Something I’ll never forget about this game happened when I tried to get up to one of the viewpoints (I believe in the rich district of Acre). It’s on top of this really tall tower in a seaside fortress, and I really had trouble getting onto the ledge that I was supposed to synchronize on. Eventually, I hit a lantern trying to climb up, and it started spinning uncontrollably until it went into orbit. But what made this even better was in AC2 where this exact ledge reappeared in the Altair flashback, and the glitch still happened.
Fun fact: In the original AC game, your health bar was technically called a synchronization bar because canonically Altaïr was never hit once in combat. He was that good of an assassin.
@@worldsaveragegamer4553 I read your unedited comment. He was stabbed for breaking one of the core tenets of the assassin brotherhood. But he still was never properly hit in combat.
@@worldsaveragegamer4553 probably. Because we all know Al Mualim was a traitor from the start and wanted to take the Apple for himself. He was corrupted by its power.

Am I the only one who realised that Al Mualim is Warren Vidic’s ancestor? Both have the exact same face model and both in the past and the present serve the same trait that being intentionally persuasive to the main character and eventually revealed to be the villain
That doesn't necessarily mean anything, Like Altaïr shared the same facial model as Ezio (because they were both desmond's face model) but Ezio and Altaïr aren't related. Altaïr is related to Desmond through his mother's side and Ezio through his dad If i remember correctly
The modern day section actually has tons of lore, but it's all in optional emails and dialogue with Lucy. And in the conference room, there's even an email about all of abstergo's current projects.
I love that in AC1 all the enemies keep advancing and become stronger as the game goes on. They become much more aware, have more health and are tougher to beat and will counter you more. And most people don't know that there is a way for the player to keep up with the guards by doing side content and helping citizens. For example if you help citizens, more crowds will appear around your assassination targets or some npcs will grab and hold guards so you can kill them or run away.
One thing I'll touch on that wasn't in the video, the Kingdom area. It is such wasted potential, im one of those people who collected every flag in the game, and thus have a greater appreciation of the game world itself. Inside the Kingdom, there are so many cool locations that could have had interesting things, like assassinations. There is the area with the Roman ruins and you get to pillar parkour in a very janky way, there is an area where you can ride your horse across the freaking rooftops, there are a few massive enemy camps, there is that big bridge area over the ravine, and a few other locations as well. These would have been so cool as assassination setpieces and I hope we can get a remake of this game that adds side content like this in the Kingdom. Otherwise, I love this game like I do every AC, and yet again, another fantastic video.
@@malfuresz7351 they quite literally said it was removed because of historical inaccuracy and they brought it back in the Ezio games when it would have existed.
I went into this game with the expectation to hate it after watching retrospectives and reviews, but I ended up beating it in a day or two. It hooked me unlike any other in the series, even Origins, which has arguably one of the most emotional stories in the AC series. Also: if you play the game without the map you’re forced to listen to to the npc’s and look at the map’s landmarks, and it makes the games lot more engaging.
To me AC 1 still holds a special place in my heart that no other game will ever hold. I still remember being a 10 year old boy when my parents got me my PS3. The first two games I had were CoD 4 Modern Warfare and Assassin's Creed. Back then games didn't use to have voice dubs in other languages (live in Venezuela and at the time didn't know english), so I only played games for their gameplay because I couldn't understand the story because it was in english. Assassin's Creed one was the first game I played in spanish and whose story I understood thoroughly. It blew me away how well they could mix real history with fiction and make it work so seamlessly, the themes, the atmosphere, the soundtrack it was absolutely mesmerizing when I first experienced it, and I got hooked on the franchise ever since. I know that it was repetitive and there would be a lot better and more fun games to come(like AC 2, Brotherhood and 4 which are also amazing), but AC 1 just hits different, in a way it was instrumental in molding into the person that I am now, passionate about history, philosphy and storytelling and for that I will always have fond memories of it. And when I hear that soundtrack... straight goosebumps.
