@RealEstateNatePVR I see you liked deleting comments so I will repost and continue to repost. People like you are ruining the culture of Puerto Vallarta, constantly causing the cost of living to drastically increase for the people that were born and raised there. Colonizer!
Hey Nate, Tampa here. I am traveling to Merida in April to research all the pros and cons of retiring in Mexico. Watching and listening to all the xpats and their stories and how they made the move. Your video was very informative and I look forward to watching more. Thanks
You seem so warm and wonderful. Thank you for sharing your video. We loved PV and I’m moving to Mexico in the next few months as soon as my house in Texas sells. I wasn’t sure Vallarta was an option but you have helped me reconsider. Good luck with your videos and other endeavors.
This is awesome Nate, I can also related to you coming from Chicago, and not being Mexican although I speak fluent Spanish. I also feel the same way as you, my partner and I wanted something different, we wanted to moved to Europe, but you mentioned that you wanted to live close home. Which is why we choose Mexico. Even though we live in NV (Nuevo Vallarta) I feel like the city is more for retires and old folks rather than people within our age range (mid 30s) Please continue making videos, maybe you can start showing your audience places to eat and hangout.
@@Ricardoelhawi haha yea I know what you mean! My boyfriend lives in Nuevo and it’s a very different vibe! Yea thanks for the support, as the channel grows I’m definitely going to start recommending local restaurants and stuff!
Thank you so much for the video. I’ve been following your real estate tours. I’m currently in Palm Springs, California and planning to get a 2nd place in the next year- super helpful info! Thanks.
@@RealEstateNatePVR 2nd place in PV, I will probably keep my place in Palm Springs (I’m starting to “semi” retire :) ). If It goes smoothly (like developing a community of friends in PV). My goal would be to relocate full-time :).
Thank you Nate, I’ve been watching your videos as I love PV , would love to move there someday . This information is perfect and the fact that you are from Vancouver makes everything you say so much more relatable !!! Looking forward to more videos
Yes I’m from Vancouver, originally I was just watching your real estate videos and then I found out you were Canadian and from Vancouver it made me subscribe. I’ve got a few years before I think to retire , but I love coming to PV , it feels like home , I may hit you up for some advice regarding rentals .
I also live in Mexico (CDMX) and have residency but not the right to work. Did you start your own real estate agency or are you working under another agency? Just trying to see if that might be an option for me. I work remotely and have no plan to do real estate here, but I do love real estate and that's what I work on remotely here in CDMX.
@@tonygrannis5233 from what I understand - to get the golden visa in Europe you have to invest a significant amount…… it’s way easier in Mexico - you don’t need to invest you just have to show that you have the means

Hola! You don't really need a Mexican bank account. You can pay any of your utility bills at OXXO or at the grocery stores. I've lived in Mexico for a few years and have two US bank accounts and do everything on my mobile apps. Get a Charles Schwab debit card! They refund all of your ATM use fees and don't charge you any exchange rate or transfer fees. I just transfer money from my main account to my CS account as needed. It's still a cash based society. Landlords and merchants prefer cash for the obvious tax implications. Most all of your credit cards will charge you 3% on any and all purchases that can really add up. BTW- When the ATM's asks you accept the exchange rate decline it! You will still get your money! It's a sneaky way they use to give you a terrible exchange rate. Buena suerte!
