@@1104ray of course! It’s an absolutely awful thing to happen. Other dude was just saying that she would just have an easier time than anyone impoverished because… money. He just said it pretty aggressively though… but yeah, It’s incredibly challenging sometimes for people (especially those who have been historically/generationally disenfranchised) with “less than” to see people with “more than” complaining about anything. But I think everyone can agree that it’s tragic. Just not as tragic as it might be for someone already struggling.

I know of one other girl who was quadriplegic because of the porch pillar her hammock was attached to collapsed on her, followed by part of the porch roof. She felt lucky to be alive, her doctors said two inches forward and her skull would’ve been crushed and she would not be here. Please heed the warnings and try to prevent these types of injuries.

It's very humbling and saddening to realize that one small decision can completely change our life for the better or for the worse. Life is so fragile. Sometimes we get away with things that should've hurt or killed us, while other times we do something so seemingly insignificant and our whole life is completely changed.

I truly think the safest way to have a hammock is for it to be in a hammock stand. If it does collapse way less injury if any at all. This video totally missed the mark by not mentioning that

    • @ridingtheroad185

We moved into a house built in the 1950’s and the chimney wasn’t tied into the house…goodness knows how it didn’t fall down in strong winds…needless to say it was removed.
Hammocks aren’t even comfortable…I’d never have one.
