I’ve the hardest time ever with Kibbe and I’m even on social media fashion groups where people really deep dive and consider things. I’ve been suggested SN, Pure R, and SG by crowd sourcing and it’s so split I put kibbe on hold, and I’ve been exploring it for almost a year now. The way you’ve explained it helped me so so much, I’m 90% certain my curves are musculature and that I’m a SN! I think what throws people off is that they don’t see “width” immediately (I’m something of an optical illusion) I have an extremely prominent bust line (natural) for my rib cage (36G). But flesh competing with muscle for the spotlight makes 100% sense for me! I also look quite short though I’m 5”4
Yay!! So glad I could help :). If you're 90% sure then it's probably right haha. It's okay too if you're a short and a SN, they exist! It's all a spectrum and if musculature with softness resonated with you, go with it ;)
This is so much clearer than the kibbeconfusion i encountered. So helpful! Wish the part about rounded was longer and showed a few more smaller rounded people who are fleshy but less voluptuous
@@cheryl8069 glad you thought it was helpful!! there may be more examples of that in the Theatrical Romantic & Romantic videos I’ve done. Thanks for watching ☺️
I like how you broke these down! To piggy back off the other comment, it would be cool and I think helpful for people if you could then explain which kibbe body IDs would fit into each of these categories ❤ (sorry if you were already planning on doing this)
Yes of course! I wanted this video to be accessible even to those who don’t know about Kibbe content just yet. And I do go into all the curve types in some detail with each of the body types (in my kibbe playlist) but I definitely plan on doing more detailed videos with more comparisons in the future. Think of this as an introduction ☺️
Mylene-is it possible to be between 2 of these hip types? I think I fall between soft muscular and soft moderate. I believe I’m a soft natural in Kibbe, but lean more moderate on that spectrum.
Absolutely! Yes it’s all a spectrum ☺️. Katy Perry is a good example of a very moderate Soft Natural and so she can really pull off both looks (moderate softness & soft natural lines). Hope that helps!
I love hearing you talk about angularity!! We really do need more positivity like that ♡ I hope this doesn't come across as demanding, i'm just thinking since you're FG as well, you might have recomendations? I would love to see some dress recomendations other than 60s shift mini silhouette for FG?? Like, i feel like other types can pull off a Variety of dress designs and it's a bit of an insecurity for me that i seemingly can't as much?? Very paradoxical that gamines can only wear One type of dress when they're described as creative and free spirited?? It feels a bit unfair and restrictive i feel like
Oh thank you :) I just really believe all body types are beautiful in their own ways and should all be celebrated! This is a great question! I'd love to do a deep dive on a lot of the body types, because yes so far I've focused more generally, but I'll go into detail probably early next year :)
Mylene, thank you for this video. I think my Kibbe ID would be some kind of a Classic because my ribcage and shoulders are on the narrow side, yet I definitely resonate with the "sausage" when I wear skin-thight clothes and I look larger. Some space between the body and the fabric looks best on almost everyone! There's nothing better than embracing and enhancing our natural shapes! 🎉❤
I sure wanted hips as a teen. I got guys saying that girl has nothing on her body. No booty, no chest and no shape. I had so many boys saying that girl has nothing on her body, I longed for at least a little bit of shape to my hips, or to have a little bit of chest or a little bit of something. Guys just rip you apart when you have absolutely nothing in all three areas. If you have a little bit of one thing that was ok though. It when you completely lack and have nothing in all three areas.
@@delicatemoves123 There are guys out there that will see your beauty inside and out. My husband did and like you I don't have that many curves. If I gain weight I am stocky with my petite figure. My waist is not defined enough at any weight to make any curve a wow. But my husband says I am beautiful and makes me feel gorgeous with just a look.
I would experiment! Try the angular suggestions on and then the moderate curve suggestions, take a video of yourself in both and see which one feels more natural and you’ll be able to tell a difference in which one really elevates you (plus you’ll just love your body in the correct line more, fun confidence bonus 😎)
@ I would dress according to the side curve type more than the front and back ☺️. I’ve got a lot of curve in the back and not on the sides and I still find that the angular curve clothing fits me best. But try them all out and film yourself in them and see which one feels most natural to you ☺️.
Tough one for me: I have long narrow bones and even after giving birth my body is still largely ropes of muscle from my years in dance. But I've had strong --double-- curve since at least puberty, so I give off this Jessica Rabbit/femme fatale energy even when I'm not trying. I note that one of my best looks is the wrap effect I get in my bathrobe, and draped styles similarly honor my lines more than stiff tailoring does; my main problem is that most (reasonably ethical) clothing lines that answer my needs and wants are on the pricey side. So there's that.
Ah yes! I’ve got a video coming up with my favourite place to shop where a) it’s extremely affordable, b) it’s environmentally friendly c) more ethical! Stay tuned ☺️
@@notblondeswede if you’re referring to Soft Dramatics I didn’t! They are included in the last category- their hips look great with draping and tight fitting as well
Great question! There’s a difference between flashiness and fat, because every single body type gains weight differently and all can have fat on their bodies. It’s really about how it collects and where! It’s helpful to look at pictures of yourself at different weights and see where the weight collects. I talk about how each body type gains weight in my Kibbe body type playlist ☺️. It’s a super helpful clue into figuring out your body type!
