  • Sitges is an incredible Mediterranean seaside town just 40 minutes south of Barcelona by train. It makes for a great day trip while you are visiting the city. In this video I will show you how to walk from the train station to the historic center and beaches. We will also see some of the top sites so you know what to do while you are in town.
    Some of those top sites include the Casa Bacardí, the Cau Ferrat Museum, the Maricel Palace, and the beaches themselves.

    Hi Patrick, when my cruise docked in Barcelona this was our excursion. It is so beautiful. I will have to go back. Didnt know about the plaques. I now know the correct pronunciation of Sitges. Lol.

      Haha! Looks like you learned at least two things from the video! Plaques and Pronunciation. Important to know! Thanks for watching again Diana!

    WOW! I so admire your persistence during the RPA of covid! Enjoyed the video, No doubt you're tired of hearing from me and my idea of making Sitges a low key HQ for our visit to Barcelona. Thoughts? Suggestions? Ways to contact you? Jerry of Oregon - Spain in April. Cheeers,

    Great videos Patrick. Sorry to ask so many questions but I really hope you see this. What camera and audio do you use? And how difficult was the Barcelona tour guide course and is it offered in English?
    All the best with your channel.

      Thank you, Kay. Glad you like them. For the the walking shots I use a GoPro and for the more scenic overlays I just use my iPhone. The mic is a simple lavalier microphone. There is no specific Barcelona tour guide course ,per se, rather a more general course of study (from many different options) and then each region in Spain has their own requirements for guiding within the communities.

    Patrick, GREAT video tour. I only just learned about Sitges yesterday. I wish you had shown an up close of the bat logo on the Bacardi bottle. Is it on the building? Never heard of that. Thanks. Oh and you need a new mask, you know...one that fits. lol

    Thanks for sharing this video. What is the best time to visit Barcelona to enjoy the beach? Which month?

    • @PatrickGuideBarcelona
      @PatrickGuideBarcelona  2 роки тому +1

      You're welcome. High season is from Late May to mid-September. Anytime in there, but I would say early September might have fewer people and still very nice weather.

    Seems to be quite a long walk from the train station to the beach. Is there a less winding way to get to the beach?

    • @PatrickGuideBarcelona
      @PatrickGuideBarcelona  2 роки тому +1

      Of course. But in the video I wanted to show you the town

    • @QueenBee-mk8xm
      @QueenBee-mk8xm 2 роки тому

      @@PatrickGuideBarcelona ah okay. Yes, it’s interesting to see the town. Personally, I’m not a fan of narrow and winding streets and like wider roads and large squares, but I think Sitges also has more open spaces outside the town center 🤔Good to know that there may be more direct and quick ways to get to the beach.

    • @PatrickGuideBarcelona
      @PatrickGuideBarcelona  2 роки тому

      Yes, bigger roads to access the beach
