Proof again.. That Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band ever. Also proof that computers will never replace the spontaneity and excitement of a skilled live drummer.
Todays offerings are turds floating about in the toilet bowl.
Damn,I’m so grateful I was born a boomer and soaked it all up.
well i prefer pink floyd BUT zep is a close 2cd forme
Just here for the simps comments without any return from Podcaster funny as hell
@@bobdam4478 Zeppelin was rockin and dominating right of the bat .. it took pink Floyd a while before they hit big . I've got zeppelin at 1 , deep purple at 2 and pink Floyd at 3 ... Just my two cents .
I love Led Zeppelin but there was lot of brilliant bands
no band will ever come close to performing like lz live. not possible
Robert said, "Some nights we were shite, other nights we were the best thing to ever walk on the stage," this was one of the best nights I think!
My son is instructed to play this at my funeral in it's entirety and tell everyone "You're welcome."
I want Sevendust's "The Wait" played at my Memorial service.
BEST and most versatile Band EVER. If I had to choose one band to listen to forever it would be Led Zeppelin.
Ditto.
The doors
I was at this concert, in May 1975 at Earls Court in London. Three hours and 20 minutes of the greatest music ever created , with a spectacular light show and thunderously loud sound system. GOAT!!!!
I was there on Friday 23rd May but there don't seem to be any clips from that night. Rebeka should watch Trampled Underfoot, that one nearly took the roof off.
I also saw them live in '75 but at the Forum in L.A. It was also over 3 hours log, with no opening act, and with I believe at least 3 encores. What a night that was, unforgettable for sure.
@@hmsljj Yeah those were the days. No one plays over 90 minutes these days, often much less. Zep put everything they had in to every show.
I envy you!
@@anitapaulus937 When I finish building my time machine I’ll take you back there! 10 rows from the front. Two shows, a week apart. How about it??
The Mighty Led Zeppelin - no one quite like them.
Still the greatest band to ever grace this planet!
Yep.
Unbelievable. The absolute best rock band of all time. No one has ever came close to the power.
There are giants of rock and then... there is Led Zeppelin. That name is all that has to be said.
That's why they're called "the mighty Zep"
Even though they are doing this LIVE they are still in Perfect Timing 😮😮
People usually cite Vol 4 and Stairway as the definitive LZ album and track but I personally believe Physical Graffiti is their album peak and you can choose any track you like because they are all absolute monsters in their own way. This album is, imho, perfection.
Agree! 100%
Stairway isnt even close to their best song. Maybe top 15 for me. This song is a top 3 for me. Physical best album.
Yes it is but for me,I cannot separate PG & Vol II.
Must have been something in the water in the UK from ‘63 to about early 90’s.
Stunning consistent top quality.
Paul, I agree 100%. I bought Physical Graffitti as soon as it was released. Love all their music but PG covers the essence of all the other albums in one at their best imo. Every track is just so on point. MARK
AGREED!
LZ is a one off rarity... never to be repeated it would seem.. we were lucky in our generation
Music that makes you glad to be old.
That's right!
50yrs of listening, that is the best live performance of any band.
“That’s gotta be the one id’nt it…..BRILLIANT!!!”🤩😆🤣😂🫵👏🤘✌️🫶❤
I was a senior in high school when Physical Graffiti was released.
It moves your soul
BEST BAND EVER
You are witnessing true contemporary music genius, the likes of which will never be matched or surpassed!
....................and this is one reason they were the best. The gold standard. Never to be attained by any band ever again.
The Drumming in this is Epic! Bonzo flat smashed them...
Mustn't overlook JPJ's stellar base in this one 🙂
Bonham's drumming on this just isn't even humanly possible..... R.I.P John.... 🙂
LZ totally killed it in this performance. To LZ fans of which I have been one since 1973 at age 13, if any non-believers tell u LZ was NOT one of the best LIVE bands ever, simply show them this. One of the comments made after Bonham's death as to the reason the band made the decision to not go forward without him is that Bonham grew and experimented in live touring shows to progess the songs they had produced for their albums. In doing so, it in essence forced all members to treat each performance as a jam session live. In doing so, it opened the door for criticism from fans as we all wanted to hear our fav songs performed EXACTLY the way we loved them on our albums. It took me some years to grow to fully appreciate some of their live performances and how they did their shows. LZ was and remains my favorite band. Ty for sharing here. MARK
One hears greatness so rarely. Mostly it isn't. THIS IS!
They are by far THEBEST!!!!
Best band EVER!
Speechless is right Rebeka. I don't think anyone does live performances like this anymore.
They sure don't
Check out Sevendust.
The Who comes close
The Mighty Zeppelin.
Their concerts were often 4 hours. There will never be another Zep
No there won't! 4 greatest musicians making pure magic!
