  • Here is another tutorial video that will help many anglers with the coming fall bite. I wanted to do a more comprehensive tutorial video on how to catch saugeye. In this video, I will share lures, locations and techniques I use on the river systems near me to catch saugeye. The Great Miami River is a superb fishery and I catch them often using the baits I have in this tutorial video. I hope you learn something from this video and please comment down below if you use this information and catch a saugeye! Tightlines!

Love the bait walk thru and as always the gear set up info !! I’ve got some of my biggest soggs on the pause ! The seem to love to slam it when you stop reeling and let it sit for just a few seconds !! Also gotten a bunch of monster walleyes this year out of the GMR ? Been a crazy year for some off the cuff fish man . Keep on slaying em man !!! LETS GO.........

I have yet to get any big walleye from the GMR a few 18-20 inchers. I believe are water is getting better and the walleye population in the Ohio river is becoming very great!

I don't really throw too many pricey lures when saugeye fishing in the rivers. If I do throw more expensive stuff it is in areas I know pretty well and have knowledge of where snags are located. Thats why I fish with cheap plastic swims or twisters to get a feel for the bottom before throwing jerkbaits and cranks