What I really like about the first assassin's Creed is that more so in any other game, you have to learn about your target, where they're going to be at a certain time, what route do they take around the city, and stuff like that. It added a bit of being an assassin to it.
Excellent video dude! Easily the most "assassin feeling" assassins creed, at least for me. Thanks for the shout out! Shock and Awe certainly changes the combat!
The thing about this game that most of the time gets neglected is that most design decisions click when you turn off the interface and use no in-game map. It was build to be that way and even Patrice Desilets said it in the interview. It made you explore the landmarks and follow leads in bureau. It made you listen to the criers for something unusual, made you walk down on the road level and it made the world feel more alive as you'll stumble into missions naturally. Even Kingdom is made without HUD in mind. You just follow the literal signs on road forks. I thought this game was primitive until I tried HUDless approach and it took me a full week, but it was SO worth it and this game went from a "meh" to a "one of the greatest games I've ever played" and made turn off the interface in other games as much as I could. It creates a totally different experience.
This game is absolutely worth playing for the story and the excellent way it was told. The missions are a bit repetitive and the gameplay can be jank, but it's still easily one of my favorite entries. Give it a shot if you haven't.
I still remember how I got Assasins creed. My friend wanted my Spider-Man game and I wanted something in return. I hadn’t even heard of AC so when I got the game I didn’t think anything of it until I played it. I LOVED IT. I still remember when I did the first leap of faith I literally screamed with anticipation during the fall
On the topic of the animus glitches, I saw a cool theory that anytime Altair gets hit and the animus glitches, it means it's compensating for you. Which would mean that besides when Altair gets stabbed by Al Maulim, he never canonically gets hit during the entirety of AC 1. So if you ever did a 0 Damage run of AC 1, that would be in completely in character.
This is such a great video. I thought you would rip into this or blindly praise it like everyone else seems to do. I may not always agree but I always appreciate your, for lack of a better word, odd opinions. I’m a huge fan of AC and seeing you review all these games is absolutely so much fun. You still gotta review my top 2 AC games tho and I can’t wait to see what you say about them
It’s a shame you didn’t mention the VA for Altair. I don’t know his name but his performance in this game made Altair a complete badass for me, the dialogue could have been seen as cheesy in someone else’s hands but he does a fantastic job. A real shame they got rid of him for revelations
Philip shahbaz (that may or may not be the correct spelling of his last name). Crazy thing is that he actually has a middle eastern accent which he was told to tone down this game, i guess as a way to make altair stand out. So if they wanted to make altair sound more authentic to his area in revelations, they could have done so with the same voice actor
Thank you so much for this critique, I was waiting for it for a long time and thank you for stating the truth about these games, their pros, their cons etc. I have enjoyed every assassin's creed review that you have done and I'm really happy that you say what a normal assassin's creed fan would say and not siding with either side of the game's fanbase, one being the haters of the new games and the other being the haters of the older games. Personally, Assassin's Creed I is my favorite game of the series, note that I own every game up until rogue and I have played the rest and have enjoyed them all. I couldn't agree more with what you have said in this critique, thank you so much for not forgetting this game like the rest of the fanbase. Keep up the great work
Great review. I love Assassin’s Creed 1 but I acknowledge it’s problems. The moral grayness of the Assassin- Templar conflict is my favorite part of the franchise and Assassins Creed 1 did it the second best IMO. I personally was really disappointed how Black and white Assassin’s Creed 2 made it.
I disagree. Most of the Templar members you kill in AC1 are straight up cartoon villains, similar to those in AC2. The best games to show Assassin's and Templars as more gray, were AC3 and Rogue
Doing these reviews I imagine it takes a lot of work to present both sides of an arguement in an unbiased way and present all its aspects pf a game ontop of an entire scrip to write. AND you're really good at it .I hope you continue to do more. You've made me think about video games in a different way and I think you're better than the famous game reviews. Keep going!
