How Back Kick Negatively Affects Hurdling Technique

- In this video, I discuss how back-kick in sprinting mechanics causes a kicking action with the lead leg and a locking of the knee of the lead leg, and therefore inhibits the fluid cycling action that enables hurdlers to create speed off the hurdle. To demonstrate what I mean, I analyze still photos of two hurdlers -- one who does kick back, and one who doesn't.
