I don`t think it was the algorithms, I found you by searching "Oliver Anthony" And found your take good enough for a sub. More interesting then most the reaction videos I was being watching that day.
This man is a true man. He don't let people. Brain, wash him. Like so many young adults nowadays. See you young adults have very young parents that 😅weren't educated, too.
Is his song really the right or the left. I'd call it dead center. I see it as the government being a machine that's malfunctions and his position seems to be that both party ideologies are necessary to fix it. Fix it right. Don't care what it takes. That's the take I get on his song.
@@Jon-g2d5k I don't think his solutions are real clear. So he could support smaller government. But he seems to talk about exploitation by the wealthy. Selling my soul sounds like exploitation. And corruption. Government control in the hands of the wrong people. Not smaller or bigger. Also where he talks about the homeless. That would imply government being corrupt Not necessarily too big. My opinion.
Do you think Oliver Anthony's message criticizing the elite politicians is more provocative to conservatives and Republicans than it is to liberals and Democrats? The reason I ask is that it seems like since Trump entered politics in 2016, many of his followers absolutely love and worship him, with huge rallies and all the hats, buttons, bumper stickers, mugs, crosses, and every type of Chinese made trinket in the world you can print "TRUMP" or "MAGA" on. Whereas those that voted for Hillary Clinton or Biden for the most part don't even really like Hillary or Biden, they just picked them over Trump. Certainly there were never huge Biden rallies or hats, and vests and all the stuff you saw with Trump worship. In other words, the "liberals" who voted Democrat were more likely to hate both choices, but chose the one they thought was the lesser of two evils. Disliking both sides in high politics seems like it's a lot more in line with what Oliver Anthony's message was about instead of hating one side and loving the other. In that regard it seems like he is actually more in line with the viewpoint of the left.
His followers think he's the exception to the "rich men north of Richmond." The guy who uses illegal labor at his golf clubs, has had his workers unionize against him, has been sued thousands of times for not paying workers, makes his namesake clothing accessory line in China... But his fans think this guy, with his entire life of self-serving behavior, is "different." Because he makes them feel good about their bigotry. Their sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, religious bias, racism - whatever. He makes them feel BRAVE and RIGHTEOUS for it. So they accept - and lie - about all that other stuff. Problem is Oliver is on record as a fan of melting-pot diversity too.
@@Jon-g2d5k Exactly. Oliver Anthony correctly calls out that politicians on both sides perpetuate the erosion of the middle class. Meanwhile MAGA absolutely worships one of the active political parties and the dear leader, with massive propaganda rallies and their own famous hats and slogans. You can make arguments for whether the leaders and candidates on the left are better or worse, but it's an absolute truth that the regular people who tend to vote left haven't been brainwashed into worshipping Biden or anyone else the same way.
Keep up the fun! Enjoy what you do.

I'd call it uninformed...if you think diabetics are out buying fudge rounds idk what world you live in
If you had to put him somewhere on the spectrum I'd go with small-government conservative.
