    3:11 maybe you don't like to buy second hand clothes in Mexico but I used to do it and i found so many high end brand names at "mercaditos" for just 10 mexican pesos but these clothes has labels from Goodwills, ROSS, Marshalls and price tags shows 12.99 and up and i just paid 0.50 cents (US dollars) without traveling to the USA
    Brand names like Polo Ralph Lauren, American Living, Perry Ellis, DKNY, Banana Republic, J Crew, etc etc and these garments are in pretty nice conditions.

      Lots of planning and $ required but we working towards it 😆
      We are farmers and run an agri Tourism farm in Ontario as well so our adventure requires meticulous planning (Just like you guys) for the 6 months that we will be away

    There’s a free trade agreement between US and Mexico. Prices are higher on US goods because the Mexican merchants mark it up.

    • @realmxco
      @realmxco  2 місяці тому +2

      I imagine there are mark ups, but I learned a lot from the owner of the music store where I bought my piano- he keeps his costs as low as possible. Importation fees are very high, and there are many regulations (like costly inspections of electronics) that jack up the prices too!

      You need to travel more, the prices in Mexico for most of the no basic items (electronics, brand clothing, etc) they've been always expensive
      Regardless of who's in the oval office in Mexico we have never seen the benefit of that
      Don't believe me, search Calica mining in Cozumel, they destroyed the whole jungle to take limestone for construction to USA now the area is protected and after many years of destruction and abuse they can't mine anymore but they want a compensation because they can't exploit the area at their own leisure as it used to be, and congressmen in USA now are threatening that if Mexico doesn't allow to exploit that protected area again the North America trade will be in "danger"... for whom?
      So, international free trade.... Their arses!