I love AC1. It wasn't my first Assassin's Creed, in fact, it was my 4th, I played it after playing Rogue, Black Flag and 3, but I still loved it. The game is simple, and it's fine. I didn't even find it boring during the times I played it, since I found a pretty good way to play this game: Do 1 target per day, that's it. You have sessions of about 1 hour per day, except the first and last day, and you can finish the main storyline of the game in 9 days. And when I remember this is the first entry of the franchise, I love it even more, since I can ignore it's mistakes, because while the other games were made with the Idea already done, this game was made from 0, it is the one that started everything. And well, I also did the 100%, which is very time consuming, can vê a little stressful sometimes, but when you kill that last templar and get the last flag, finish the last achievement, oooh the sensation is amazing
Pro tip for AC 1 combat, whenever you counter an enemy and they get knocked down to the ground, you can switch to your hidden blade and finish them quickly. It looks cool. P.S Great video dude!
My critique of this game on a single phrase is this. I'm glad this was the first assassin's creed that I played, cause if it hadn't I don't think I would have enjoyed it at all.
I always believe that if a game's basic control mechanics is interesting enough, then there is no need for more so called RPG elements to increase gameplay .
I use to dislike the investigation missions... until I found out that you can actually look up all the information in the menu, like the position of guards on a map, and various letters and documents you steal.
18:50 now that you mention Altair not being able to counter with his fists, it makes sense why in AC2 at the beginning Desmond couldn’t either, cause he hadn’t learned the skill yet through the anymus.
Annoyed by constant commercials made me lose interest and then eventually turned off but this is mainly down due to my own time restraints. Despite this from what I’ve seen this is a very polished in depth review the amount of detail you’ve put into this is overwhelmingly brilliant and will leave little left for anyone else to add to . So great job and despite not having the time to sit back and watch it and constantly having commercials rip into the short viewing window I had I would say this is one of the best reviews on this game especially for those with the time and an add blocker. I would harshly criticize the amount of commercials used in a video of this length. Who knows if I ever get to watch the rest I’ll enjoy it more -though I very much doubt it - you can’t usually perfect perfection
Just bought the director's cut 3 weeks ago after years of avoiding it since it's the first entry and I always found it primitive when watching gameplays on it before but now i'm hooked 19 hours in and I loved every bit of it still on Memory Block 4 taking my time on each memory sequence as I aim to 100% synch each memory damn I really missed out a lot and for a 14 year old game it impresses me with how the graphics still holds up with today's standards it aged gracefully but still hoping for a remake tho but the level of detail this game had for it's time, the scope and feel ubisoft really nailed it, you can really tell that this was a passion project. Btw I didn't had issues with the controls on pc since the game had controller support in ubisoft connect plugged in a 360 controller to immerse myself definitely worth it. Anyways i'll definitely spend more time cause I aim to get all flags for the sake of 100% sync regardless of it being pointless to collect wish me luck :)
My first playthrough of this game, I only did the minimum number of investigations required and every assassination devolved into me against the target supported by a 100 guards. On the second playthrough, I took my time and practised my skills. I always completed every investigation and found out that in the pause menu, you can actually view the maps, letters etc that you steal during investigations which was a huge game changer. All these small things added up and every assassination mission, I would only have to kill the target before escaping. Needless to say, the 2nd playthrough made me realise how high AC1 ranks in the franchise.
7:00 I just played through the entire game on PC with a controller. No idea what you're talking about, but otherwise this was a great video. I'm glad I found an opinion that isn't so extreme to one side or the other. I was incredibly hyped for AC1 back in the day, and when I finally got a 360 it was the first game I got, I couldnt wait. While I enjoyed it, in the end I was dissapointed, and this deflated my enthusiasm for the series for years. Replayed 1 for the first just now, and I enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would. Still a 7/10 for me, but a fun one instead of let down this time. I loved the focus on just getting in, assassinating, and getting out. Especially getting out, the music with the bell ringing is so awesome. Its what I looked forward to the most everytime. I understand the chase sequences are less a priority in the sequels, but either way, I'm really excited to move on to 2 and play through the series with a fresh perspective!
