ran it with 2 level 4 boilers and had plenty as back-up, and i haven't tested it being chunk loaded but i imagine it works the same way.
There's a few reasons why it might not work, and because i cant see how you built it I'm gonna throw out a few guesses and see if one is the problem. Make sure that its mechanical pumps that are being used and not the normal pipes. Make sure the gantry system is moving how its supposed to, and that its all glued together correctly (To the trap doors and funnels as well) Make sure that the all of the funnels are facing the correct way (Shift clicking will make them face outwards which would pull items from the inventory their connected too)
The fans wash items if they're just on the ground way faster than if it were on belts, and using vaults would be a bit complicated with how close everything is together. So it is easier to use water for funneling the gravel into 1 spot.
I'm having an issue with the farm where something in the farm lags my game, i think its how quick the farm is actually going, because it starts lagging bad when the cobblestone starts to break. do you know any way to stop this from happening? My computer is pretty good so I don't usually run into these issues. The lag is so bad its almost unplayable when im close to the farm
@@3quan1m1ty yeah the amount of cobblestone generating on the same tick, then breaking on the same tick is what is causing the lag, it’s what happens when I run the farm for a decent amount of time as well. As for a way to fix it, the only way would be to make a smaller cobblestone generator so it’s not all generating at the same time, but other then that running the big farm while you’re AFK or overnight would be the better option where lag wouldn’t matter.
@@the_corner_conversations Here’s a video on how to make a pretty powerful compact boiler, although you might need more than 1 to power the farm. ua-cam.com/video/Xd0H6RLwTYQ/v-deo.htmlsi=ED--b83qU-2n8-ji

Make sure all the funnels are facing the right way and that the funnels above the vault are glued to the gantry system, The arrow on the funnels above the vault should be pointing down into it, and the one on the brass funnel on the gantry should be pointing away from it.
I have a problem, my gantry shafts break becose of the water logged pipes. So i removed them and put planks there. But when I run it the gantry carriage that it at the end of the direction that it moves breaks. when I replace it it goes the other way and the second gantry carriage breaks. What should I do?
make sure the gantries are glued together and 1 block apart from eachother. Since they go back and forth by 1 of the gantries reaching the end of the rail. and stopping.
I did it in my minecraft server and It worked but when the barrel got full it started to drop all the cobblestone I don't understand why the barrel doesn't drop the cobblestone that enters the barrel? could you help me pls?
the brass funnel under it might be facing the wrong way, since that is what drops the cobblestone out of the barrel into the andesite funnels connected to the vault Make sure that the arrow on the brass funnel is facing outwards away from the vault.
@@JragonYT yes thanks for responding fast but no its facing outwards and it still doesn't take it out of the barrel I tried making it both ways but it didn't worked

@@clxudzYT yeah now that 1.0 released It throws me off sometimes too. Lol
For some reason the mechanical press is compacting the iron into trapdoors. I have both the fans and press on maximum speed and checked by cog stacking. It still presses into ironblocks but seems inefficient and i cant find a fix for it
Make sure you set a filter in the basin itself. If you dont then it'll make whatever recipe it can, which means it'll start making trap doors.
i wouldn't say the vanilla iron farm is "slow". when it comes to resources and time investment they are probably equally. the one thing vanilla farms do have over this is simplicity and easy to build.
@@dareokoski8158 they’re definitely not slow when you build a big enough farm, but the space to iron ratio I feel is worse than creates iron farms.
@JragonYT that is fair
I have two questions on the cobble generator. What's causing the blocks to break? Why doesn't the lava get used up?
As for what they can and can’t break I haven’t really tested that to be honest, though I imagine there’s a list of blocks that they wouldn’t be allowed to break, like bedrock.
if you want to power the bigger farm you need around 150 large water wheels
The advanced design seems really effective, but I'm having a spilling problem and cobblestone kinda flies everywhere. Even upgraded those andesite funnels into brass ones to see if that would help. It didn't

If you use smart chute you can crush a stack at a time ! So you can then just use less crushing wheels! And save stress unit. Well if you have the resources for smart chutes

