That's why we got a toy hauler with a 4800 lb. cargo carrying capacity, and we use scales to make sure it's distributed properly. But you're 100% right, most RVers overload their RVs and break things and then blame everyone but themselves.

The GVWR of our motorhome includes a full tank of gas and fresh water. Check the specs to see if the GVWR of your rig includes that too. Best thing is to always take it to CAT scale before heading out and at least once or twice a year, especially if you full-time.

That's not what GVWR means. GVWR means Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. It's the maximum weight of everything. You're probably thinking of the Unloaded Vehicle Weight / Curb Weight.

I think the ultimate point of this video is that it is very easy to overload a trailer or vehicle. I have a 9 passenger conversion van that has a cargo capacity of 1300 pounds. If I take a ride with 9 200 pound people I've exceeded the capacity by 500 lbs, and we don't have any luggage.

@@jeffscars2713 after looking again, the conversion company mislabeled my van. I have a 3500 with 9900 GVWR, they labeled it a 2500 with 8600 GVWR.

I see the problem. Too much soda.

Why anyone would want to put up with the constant hassle of these things that sit on the driveway or at an RV storage unit 99% of the time is a mystery.

So your ranting bout weights and RVer’s over loading there trailer/ How bout starting your video with a CAT scale ticket. Without it your just guessing and you have no creditable rant

@@jeffwatson2234 I know what my trailer weighs, but 70 to 80% of the people out there towing travel trailers probably don't and want to blame manufacturers when they flatten their springs, blow tires or rub tires on their wheel wells.

@@jeffscars2713 Well you may think you do ! But again with out proof of a scale ticket , no one going to listen to what you have to say / i scale bout every trip out we are always with in 200lb of the 20400lb gross I’m on 5200lb axles and there around 8800-8900lb and 2000- 2150lb on the pin