Rebeka this was recorded the same year tour that I saw in Long Beach Arena, Calif. They would do 3 1/2 hours of this non stop "God Rock" which must have wore them down totally. Imagine Bonham hammering the drum kit and Pagey playing dramatically for 3 1/2 hours without a break! I have never seen a band go that long without a break of some kind. Glad you are into this song since it is my all time favorite song performance that they do. OH, in 1975 our tickets were only $8.50 for the gig. You can't even get a good drink for that much today. Heh. Peace.
I saw Elton in 1975 and he did 3 & 1/2 hours, but did take about a 10 minute intermission ( he came out in completely different clothes though) Lol! Those were the daze!
@@j.kevvideoproductions.6463 True but he mainly sits on his duff on a piano seat/ Easy peasy. No sweat. His ass must get flat. Never liked him to comical.
Greatest band ever, they new it and we knew it.
GOATS - when I was a kid the local military theater had this Led Zeppelin movie playing free called "The song remains the same" and I saw that more than any other movie in my life (second is Logans Run which also was at that theater). Watching John Bonham in his dragster and the MSG concert footage including the late great Peter Grant (Greatest manager in history)
This is off of, probably, my favorite Zeppelin album.
Double album, lots of great songs including this one, Kashmir and Trampled Under Foot.
I first heard this song when I was 16 or 17 as I listened to the album the 1st time.
I was just 10 Years Old when they played this. But even when I Graduated from Highschool in 84 they had the Number One Requested Song for the Year every Year for over 20 Years was Stairway To Heaven. On Kacey Kaysom Top 100 songs for the Year and LED ZEPPELIN was on the top of the Mountain Still.....
Meet me Jesus, meet me in the middle of the air, if my wings should fail me Lord, please meet me ... with another, pair! Pure unadulterated swag before we had the word in our lexicon!
Greate live performance from LZ, and I love how you dont stop it every 15 seconds; this was a gem!
Totally got into this great performance. Another gem by the gods!!!
The day after Christmas 1968 Zeppelin played their first ever US concert in Denver, Colorado, where I'm from. I wasn't there (I was 14) but I was the next time they played in Denver, and pretty much every time after.
I may be old, but I've seen all the good bands. Zep, Floyd, Stones, Tull, Who, Moody Blues, and usually for $10 or so.
I will give you ten euros to access your memory banks
Best band ever
Absolutely vicious slide guitar work backed by musics greatest rhythm section Bonham and Jones.
Killer vocals by Plant.
1975 Zeppelin had reached the top of the mountain
As wine ages, so does my opinion. I now think Plant was the weakest member. Don’t get angry with me, just realize how top flight the rest of the band was.
I haven’t downgraded my opinion of Plant, just elevated JPJ and Bonzo. Plant was more important than JPJ and Bonzo off stage. That fact may be falsely factored into Plant’s on stage performance impact.
@@Robusphere there is no weakest member.
@@andreyivanov-ri3cr Gestalt. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
I have never heard this song live. Fantastic!
Trampled Underfoot from the same tour is the heaviest funk you’ll ever wrap your ears around.
Amazing gig.
@@TheCornishCockney, oh my gosh you're not kidding. That performance will melt one's face off. It's incredible
Another beauty is "Since I've Been Loving You" live. Every bit as amazing as this.
Ten years gone!
Nobody's Fault, But Mine
No Quarter...
Their first four albums are masterpieces! 👋😎👍
My all time fav Zeppelin song. Four guys at the top of their game.
Yah, it's hard to sum this performance up in words. Exquisitely awesome maybe. Such conviction and improvisation. All of them are at the top of their game. What a performance!
Peter , dont get me wrong , Zeppelin is my favorite and this performance is great with some improvisation which Zeppelin did alot . But check this out , you will never hear anyone play this closer to the album version than this band from Philledelphia, P.A . .check out ....Get the Led Out ..sound check ..In My time of dying , Salina Kansas 11/18/11 even the drumming is more spot on and the singer is the closest to Robert I have ever heard . The video is black and white ...let me know what you think
It’s a helluva performance. You definitely have to have some balls to even think about performing this song live.
Great song and wonderful reaction. This is from my favorite Led Zeppelin album Physical Graffiti.
Simply their best. 100 other songs come very very close but ... this is is the one!
No sample, no autotune, no shit, this is music
This was the 4th song of the night as well…they were on fire from the moment they hit the stage
I have checked you out already 5 -6 songs and I come to the conclusion I enjoy jaming with you. thanks
Bonham is a beast in this song . Brilliant ... nuff said .
So filthy! Just a masterpiece
Absolutely love your reaction to one of my favorite Zepp songs ROCK ON
Saw Zep in January 1973, for the first time, at Southampton University, England, 3 feet from the small stage - two hours of their best stuff and and an hour of good old rock and roll where we all got up and boogied - I've got the bootleg from this show and still play it when I feel a bit old and nostalgic.
I envy you. I was 12 when Bonzo died.
WOW!! This was POWERFUL Live, & on Stage!!
Led Zep & Pink Floyd greatest bands that ever hit a stage.
you so respectful to Led Zep. that counts.
So many interrupt.
