Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer and this process might be different from person to person or country to country.

Documents Needed:
1. Letter from the consulate
2. Valid passport + copies
3. Birth certificate + copies
4. Police certificate/ police clearance
5. Evidence of financial support
6. Two passport photos - use guidelines from the consulate site on dimensions.
7. DS - 160 confirmation page
8. My fiance's identification i.e his passport etc
9. Medical examination results were shared directly by IOM Nairobi Migration Health Assessment Centre
To be safe provide:
- Evidence of relationship i.e photos, shared messages on whatsapp, email etc.

Hi gal, I'm going the same process. My question is after getting the letter from nvc do I have to start filling in 160 form and submitting the other documents, booking interview and medical or i have to wait to hear from the embassy. My case on ceac CEAC status is saying ready.
In my experience (Kenyan) , we did our DS 160 after getting a letter from the NVC stating that our case was being forwarded to the embassy. A week later, we got an email from the embassy confirming receipt of my application (this email instructed me to book for medicals among other instructions). We then started working on setting an interview date (the case was ready at this point on CEAS). I picked the earliest date for the medicals as I waited for embassy interview date to open up (as you may know you have to book the interview date by yourself unless things have changed). My embassy interview date finally opened up. I booked and paid for it ASAP. It happened to be before the medical interview date. I sent another URGENT email to the medical facility (IOM) requesting them to move forward my appointment since my interview appointment with the embassy had opened up and they did!

@@Esther12324 have filled and submittedds 160 , I created an account for paying and schedule visa interview, I keep on checking available date since everytime says no available date. Haven't yet received any email from the embassy
