Works like a charm! I bought a piece of 1/4 inch rubber vacuum hose and made a 2 inch cut along one end and pushed the nock in and wiggled it back & forth and wala, it shut off!! Thanks for sharing because buying these lighted nocks is sure much cheaper than buying 3 Ravin arrows for $100 bucks or more, which I cannot justify in doing!!

Thanks for the tip-I stopped using the lighted nocks for my Ravin because they were so difficult to turn off and many times they wouldn't light up anyway. But if I decide to go back to them I will keep this technique in mind, and I already passed it one to another hunter I know who has a Ravin with the lighted nocks.

Cannot turn off Ravin lighted knocks. I had Randy (Ravin Tech) at Morses Sporting Goods, Hillsboro, NH try and turn off all three Ravin lighted knocks and he couldn't without pulling the knock out of shaft using pliers. Randy said many customers complain about not being able to turn off the lighted knocks. Randy said he often lubricated the knock insert to help turn them off.
Ravin really needs to address this problem. The crossbow R20 is excellent. Not so on the lighted arrows.

No need to apologize, nothing wrong with calling them arrows because that is what they are.

What broadheads are you using? Also, if you harvested 3 deer, did you have to replace the broadhead after each deer?

Wow, these things kinda suck. Just tried them and was happy until it was time to turn them off.

You can also hold/pinch the rubber hose at the nock and shake/wiggle the point back and forth through the air and it will also turn off the nock. I think there's a couple of YT vids that demostrate this technique. And BTW, the correct term is *arrows*, and, in fact that's what Ravin calls them in the owner's manuals too. Ravin might have miss-marketed their crossbow as *your next rifle*, but they got it right on the arrows. However due to today's marketing, the term bolt is equally used.

Just returned 6 bolts at 25 bucks a piece. Out of the box. First shot blew the knock to pieces. On 4 of 6. Junk. Ravin needs to look really hard at this

Have you had an issue w extreme tightness in installing the nock? I have the recomended nock for my ravin (arrow) ther called. Bolt.. anyway im destroying the luminoks on second shot. Led and battery stuck in the arrow w no nock left. Do these need trimmed to slide in easier? Thanks

Yeah, for some reason the replacements have been garbage..I gave up on using them..Just run standard bolts now. Vital Limits can custom make way better lighted bolts for you

Really actually the Ravin lighted nocks are a waste of money I bought a bunch of them they didn't even last a year and they were all dead and I have the hardest time even the good ones getting them to light up when you shoot a shot two Bucks this year and I could not get them to light up so if they're not going to work right why buy them

''Most of you probably have a fuel line around in the house'' ... I don't think so...Ravin sells a tool for that, $15

If you do not have a piece of rubber fuel line in your house, one may question your ability to operate a Ravin, or even hunt

It's still an arrow and not a bolt Not that it matters. I got my luminox to shut off

And after you do that you load it in the xbow and it goes on.

If you use the extinguisher, there is no need to pull back. As the material in the puller /extinguisher compresses on one side then the other, it pushes the nock straight back, but you have to grip the arrow and the nock to make that happen. ua-cam.com/video/rCNZpWt1KHU/v-deo.html

If you are using bolts built after 2018, I have run into several that will not turn off no matter how hard you try

Worthless product. They light up when you install them on the bolt then you can’t shut them off. If it goes off it comes back on. Waste of money.

This is bull Shit they don’t turn off and when you get them to they turn back on by thrmselves

  • @nomansland4811
    @nomansland4811 2 роки тому

It ain’t that easy. Installed 3 spent and hour trying to turn them off. They kept coming back on. Worthless as far as I’m concerned. Throwing money away.