The normal rate of mine is 2900+ ingots per/hour and if imodified it it becomes 4750+ ingots per hour
Nice design, though i wonder why did you use water streams instead of mechanical belts.
i thinks its more compact. imagine trying to fiddle with the shafts etc. cheaper too 👍
@@pxgenickbruch3232 honestly, i think that water streams will cause more lag than mechanical belts, and the thing with it being more compact? I don’t really think it is more compact given the fact that water needs support in order to not let the items fall.

great video, do you know if this design works for create version 0.5.0? i'm playing atm7 and it's for version 1.18 so i don't have the latest version (with the big water wheel and elevator pulleys)
I imagine it’ll work the same way as long as you have all the same parts, like gantry’s, rotational speed controllers, etc.
If it doesn’t then let me know and I’ll attempt to make the same thing but for 1.18 and have a download link for the schematic.
@@JragonYT alright man, thanks for the help, i'll try to build it in a couple days and reply later
@@kozq2876 did it work?
@@MejillonTactico hey, i forgot to add the continuation of this lol.
yes it did, but i needed to make some adjustments, i replaced the waterlogged leaves (since you can't waterlog them on 1.18), i just placed normal water surrounded by trapdoors, i also needed to place the fans 2 blocks further away so it would fit the trapdoors and the water source, which also caused me having to re-wire everything back into place
some things to note when building this: make sure to have a powerful generator to power the crushing wheels
if you use schematicannon you will most likely have to break and replace most of the blocks (all tanks, crushing wheels, etc) dunno if it's because i used a different version from the original schematic but my build was very bugged
if you're going to use this on a server i recommend making a on/off switch (i made mine with a clutch and a simple redstone elevator setup) and also dont leave it on all the time since it's powerful that it WILL lag the server
i have build one in create giving 1400 iron bars an hour..its big but its also a beast... washing 10 stacks of gravel(640) in one go.. every 1.2 min
im so confused? when the crusher crushes the cobble all of the gravel goes above the crushers and crushes the gravel to sand??? nvm fixed the problem i switch the entire gear box set up to the other side
The wheels are spinning the wrong way then, make sure they're spinning into eachother and not away.
what can i use instead of the creative motors since im in survival
adding more fans doesnt increase the speed at which it washes items. 1 does just fine. even making it spin faster doesnt change. its a set value.
I didn’t even notice Satisfactory had music until I heard it in this video somehow
Too busy figuring out belt logistics to notice the music i guess. Lmao.
Hey, I'm having an issue where the gantry shafts are breaking, they can not be waterlogged. Any ideas why? I'm in 1.20.1
It’s a bug with create itself, you might need to either upgrade or downgrade create versions depending on how up-to-date yours is. I show this in the follow up video, which you can find the link for in the pinned comment.
Hello, i would like to build this farm in my minecraft world, how many Stress Unit do you think it needs, i already have a boiler setup that generates about 145k su, is it enough?
I think that should be enough, whenever I built it on survival I had 2 tier 4 boilers that powered it but that was probably overkill.
I am having trouble with adding the waterwheel at 3:27. When I add it, then activate it, it says it is overstressed - simply, the waterwheels are not providing enough power to power both the drills and the millstones at the same time. can you help me?
Edit: The same is for the Advanced generator at 10:50
Edit2: I could not get the waterwheels to work at all, so I just used a creative motor instead
so what you're telling me is that the average server only needs a farm a fraction of this size, and then split it between making cobble, stone, and smooth stone, too. >.>
Unless you want to be VERY greedy for iron, or are making builds that require a TON of it for blocks, yes. It is a very powerful farm.
i have tons of gravel spewing out everywhere, i used the schematic, and watched the video if there's something i need to do, and im not seeing anyone with the same issue.
found the issue, didn't put the water under the crushing wheels. thanks for the tutorial!
Modpack Suggestion Again: Parasitus
(I think you will really enjoy the tech in the modpack)
A parasite modpack, the way it puts mods together with the Scape And Run Parasite mod makes it for a unique and balanced, but still hard experience.