You deserve credit 💯
wonderful NO COMMENT review
When I was very young, wasn’t into hard rock or heavy metal- Led Zeppelin always stuck out as having so much more soul than their contemporaries.
how can you not love the slide guitar work
Somebody is lucky !!!! beautiful and loves Led Zeppelin. It’s like a four leaf clover good for you.
I was at this show. They played at this level of intensity from exactly 8pm until 11.15. Imagine that. Never seen anything like it before or since.
When I listen to Led so do my neighbors. A mile away.😁✌❤🔥
The version they played on feb 12 1975 is even better. Amazing.
New York! I loved that night's performance of Dazed and Confused as well. What a great boot👍
That’s a band firing on all cylinders. The absolute best.
Love that Danelectro! Jimmy loved cheap guitars. I read somewhere that Jimmy would practice 4 hours before a concert.
👍🇬🇧❤BEST BAND EVER 🎸
Great performance great song and really love this Album!!! Have a great day all you Zepp Heads Peace and Love.
It is not a music. It's Voodoo,mesmerising shaman's dance. F&ckin' incredible.
You crack me up sometime Rebeka 😄 but I agree with you. Sometimes there are no words to even describe something so brilliant, especially when performed live with added elements of freestyle in the performance.
This is a slightly different version than what appears on diss two of the led Zeppelin live DVD. This is supposed to be a version of in my time of dying from their performance at Earl's Court in 1973 or maybe 75. This song was taken from a old black gospel song performed by blind Willie Johnson from the early 20th century. But the song is an amalgamation of old black gospel tunes from the period. There's a version of this that was done by Bob Dylan as Well, but other people have covered this song. I think led Zeppelin's version is the best by far.
This was on my first LZ cassette 1974 i was blown away. I was 12 🤗😈❤️🇧🇻
Lords of Rock N Roll we salute you! I N S A N E
To play there live show, they were synonymous with marathon concerts from 3 to 5 hours long. Today you would be lucky to see a performance longer than 45 minutes. And at $100 a head. There will never be another band to the likes of LED ZEPPELIN
After growing up with Led Zeppelin and 70's classic rock I will never view Rap/hip hop as a legitimate form of music.
Yeah they said the same thing about the blues... Until Elvis came along. Zeppelin are what they are because of music that was dismissed by people with closed hearts and minds. There is beauty, complexity, depth and raw soul in hip hop and rap, you just have to look for it in the right places.
@@SweetandFitting BULLSHIT. The stuff isn't music. All it does is perpetuate the gangster/criminal life style. Where do you think all these young gangsters we have today get their role models from?
Yep, I totally agree 100%. Rap/hip hop is the worst, most degenerate shit I’ve ever had the misfortune to ever hear. It’s worthless old shite, that’s been going on for 40 years too long, kept alive by the demons running the music industry, to keep the young as degenerate, useless and as criminally and morally corrupt as possible.
@@SweetandFitting, i don't like some of it, but damn if there aren't at least a few rap songs that are really catchy and enjoyable to listen to...
I won't close my mind to any kind of music - except country. Lmao 😅
I love when I was in Oakland California in 1977 saw them play this song live 😊😊❤❤
Great reaction, takes me back I was at that gig, the best ever I've been to. They had no support band, they played 3 and a half hours.
Great choice! The undisputed masters of dynamics that created the atmosphere of menace and darkness.
Probably my favorite guitar player. Taken shit for it over the years but I love his sound.
I agree. The last time I saw Zep they played for 3 1/2 hours. It's hard for me to lay on the couch for 3 1/2 hours. It was mind blowing.
3-1/2 hours+ of this, night after night. Insane.
Thank you. Thank you. Asked you to cover this a while ago. Great song. You should react to the Rover from the same album. Even after almost 50 years, I still get chills listening to them. Take care Rebeka.
Jimmy playing slide guitar. Can't get much more bluesy than that.
ABSOLUTELY GENIUS, MY GOOOOOD, I WISH I WOULD BE THERE
Truly in a different league!
I saw Zepp in London in '72 when I was 15. I will be 66 in Jan 23.
Fico sempre emocionado vendo esse vídeo. E suas reações 😊 LZ Forever 🤘🎸🎼🎶🤘
Absolutely spectacular!
Thank you Rebeka...😁
Right on! Never knew this version existed.
Nice reaction to a great song! :)
There is Zepp, then there's everyone else.. Fave tunes change daily.. Today it's "How many more Times"
He DID change his voice three times! Zeppelin at the top of their game here, firing on all 4 cylinders
Thank God that I was able to see them twice in Rotterdam in 1975 and 1980
No comment required from this end.....so much talent and genius! On my top ten list. It's so much fun to play as well!
And that was one song in a long set.
I loved your Reaction Rebeka! Fantastic! Keep them coming...
The Greatest Blues Band Ever
My brother was lucky to be the age to go to led Zeppelin concert. He always said that you were never know what you were going to get because they always add lived lots of their songs.
LED ZEPPELIN Is the greatest!
I’ll see your greatest of all time and raise you to beyond compare 👍👍
