Had a similar issue with my OEM Mission bolt with Lumenok, say the same tool and video…only to find out the ‘new’ ones have a small hole that you insert something and lift up to turn off. Found this out AFTER I literally pulled the nock out of the bolt trying to pull/wiggle/twist and yank.

The video and subject matter are spot on!
Because I want a lighted nock, what I did was also mentioned in your video.
Emery cloth, sand the nock down until you can start it into the bushing at least 1/4 of the way by hand It still should be sufficiently snug while doing this step. Next pull it out “by hand”, and put string wax on it. It should be snug but not too tight!! You shouldn’t need to stand it on the ground to push it in. Use the alignment tool and push it in with your palm. Iight should turn on and that stupid ass extinguishing tool will work. Sucks but I open up all my packages of them lighted nocks and sand them ridges down then put them back in their packaging until needed. That’s when I apply the wax. Been working great for a long time! Just wish Ravin would pull their head out of their asses and do some quality control on the business end of the x-bows. Can’t realistically shoot anything consistently with a couple thousand dollar or more x-bow if the ammo “so to speak” is JUNK!!! Please Ravin,Try to argue that with your customers !!!!!
    Quality gets Respect
Junk costs you more than you can imagine.
Strings cables arrows nocks- you pretty much lost 90% of your customers by being money hungry! Now you lose!! And you lose a lot
    Stick that in your database

Great video. I find it a bit confounding that Ravin can build an excellent compound bow - the bow is a work of engineering excellence. If they can build a crossbow, why cant they build a switch to turn off the lighted nock. I just don’t get it… Ravin needs to wake up and fix this.

Actually I got the replacement tips last week and just got knocks today and just tried to loosen the knock and it won't budge... I may try Cabela's dundee or bass pro in Perrysburg to check for that tool..

Frankie I got mine off Amazon and it works a lot better than the ravin tool, that ravin tool is junk another tip for you if you buy the non-lighted arrows And use the replacement lighted knocks your aero will be a little bit over 400 grains they put different inserts in the lighted nock arrows that they sell as a package that are lighter inserts compared to the non-lighted arrows to make up the difference in weight the lighted nock you install. And it is a pain dealing with ravin to get new bushings or new arrow inserts, that is the only place you can get them raven won’t give up any info on bushings or nocks or even sell them on there sight… hope everything works out for you and your season goes good

I'm use to just using regular bolts but got tired of losing them lol not cheap.. I have this tool that came with the new knocks but it doesn't do much because there so tight inside the bolt

Lucky enough I haven’t lost any of my non lighted bolts even after shoot a deer, I always used to run lighted nocks before I had a ravin
And never had these types of issues until I bought a raven but now with that tool it’s a lot better and I can turn off a nock with 10 seconds now compared to 15 mins with the ravin tool. Honestly that raven tool didn’t do anything I had to use pliers to pull them out which would damage the lighted nock and put the grooves from the pliers in the plastic

Had exact same problem. Gave up on lighted nocks. Ravin, why not develop a Hall effect switch using a permanent magnet to turn off?

I do just found this out here lately in the last week, I bought the replacement lighted nocks and took sandpaper around the part that you insert into the bushing a little bit so it wasn’t so tight, and the tool that you need is the 10 point arrow puller that looks like a pair of vise grips so much easier, if you put it in the vice grip arrow puller and give it a little shake and it will turn off nothing like this video where you had to shake the crap out of it. I need to put up another video on it hope this helps

I shoot them through a ravin r29x. It’s not hard to turn them off and you don’t need that tool. You do need strong fingers or a pliers. If you don’t have fingers as unbelievably strong and supple as mine, take your arrow, put some thick fabric over the noc or a couple layers of your t shirt or pants, old rag, whatever, and grab the noc with the fabric on it so it sits with the noc completely in the pliers running the same way as the arrow does. In other words the pliers will be coming straight off the arrow shaft. Then, squeeze the noc in the pliers while holding the shaft with thee other hand and then SLIGHTLY put pressure on like you are trying to snap it on half. JUST A TINY amount of force will turn the noc off. Takes literally 2 seconds to do.

Put on thing, and give it one good whip. Although it is funny watching your arms jiggle, lol.

🤣🤣🤣 won’t turn off with just one good whip terrible design for them the regular nocks aren’t at fit as the lighted nocks