I played this game on a whim before AC2 was announced. I fell in love with everything about it. The gameplay, the story, the premise and locations, I was all about the assassins as an organization. I even loved the Desmond part of the story due to the mystery of what was going on in modern times, and that continues to this day for me
AC1's combat feels more brutal because of the sound design. Altair sounds like he rips through the flesh of his enemies while Ezio slices with finesse and Connor chops and breaks through people.
You touched on it a little toward the end of the story analysis portion, but something that sets AC1 aside from the rest of the franchise (save maybe Unity) is it's tone. The game is austere in a way the others are not. By the time we get to AC2, Ezio is a swashbuckling lady's man. Even the more serious moments of that game feel like a divergence for drama, rather than being emblematic of the game's tone. AC1 is unique in this regard because the moments of levity are the exception to the rule, not the majority. Altair is arrogant, not brash. He is confident, not quippy. There's a sense that the characters in Altair's world take the world and the events there very seriously indeed. This is the foundation for the other games narratively and gameplay-wise, but the philosophy of the first game is abandoned (whether for good or bad, this a neutral statement): AC1 interrogates ideology as a result of systems, rather than a result of powerful individuals. Almost all 9 of your templar targets present as working toward one ideology for personal gain. As you learn more and kill them, each reveal in turn they are trying to achieve the best possible results within the confines of a fairly complex and oppressive system. There is a *little* bit of lazy contrarian politics that falls into false equivalency arguments - i.e. Altair saying you shouldn't burn books, and the templar offering the rejoinder of "you killing me is just like that you hypocrite" when these two things are not equivalent. There's a whole different proposal this game makes about consequentialism which then becomes *the* focus of the AC series moving forward, where the only question the following games concern themselves with until AC4 is "do the ends justify the means" which is just not a particularly interesting question (or the fatalism of the Desmond arch). Maybe it's nostalgia or just a matter of taste but AC1 sets a foundation for these action games to approach complicated philosophical questions without irony, and when the series reapproaches this in Unity/Origins, it tends to make for a more consistent and enjoyable tone and atmosphere...
for lack of a better phrase, I think AC 1 feels more grown up than anything that came after. not just that's it's serious but that is also kind of somber about it. it's hard to put into words without sounding like I'm putting them down (and I'm not), but I think 2 onwards were affected by their own popularity to the point the whole thing feels like it's deliberately trying to look like a certain kind of story and the characters written to act like character archetypes. Ezio the charming galavanting young nobleman and all the larger than life villains who love being villainous &c.
I remember it was the hardest game I played in the series because I really needed to time my attacks and counters and really needed to be sneaky in assassinating and escaping because it's less forgiving of the consequences than future installments of the game. It was pretty challenging but that game introduced me to the series and it became one of my favorite game franchises ever since
I think what this game does best is immerse the player in it's world and intriguing story which makes you forgive it for having literally 5 different missions on repeat.
If you didn't know most of the modern day story is told through cutscenes. Everything you do in the animus translates into the real world. There's an event in the game where you can pickpocket Vidic and take his pen which is the key to his computer. Also Lucy leaves hers out too for you to grab. You can see the messages she sent to the Assassins
@@PeaShooterAutoHunter the pen will be blinking green I believe it's been a while since I've done it. You'll know it's time when you see it in his back pocket so don't miss the opportunity
The thing that you didn't talk about, just because it's also something that every other AC game also has, is that the concept of the Animus was so fun and unique. Like, before I played this game I expected it to be just like another Prince of Persia game, but it ended up so much more of a science fiction and conspiratorial new world order world-building from a narrative standpoint. Edit 2: I should also mention that I am a new player to AC, and I have only played AC1 and AC2 yet. I can almost certainly say that I enjoyed AC1 more (I played it first because it came out first so I thought I may not be enjoy it if I play it much later) than AC2. There are a lot of reasons for it but I just don't feel like mentioning them right now, I may come to this comment later to add them in further edits.
AC1 It's the most assassin-fantasy like. You're not a super human with powers, you're just a hitman that can climb. Every aspect is meticulous and you have to plan.
