I'm renovating a dresser for the 1st time in my life at 70 yrs old. It's taking me a while because the sanding upsets my arthritis, but I decided on Rose Blush Chalk paint for the drawers, a Rose Blush wash for the base and top but I 1st spray painted the ceramics knobs -- Rose Gold! Hope mine turns out 1/10 as well as yours did.

When I saw the metallic sponge paint then the purple stain I gave up hope on the top being salvaged but I should have known better by now!! You did an incredible job on the whole piece!

Have you done the Bondo trick on the drawer joints before? I just scored a French Provincial dresser for free and once I got a closer look at it 2 of the drawers are basically destroyed at the dove tails. I spent a lot of time digging out some weird glue and nails. Then my plan is to do what you did, glue it up proper, shoot in some pins then Bondo it all up. Then paint to cover and hope it holds. I've been questioning myself if my plan will hold the drawers together. Fingers crossed.
Bondo is a miracle worker! As long as you have the drawer all secured together the bondo is the perfect thing to use to fill any gaps or damage. I mean it’s originally used to repair wrecked cars so this stuff is strong!