I did take a look at that pack and it seems interesting but for some reason it does not like to run on my computer.
Had Enough Items tries to optimize memory, so I assume it had a memory leak causing these issues and replaced it with Just Enough items, the og mod
This theory is further supported by the fact that optifine players had the same issue, although they had to remove performence mods in the pack to play with Optifine meaning it was not a issue with a performence mod I installed
My testers so far havent experienced the issue so its a good sign but I still say maybe just incase it is not gone
Basically the new modpack update dropping in a few hours fixes that issue most likely
Although you did already try it, I guess it would be too late now to retry it in the future :(

very cool! but i have a genuine question, why do people need so much iron? is there practical use for this? ive been looking for iron farm ideas but on a smaller scale
Lots of items use iron, especially for farms because of hoppers. So making huge farms for iron is good for making other farms easier to build. Plus some mods could use more iron than normal for their things, just depends on what mods people are playing with.
I followed each and every step shown in this tutorial
But, out of all the chutes connected to the vaults, only 4 are working at a time and I don't know what is causing that..........?
Can someone please help me out...?
What's the reason for having two gantry carriages? It looks like it's all just one contraption up top?
@@ShotgunLlama the 2 carriages is what causes the machine to move back and forth, there’s more of an explanation as to why in the follow-up video I posted.
also im interested, how do the gantrys go back and forth? for me if my gantry hits an end it just stays there till i change the rotation direction
Both gantrys are glued together, so they should move back and forth on their own as when one hits the end of its line, the other activates and pulls it back. You need to make sure that both the gantry lines are not connected in the middle, and are 2 separate lines. (Shown at 8:11)
i got in trouble with this server im on, this farm drops cobble everywhere.
The chutes for some reason aren’t pulling cobblestone into the vault, I thought I did everything right any ideas on what could be wrong?
Theres a few possibilities why its not working, the funnels ontop of the vault MUST all be facing the right way (Make sure the arrow on them is pointing downwards towards the vault) and that they're all glued to the gantry system as thats what collects all the stone and drops it into the vault.
For the funnels on the gantry make sure the arrow is facing outward away from the vault, as that will drop all the stone collected, and that the arrows on the funnels under the gantry are pointing into the vault.
Hey what mod is that U can see what's in a vault?
is there a list for the 3rd farm items?
I'm playing vault hunters on 1.18.2 and the leaves don't water log and flow everywhere. Is there a block I could use so I don't have running water lagging?
From looking it up I've seen that you can put water in a depot and have that work as well, i dont know if that means waterlogging it or not though.
But other than that, stairs would work as long as the sides have blocks covering them, or slabs but stairs would be easier.
@@JragonYT Will try it out when I get the chance, appreciate the reply!
@@ntong87 no problem! Hope it works out.
for some reason my funnels arnt picking up any of the cobblestone and simple falling off the machine to the floor instead of gong into the item vault please help
Hi, does the cobblestone generator still work for modern versions of create?
It should still work yes.
No it's been patched
For anyone that is finding cobblestone spreading everywhere, and has built from the schematic, the brass funnel for the gantry barrel is pointing in the wrong direction. 6:28 shows it correctly, the schematic is wrong.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I actually built it manually and didn't realise the brass funnel was intended to face outside, and the cobble was gushing out like CRAZY! You saved me a ton of time, since I was gonna ask some inactive people in my server to show me their iron farm (they made the same design)

For some reason the fans was pulling when I used gearbox so I had to just put motors on the fans
My chutes dropping cobble only in two places, any ideas why?
@jdragon my cobble farm part just stts out cobblestone it doesn’t go into the vault

You shouldnt have too no. It should be consuming more cobble than its making.
What mod was that let you see into the vault?
Jade, i think
I made the cobble generator, but no cobble is generating. Did I maybe do something wrong? All pipes are down and everything is waterlogged
There's a few reasons why it might not work, and because i cant see how you built it I'm gonna throw out a few guesses and see if one is the problem.
Make sure that its mechanical pumps that are being used and not the normal pipes.
Make sure the gantry system is moving how its supposed to, and that its all glued together correctly (To the trap doors and funnels as well)
Make sure that the all of the funnels are facing the correct way (Shift clicking will make them face outwards which would pull items from the inventory their connected too)
Why useing water for item movement vs a vault or belts?
The fans wash items if they're just on the ground way faster than if it were on belts, and using vaults would be a bit complicated with how close everything is together. So it is easier to use water for funneling the gravel into 1 spot.
how come it only crushes when i stop the farm? The gravel does not get produced while the farm is running?
I think it's cause the funnels doesn't put cobble into the vault when moving in the latest version of create, i'm having the same issue