When the game came out it was a huge thing. Graphically and presentation wise, it set cornerstones. One of the positives of the Gamespot review is etched into my mind: tons of incredible details that will constantly amaze you. The world-building is tremendous. And the setting is one of the best in the series.
One of the things I love about ac1 is how it was designed to be played without the hud, the game becomes much more immersive and enjoyable Anyway, great video!

I honestly recommend this game to anyone who wants to start getting into the Assassin’s Creed franchise, because it’s a simple introduction to the basic story elements of the rest of the games. It introduces The Brotherhood, animus, Templars, both sides motivations etc It also helps that it’s the shortest game in the franchise so it never feels like a drag with its linear story
I may have only started the series earlier this year, but I’ve already played every game up until Unity, and am still going. My favorite game series by far, even though I just started
I haven’t started the video but I’d wish to add something. While extremely simplistic and repetitive what this assassins creed game does better then any other release in my opinion is truly capture the essence of being an assassin and creating a truly dark wonderful atmosphere. Having to gather intel and info about your target hidden amongst the people of the world is so special and I don’t think any assassins creed game has done it as well as the original. The game’s atmosphere in my opinion is also unmatched. While it is primitive in gameplay it truly makes you feel like you’re apart of this world and that you truly understand who it is you’re trying to kill and when and where is the perfect moment. This game introduced me to one of my favorite series ever and will always be special to me because of it. Like I said I haven’t watched yet but I look forward to it. Have a great day everyone.
Al Mualim wasn’t corrupted when he got the apple, he was corrupted by it’s existence and his learning of it. Think of it like this, the man already worked up to grandmaster of a secret order to control the Holy lands. That was his power, to be the leader of radical men who will kill at his behest. Put yourself in that situation and you’ll feel powerful, like one word can solve your problems. But then you learn of something far beyond your understanding. Something that doesn’t grant control (the illusion of power) but real power. An object able to do the things you worked for in an instant. Years of toil and sacrifice become unnecessary. If you knew an object was capable of fulfilling your deepest wish, and you only had to reach for it. You’ll justify any reason to hold it, just like Altaïr had when he had the apple.
This was my first ac game. Not only did the game blow my mind but thr asthetic this game added to my xbox library meant alot too. This mirrors edge halo 3 gears of war 2 and bioshock are my top 360 games
I’m so glad someone covered this game. Everyone always simps for the second game, but I never cared for it. Tbh I didn’t like any of the sequels until origins - I wish they’d have kept going backwards in time from the get-go, cuz the ancient settings are so much more interesting to me
13:05 there is two ways to get past these troublemakers; a simple low profile assassination will not desynchronize you, or just grab and throw them away from you and continue on with your day.
I never really got into the assassin’s creed games, i only played 1 and 3 a bit and 2 kept crashing so I never played it, the only one I ever played fully was revelations but now I’m currently playing through the whole series and so far it’s pretty good!
I remember playing the first AC when I was younger and finding the combat extremely unsatisfying. Looking back at it, it just doesn’t signpost the parry timing which isn’t bad on its own
As for the ezio and Altair argument. I believe they managed to deliver a very serious but badass character with altair he was naive but became so wise throughout the game. One of the most badass moments was altair demanding answers from al mualim. With ezio they managed to deliver a charismatic character that does everything with flamboyance and I think it was absolutely impossible to hate ezio both very different characters but both lovable

@@worldsaveragegamer4553 I read your unedited comment. He was stabbed for breaking one of the core tenets of the assassin brotherhood. But he still was never properly hit in combat.
@@XxHUNT3RN4T0RxX him getting stabbed was an allusion caused by the apple im pretty sure
@@worldsaveragegamer4553 probably. Because we all know Al Mualim was a traitor from the start and wanted to take the Apple for himself. He was corrupted by its power.
