    The vocal chop method is amazing, I tried it wth different vocals and you will not actually get bad results, you only need to tweak a lil bit and you have amazing vocal chop. Thank you for this tip!

      For chopping samples, phase shuffler is the key but for crazier results or melodic bits, seed is the way to go. Glad you like it 🙏

    That bassline at 1:38 "Who's gonna take you home...!"
    I found ditching these tools and just jamming on a P Bass or a synth pad for a while gave me more satisfactory results. Tidy up the midi afterwards etc ...this sort of feature seems more for when you're really stuck in a rut and at a deadline.

    • @Zdrewe

      If you slice to new track it will create an instrument rack for you with pre assigned knobs. One of the first ones (as I remember correctly) is responsible for attack time of all slices. Just adjust it a little bit 😉

    Great demonstration and well explained! That said, I’m still not fully convinced of the utility these updates bring. I get that those are more interesting bass lines than holding down whole notes for a bar, but they’re nothing I wouldn’t come up with just playing a few takes myself.

    • @Zdrewe
      @Zdrewe  9 місяців тому +2

      I agree, playing things on your own will always be superior to generating patterns. On the other hand generation can save your nerves during those less productive days or simply just give you some happy accidents to work with further

      Well, those are nowhere near AI and imagination is what actually make those generated patterns come to life. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still gonna defend playing (or drawing) stuff in but those generative tools are just like a modern version of sequencers which were also used by the greatest

      Not really, as the results are curated by the user. If they lack creativity, they will get poor results...but they would get poor results whether or not they used these generators.

      @@humfreeeagreed my friend. I made a very similar comment in another video.
      Shitty ideas, shitty results. There's still not a substitute for a good producer with original ideas that can do sound selection, arranging, mixing and mastering.
