Yeah this was a cheaper watch that I actually won! Not a bad looking piece, I've been paying more attention to the second hands these days! Thanks for checking out the vid!
Great concise and informative video! While searching for a thin, classic and minimalist timepiece, I stumbled upon this brand. I am usually weary of manufacturers that aren't rooted in watchmaking. I would trust a Casio more readily, as I was reading in the comments about manufacturing defects, pieces falling off. Still I don't know, I'm liking this design so much. I'm considering one of their titanium models, simple timekeeping with a date display at the 6 o'clock mark. This model is supposed to have a Japanese Miyota gm10 movement according to my searches. I appreciated you trying the luminous feature. Ok it's only on the hands but it works. On some watches the light is dull. Still you had to direct a flash on the watch for the hands to light up while you were in a lit environment the whole time? I may still stick to a brand that has proven history in watchmaking even if I miss on the design, because I'm considering a long lasting timepiece. Again, great video!
Hi, it's been so long since I actually owned this watch but if it has quick day/date set it would be in the first position of pulling the crown out and turning it clockwise or counter clockwise would change the day and date.
I love my watch - just changed the battery my self - it stands up to abuse - the number 3 fell off but hasn't affected the running of it...love it comfortable and well worth it
I am looking at buying this watch and am not sure if it will fit, i saw that it just fit you but i cant tell how thick your wrist is. I would be very grateful if you could tell me how thick your wrist is so i can see if i will fit.
That's a great looking watch. To bad you couldn't find out more about it. It looks comfortable. that buckle is a throw back, I haven't seen a buckle like that since I was a kid. Great Video Sir!
My Watch Addictions thanks for checking it out! I actually like this one more then I thought I would! Can’t beat free! Are you having issues with your videos getting flagged for adds? It keeps happening to me within 24hrs of posting! So I have have all of mine reviewed! One is at about 900 views already all without ads 😔
Would that watch be a collectable or just a fashion watch , i fancy getting a nice collectable one for my birthday , & quite like that watch & I also Bulova too , but can't make my mind up .
@@oz_medias It's not a fashion watch simply because when you think about it they don't use sapphire glass and medical grade 316L stainless steel for fashion watches
Japanese quartz movement, sapphire crystal and ceramic to make it lightweight and thin Bering is known for using high end materials, found in much more expensive watches. Tricky clasp is a god thing, it doesn't pop open or catch and open. The one you have is one of the less expensive models, many run $300+
I have a Bering solar, started ticking 2 second intervals when unboxed, 4 hours later it went to 1 second intervals meaning it has some charge, the medical grade stainless steel and sapphire glass make it an obviously quality timepiece and as long as it sees some light every day it will go on for decades with no need for a service or battery and seal change. Hard not to like it
I purchased this watch in 2015. In July 2017 (only two years after purchase) one of the decorative rings of the sphere felt apart and broke the mechanism. At that time, the warranty worked and they repaired the watch. Now ... 2 years later (August 2019), once again one of the decorative rings of the sphere felt apart and broke the mechanism, again!!!. This time, of course, it is out of warranty ... I wrote Bering more than a week ago (because they pride themselves about the quality of their products) just in case they were willing in taking a look, etc... but they have not bothered to reply. My opinion is that a watch of this price and supposed reputation should not have this kind of design problems and bad build quality. Not recommended at all!
Beautiful and simple design but for a brand that is supposed to be inspired by the Arctic, none of their watches have an ATM over 5. Also their Canadian web page shows the prices in British pounds !!!
Nothing wrong with British pounds, have you ever googled the oldest currency in the world??? Also it's perfectly capable of being worn diving into a swimming pool, I can say that for sure as I have a Bering solar. If you want a watch specifically for deeper work then obviously you buy a watch for this type of work
right from the start you can see the Second Hand doesn't hit the marks exactly

I have the same problem with my RGMT tritium watch. No idea what movement is in it, I assume an NH35 but don't know for sure.
It drives me nuts! I don't know why companies don't just put out all the info...
hi....how to adjust the others markers like day?

Hey Watchin' yeah I have seen that, email me offline and we can chat. I have some thoughts that might help.. info@mywatchaddiction.com
It's a milanese strap, even Apple use them on new watches, timeless maybe.....

It's a fashion watch but uses high end materials With the very rapid growth of the brand, it could very well be a collectible some time.

you are lucky! mine lasted 6 months warranty refused!
Wow, good to know I actually didn't keep mine long enough to have any issues.
Friend of mine had a problem with an expensive Swiss brand out of warranty, same story....
I just bought a solar men's watch. £120 (UK) best watch. Beautiful

No 120 cents!
Not sure what your comment means? I won this watch so I won't really complain about free!