I'm hoping one day we get a remake or remaster of this game. I just want to free roam without having to load up a sync
Hopefully a remake! That’s going to be awesome! If they don’t I will try to to do it and make a remake
That would be awesome
They'll make it an RPG
@@titogallo7364 I really don't mind IF it's good
@@thebeaver8456 In all honesty, I don’t want AC1 to ever become an RPG because that will just absolutely kill and destroy the heart and soul of the game if you know what I mean
Am I the only one who realised that Al Mualim is Warren Vidic’s ancestor? Both have the exact same face model and both in the past and the present serve the same trait that being intentionally persuasive to the main character and eventually revealed to be the villain
I always saw that as the past mirroring the present.
Is this canon? Al Mualim had a child?
That doesn't necessarily mean anything, Like Altaïr shared the same facial model as Ezio (because they were both desmond's face model) but Ezio and Altaïr aren't related. Altaïr is related to Desmond through his mother's side and Ezio through his dad If i remember correctly
The modern day section actually has tons of lore, but it's all in optional emails and dialogue with Lucy. And in the conference room, there's even an email about all of abstergo's current projects.
I was surprised when I walked up behind Vidic and being able to stole his password pen thing.
Maybe they made them optional because they knew most people wouldn't like to play as Desmond
That's an incredible touch
Yeah the kingdom was great. Also I think arsuf should be visitable and not locked until the very end.
Sadly AC2 had no kingdom
Ubisoft in AC1: „we removed the crossbow to keep the realism“

They didn't remove the crossbow due to historical inaccuracy. They removed it because the devs felt like it was overpowered.

One thing I've always appreciated about AC1 is that swords actually had a sheath.
This is the only game which has scabbards for your swords and daggers. Even 3, the most well animated AC game IMO, doesn't have scabbards.
I think there’s beauty in the simple repetition with finding your target, solving the challenge of how to assassinate them, and talk to them
To me AC 1 still holds a special place in my heart that no other game will ever hold.
Also DAT DIALOG 35:59 like damn... new AC games wished they could have such good writing and depth.
Ubisoft were ahead of our time when they comment about Flat Earthers.
To get the shirtless hobos or any civilian NPC out of ur way, you can pull out your sword and only the sword and the AI will trigger to run from you

Pp
Man the parkour really shines in this game when they give you the grabbing mechanic. Paired with well timed A jumps and it looks fluid as hell.
You still gotta review my top 2 AC games tho and I can’t wait to see what you say about them
I’m glad you like my odd opinions haha
HONEY, WAKE UP! THAT BOY AQUA JUST UPLOADED.
The amount of passion and effort put into each of these videos is incredible. Stay healthy and happy Aqua
"A community that's been increasingly at each other's throats these days"
With hidden blades, I imagine.
There will be a plenty of time for that later, brother
I use to dislike the investigation missions... until I found out that you can actually look up all the information in the menu, like the position of guards on a map, and various letters and documents you steal.
18:50 now that you mention Altair not being able to counter with his fists, it makes sense why in AC2 at the beginning Desmond couldn’t either, cause he hadn’t learned the skill yet through the anymus.
1 - revelations are incredible
Always
TBH for me Ac 2 and Bloodlines are really mediocre.
This came out earlier than I thought! Fantastic job as always, Aqua!
Still blows me away how good this game still looks, after all these years. Ages like Dead Space
23:47 Woahh that was the first time i heard someone on UA-cam said his name almost perfectly
I think that's because a lot of characters (Even Altair) don't pronounce it right.
Thank god I just finished my school work so I can watch this epic gamer content
I never looked at the leap of faith in that way before. I always thought it was kinda dumb. I get it now. Thanks for explaining that.
I can just tell you spend so much time on these videos. Thanks bro, you know your channel going up.
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on 3 cause that was my first and one I remember fondly
I played this game on a whim before AC2 was announced. I fell in love with everything about it. The gameplay, the story, the premise and locations, I was all about the assassins as an organization. I even loved the Desmond part of the story due to the mystery of what was going on in modern times, and that continues to this day for me
I love that aqua drops a "is it worth revisiting" right as I'm nearly the end of my replays (on Origins probably won't touch Oddyssy)
I almost put 40 hours in Oddysey.. May as well forget it exists, just a grind fest
Could not have said it better myself!
