Have I found a fix for my short length discharge hose for the washer machine? God willing I have. The process was fairly simple. Keep watching to find out what I did.
I bought that same hose this morning and extended my drain hose on my new GE washer. I haven't tested it out yet but it's good to see it worked for you. Don't know why they make these hoses so short...
I just did this yesterday. I also was afraid to cut too much hose, so I should cut enough so that I don't have such a long "loop" at the bottom of mine either. It's harder for the pump to push it up if there's too much length?

Just purchased the same hose for the same problem with my LG washer.
Keep an eye on the water supply hoses the plain rubber ones tend to wear out as opposed to the metal braided ones at the big box stores😃
