I left Canada for many reasons but I can’t foresee returning to live there anytime soon. I used to love Montreal, the city I’m from. It will always be in my heart. Our family lives in a small remote fishing village in BCS. Our kids go to public school and are thriving. We are very involved in the community. We've had our house here for about 17 years but have lived here full time for over 3 years. We can't wait to apply for citizenship 🎉
Is nice you appreciate the simple things in life and you're also involved in your community, as many foreigner people living in Mexico don't care about anything but themselves 👍
3:11 maybe you don't like to buy second hand clothes in Mexico but I used to do it and i found so many high end brand names at "mercaditos" for just 10 mexican pesos but these clothes has labels from Goodwills, ROSS, Marshalls and price tags shows 12.99 and up and i just paid 0.50 cents (US dollars) without traveling to the USA Brand names like Polo Ralph Lauren, American Living, Perry Ellis, DKNY, Banana Republic, J Crew, etc etc and these garments are in pretty nice conditions.

As a fellow Canadian, I love your out of the box thinking and moving to Mexico We as a couple are in our late 40s and taking another path of sailing around the world Same idea but different path Idea is to eventually live 6 months in Canada and 6 months sailing in the winter months Also, your delivery is perfect. @realmxco We currently in Florida to take some sailing lessons but once it's out of the way, we plan to sail to Bahamas next year on a charter or own boat, explore BVIs UVIs, Central America, Costa Rica being our favorite and then cross over on the Pacific side and continue to complete the circum navigation Lots of planning and $ required but we working towards it 😆 We are farmers and run an agri Tourism farm in Ontario as well so our adventure requires meticulous planning (Just like you guys) for the 6 months that we will be away

Puebla is an excellent student city. Dozens of great schools from public like the Centro Escolar to high end private like American School, Colegio Benavente, Instituto Oriente or the Colegio Humboldt. Same with Universities that receive people from all the country and foreigners.

I imagine there are mark ups, but I learned a lot from the owner of the music store where I bought my piano- he keeps his costs as low as possible. Importation fees are very high, and there are many regulations (like costly inspections of electronics) that jack up the prices too!
You need to travel more, the prices in Mexico for most of the no basic items (electronics, brand clothing, etc) they've been always expensive Regardless of who's in the oval office in Mexico we have never seen the benefit of that Don't believe me, search Calica mining in Cozumel, they destroyed the whole jungle to take limestone for construction to USA now the area is protected and after many years of destruction and abuse they can't mine anymore but they want a compensation because they can't exploit the area at their own leisure as it used to be, and congressmen in USA now are threatening that if Mexico doesn't allow to exploit that protected area again the North America trade will be in "danger"... for whom? So, international free trade.... Their arses!

There’s a free trade agreement between US and Mexico. Prices are higher on US goods because the Mexican merchants mark it up.