@@ThatBoyAqua also don't think I didn't notice that cheeky *redacted* tease for the next AC video
for lack of a better phrase, I think AC 1 feels more grown up than anything that came after. not just that's it's serious but that is also kind of somber about it. it's hard to put into words without sounding like I'm putting them down (and I'm not), but I think 2 onwards were affected by their own popularity to the point the whole thing feels like it's deliberately trying to look like a certain kind of story and the characters written to act like character archetypes. Ezio the charming galavanting young nobleman and all the larger than life villains who love being villainous &c.
Bro this game and AC2 are so freaking legendary yet simple
I remember it was the hardest game I played in the series because I really needed to time my attacks and counters and really needed to be sneaky in assassinating and escaping because it's less forgiving of the consequences than future installments of the game. It was pretty challenging but that game introduced me to the series and it became one of my favorite game franchises ever since
I think what this game does best is immerse the player in it's world and intriguing story which makes you forgive it for having literally 5 different missions on repeat.
Best portrayal of the assassins, best portrayal of the templars, best learning curve, best atmosphere, best story.
I did it as well. Surprised not many people talk about it.
Wow i didn't know that you can do that, imma go try it out
Also once you beat the game there are 16's messages left in blood that you can decipher

@@SirThomas_II i just get straight into the animus XD
Always loved the talks with al mualim and the assassination targets
this is the second assassin's creed analysis i've seen this week. i love this game so much and I'm happy to see it in the algorithm
When the game came out it was a huge thing. Graphically and presentation wise, it set cornerstones. One of the positives of the Gamespot review is etched into my mind: tons of incredible details that will constantly amaze you. The world-building is tremendous. And the setting is one of the best in the series.
Having recently replayed it, I think it's good for what it is. Awesome video, man.
Can't wait for you to make an AC 3 video. I feel like you will have a lot to say about it.
One of the things I love about ac1 is how it was designed to be played without the hud, the game becomes much more immersive and enjoyable

I honestly recommend this game to anyone who wants to start getting into the Assassin’s Creed franchise, because it’s a simple introduction to the basic story elements of the rest of the games. It introduces The Brotherhood, animus, Templars, both sides motivations etc
It also helps that it’s the shortest game in the franchise so it never feels like a drag with its linear story

*The Kenway Saga*
I may have only started the series earlier this year, but I’ve already played every game up until Unity, and am still going. My favorite game series by far, even though I just started
I recently replayed this one. It was a fun experience, and definitely worth the replay. It's always good to revisit the roots.
Tbh I didn’t like any of the sequels until origins - I wish they’d have kept going backwards in time from the get-go, cuz the ancient settings are so much more interesting to me
I miss the crowd having such a huge role in stealth. From negative to positive.
Can we talk about the animus for a second. Like how uncomfortable that thing looks like desmonds back must be broke
13:05 there is two ways to get past these troublemakers; a simple low profile assassination will not desynchronize you, or just grab and throw them away from you and continue on with your day.
This game reminds me of the first uncharted it may have not aged well but The simplicity of it is what makes the game so fun
Up until just now I did not know there was an air assassination in this game, I’m replaying it to 100%, this should help a little
Started with AC2 too! Still remember trying to figure out the control back then. Then loved all of it.
This video is gonna be good.
Edit, it was
When i was 4 and five my dad used too make me play this game every day I LOVED THIS GAME
I literally just noticed Altair and Ezio look like Desmond fucking genius
I never really got into the assassin’s creed games, i only played 1 and 3 a bit and 2 kept crashing so I never played it, the only one I ever played fully was revelations but now I’m currently playing through the whole series and so far it’s pretty good!
Can’t wait until they remaster this!
For years I thought that air assassinations just weren’t a thing in this game and then I watched this video and thought wait wtf.
half the clips in this video: "oh don't mind me I'm just a kind old monk--" *stab*
From 1 to revelations, the full sprint looks like they all pooped themselves
