    Inline putter here with another tip for inline putters in case the feet alignment doesn't help - Missing right used to be my most common miss as well. One thing that helped me correct that is paying attention to where I bring the disc down to. In your video, your hand comes down between your legs, and you can see as you bring it forward, your hand is moving to the right half of your body, so there's no question it will miss right (unless it hyzers back in time). If I make sure I bring the disc down to my right front pocket/quad area, it makes the forward motion a straight line towards the basket, helping eliminate the side to side misses.
    Great video and information as always!

    After coming back into the game, I've found the Pure to be just so damn GOOD. This is very new for me as i used to put Wizards and then P2s and back to Wizards when they came out with Pure White plastic. They just did not feel good after taking a 2 year break. The Pure though, well, its just Pure. Just got some Opto Xs for throwing but as I was getting back into the game I knew throwing baseline Pures would help me re-learn my angles. And it did. I cant say enough good things about the Pure putter.

    honestly with anything its good to have downtime to let your mind and body acclimate to your new form or whatever it may be. Also like people say disc golf can be just as much mental as it is physical and it pays to run through your form in your head so even if you do miss some sessions it doesnt affect anything or hinder progress.

    Nice job! Yeah, figuring out that your three fingers on the flight plate and your thumb are active in creating spin was a game changer for me too. Curl your fingers, create pressure between them and your thumb, and push the flight plate forward (around the center of the disc) to produce spin (along with everything else). Gannon Buhr has a great putting video also.

    • @bushlite333
      @bushlite333 10 місяців тому

    Good stuff in this one man - love the idea of some of the mental parts of putting you talked about. Expecting and not hoping to make your circle 1 putts is a great way to look at it. We really should expect to make these as all of us have probably made ten fifteen twenty in a row and there is no reason that should change just because the pressure in any round. Staying loose and just getting your arm fully extended will get many of these to drop if you developed the proper muscle memory. Tough tee shots or upshots sure those can feel way tougher if you arent throwing your best but putting is so much more controllable than those shots if u earn it. Get the practice in peeps the scores are on the greens :)

      what are some good putters for the baby hands club? Right now, I have a K1 line berg, soft berk, atom, and chief suregrip. I like the chief because it is shallow, berg gives me extra grip. atom is the middleman that I know I should be putting with but haven't been comfy yet.

    I've got to share something with you about longer putts, I do them with an Axiom Paradox and it's freaking magic. They come out of a small hand easier because the bottom is shallow, it's no bead and the bottom edge is rounded, the plastic is the perfect balance of traction and slipping out and the understability means I can do my 30 foot power at 40 feet or 40 at 50 etc

I always put off actually practicing putting because I don't get to play more than once every 2 weeks due to full time school and whatnot, and I want to actually be able to go play a course. But I need to go out and not play a course and just spend that time at a practice basket to get better.

If you do this with 4 putters across 18 holes, you do 3 extra putts every hole and that alone is 50 extra putts just in that one round!

    Actually insane how good you are with only 100 putts a day… in all honesty though 100 is not very many, under 30 minutes? My understanding from what I’ve heard from Brodie and a couple other really good putters is that they do more like 1-2 hours per day. Understandable if it’s hard to put in that time with all the videos you make, but at the same time if you want to play on the pro tour you gotta practice like the pros (specifically ones that haven’t been playing their whole lives). Also fieldwork/ network like 5 days a week is more like a pro. Curious your thoughts?

    • @BodanzaDiscGolf
      @BodanzaDiscGolf  Рік тому +2

      There have been seasons that I've done an hour or so a day, and I plan to for sure ramp up training, but it's like I said in the first few minutes updates, there are different stages of professionals seasons with both content and discgolf that I have to weigh and make the best decisions, also living in a van is not easy as lots of the daily things like making easy meals, showering, etc are much longer tasks. It's the long game. And 100 is the bare minimum, but it's a much more achievable goal than an hour, so sometimes it's an hour, sometimes it's not, but the consistency of daily, rather than an hour or two maybe twice a week, is more helpful imho.
