I have watched way too much of this type of content on UA-cam, and let me tell you-this channel is one of the best! You give creative and thoughtful descriptions paired with helpful visuals. Keep it up! 😊
Maybe it’s just me but I feel like us flamboyant gamines are under represented on the yt so im hoping you make more content for us! We have a lot in common even our facial structure so I know your FG lol
I felt the same way years ago when studying this stuff, so it’s my mission to make good FG content - stay tuned 😉. Oh yes your facial structure is super similar to mine haha!
tyty!! this was a really helpful guide on what to shop for, and a lot more useful than simply saying Audrey Hepburnburn as an example and then moving on
Love this!!! Hey, what about how this intersects with essences? I beg of you to please do a video of flamboyant gamines & different essences and how that can change some recommendations. 🙏 😊
Lol for context, def a flamgam here, but a lot of those “short hair, boyish chic” & super textbook Kibbe recommendations do not look quite right for me…it has taken a bit of trial & error. But I think something about my essence blend and the “flavor” of flamgam I am change how some of those recommendations read.
@@ourcozycorner8517yessss trust me this was me! The short hair looks and the boyish vibes did not work for me. I’ll be doing a lot of videos on each essence and then yes I’ll be doing LOTS of videos on all the essence mixes with the body types 😎 stay tuned!
@@myleneamelie yay!! Super excited! I’m very curious what you think about this & especially flamboyant gamines considering by the very nature of being a flamgam it means there is going to be a *lot* more variation within the category as compared to others like classics or naturals or dramatics since those are pretty well defined but gamines are such little Picasso paintings so recommendations are going to be trickier & more specific to the individual or maybe by essence. Whenever I tired of trying kibbe recommendations for fg I started returning to things that at least appeal to my essence blend. It isn’t totally satisfying but it works better than the reverse. 😬 especially now that I know my color palette which unsurprisingly correlated with the essences. Lol the kibbe rabbit hole. 😅
@@ourcozycorner8517 yes completely agree! The moment I stopped using Kibbe as a style and only used it as a body structure guide it changed everything for me! Essences are such fun and fluid things ☺️. My colour season also goes really well with one of my essences! Style is just so much fun! I’m glad you’re experimenting and enjoying the ride
Join Chester (🐕) and me as we discuss my body type (yay) called Flamboyant Gamine. They are short, boxy with longer limbs (for such a compact and narrow frame). Are you a Flamboyant Gamine? Or know one?
I'm a flamoyant gamine. I really liked your recomendations! I usually dressed as a dramatic classic ( I have a big boobs which I think make me seem more boxy then I am and because of that I tend to use mmore monochromatic looks), which i think we can borrow ;) But you're the best in this, great tips. Thank you!
Thank you!! Glad it helps! Haha I sometimes steal Dramatic Classic lines because I have some classic Essence, so I get it 😉. Ah yes I could see how monochromatic would look beautiful with a bigger bust, great work!
Oh! So fun that we are both FG our faces are so different! Ppl think i'm soft bc im overweight and my face is cute, but i've Tried SG accomodations and it is just... not right. I look broader than i am in SG clothes.
Yes!! People assume everyone in a body type will look the same, and it's just not true, we are all uniquely beautiful and all valid in a body type :). Ah yes haha, I felt that same broadness the moment I put on SG clothes, I get it!
Hi! It all really depends on whether you overall look more curvy or more angular. In other words, if the majority of your structure leans towards angularity then you'd follow the angular lines in the clothing suggestions (i.e. no waist emphasis needed and structured clothing). If though, your hourglass shape is very pronounced and fleshy, and it's the first thing people notice when they see you, then you focus more on waist emphasis in your outfits. This is just a general suggestion, as I can't really give you a definitive answer without analyzing you properly. Hope this helps!
Loved this presentation and visual recommendations. I am Gamine, like the OG Gamine. Not entirely Flamboyant and far from Soft Gamine. In the current Kibbe system, I would be considered more of a Flamboyant Gamine. But the Kibbe system has some flaws and is quite dated.
@@rosanilebron1566 thanks for watching, glad you liked it! Agreed completely (there’s sooo much variation on body types) I’m working on my own system to help fix those issues 😉
if im all of these characteristics but i have a pronounced hourglass, would i be a soft gamine or theatrical romantic? i am petite, very compact but definitely have curve as well.
Great question! I think for this, I would try out the two lines and film yourself moving around. TR can handle tightness around their curves, SGs are more like mini SCs in that they look good with some flowy and softness but not super tight fitting. Whichever feels more natural and you move naturally in is probably your body type. Also remember everything exists on a spectrum and it is possible to sit between two body types as well :)
Thank you for this. I've been struggling to find videos that visually shows examples of what lines flamboyant gamines should wear. Just discovered I am one. 😊 Subscribed and hoping for more FG content!
great video! I am really torn between flamboyant gamine or soft gamine as my body type, since my limbs are short (my arms, legs and neck) but I naturally gravitate towards most of these recommendations and lines. Can’t wait for a soft gamine video so I can be sure!
I'm a soft gamine and I also can't wait for a soft gamine video! Honestly, a lot of the times the gamines can get away with wearing a lot of the same/similar outfits :) I'm sure she will address this but the easiest way I understood it - FGs have longer, leaner limbs, and their sharp or broad frame stands out more than their softness, more frame dominance. SGs have shorter limbs, and their curves or softness catch your eye before their angular structure does. Alyssa Rudman's shorts illustration 'SOFT GAMINE vs FLAMBOYANT GAMINE' on youtube might you see it visually!
Some lines are the same, but yes I’m sure once you see the Soft Gamine guide you’ll know for sure 😉. Some people are closer to the pure gamine body type (it’s rare) but generally speaking you’ll either lean towards more angular or more soft. But I’ve had clients who are closer to pure gamine and I’ve either placed them in FG or SG depending on the overall appearance they give. My advice would be to take videos of yourself in the FG lines versus the SG lines and you’ll be able to tell when you watch back 😊. Thanks for watching!
@@tana3875 I’ll be doing lots of comparison videos on all the body types either end of this year or in the new year! I’ll be doing it a bit differently, in a way that I think will be incredibly helpful for everyone ☺️
It’s rare BUT if the rest of the characteristics lean towards FG or if your overall appearance is very FG then yes it’s possible. Generally speaking though, Soft Gamines are the ones with shorter limbs ☺️. I’m doing a video on Soft Gamines this week, so maybe do a comparison!
@@myleneamelie thank you! ☺️ I think I am probably little bit rare 😁 but i have little bit more "yang" for SG.. ok im looking forward for next video ❤️
@@magickakosmetika Definitely possible! It's all spectrums, so yes extremes and everything in between exists. Try out the clothing lines for both FG and SG and film yourself walking around in them, it'll help narrow down too 😉
I always thought I had short limbs and saw a few videos on how to tell and I was wrong... My torso is not as long as I thought and my arms and legs are long for my petite size. Couldn't believe I had it all backwards.
